Vacation rentals in Wirawila

Lovely, quiet, tranquil and beautiful place. Situated right next to a huge beautiful mangrove lagoon which is amazing for kayaking. A 10minute walk from the best beach I saw whilst in Sri Lanka, very wide, sandy and clean, 2ith very few people on it and just a few bars. The water here is wonderful, soft waves and great for swimming. Not great for kids to swim in as there isn't much shallow water. The vibe at the accommodation is super chilled and informal and we were made to feel extremely welcome and at home. We would most definitely come back here, one of the highlights of our trip for sure. .

We were so happy that we booked our stay at Shehan's. The accommodations had everything you needed. After travelling around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks prior to our stay at Shehan's we enjoyed how well appointed the room was, there was nothing that we would have changed. Loved that there was a mini fridge, robes and dedicated space for luggage. The care and attention that we were given was exceptional. There were so many special touches that Shehan provided that it is hard to remember them all. Some of the highlights were the scented cold clothes and juice provided at check in, the hot coffee after a wet safari, the home made snack provided when we checked out, the great conversation, etc. The grounds are well kept and we enjoyed spending time at the quiet beach that was just a short minute walk away (you can hear the waves from the villa). And finally, the food was exceptional! We thoroughly enjoyed every meal that we had. Thank you Shehan for everything!

Super friendly and very pleasant area. Had the apartment on the first floor. You have your peace, can switch off and have a nice view on palm trees in the garden. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes and see the turtles hatch right there. For the price and performance really top in this area! I am happy to recommend :)

We booked a family room with Sajan and everything is nice. Bathroom is super spacious, hot water works instantly. Amenities are all good: iron, hair drier, clothes racks are available upon request. Good wifi connection. There is also couch and patio for guests to use. Sajan also prepared us to-go breakfast with coconut at 5am when we leave for safari. Cleaniness is satisfactory . I'll recommend guest to live here.

Such a magic and breathtaking place on earth. The house is quite simple but fresh with separate bedrooms with separate doors. But what a location. Your private paradise beach but with restaurants and small nice hotels as neighbors. Tangalle town is small, friendly and with amazing restaurants. Quite and genuine. To the left you have long beaches with sea turtles. To the right more friendly to swim. The ocean is so close and the only surprise was how roaring the Tangalle coast ocean is. Bring earplugs plugs for better sleep. But all worth it waking up walking two meters and tipping the toes in sand. In your own private villa. We were a family of four and enjoyed the bedrooms, bathrooms en suite and cosy balcony and outdoor terass.

We spent a wonderful evening at the campsite. Our three kids (7, 5 and 3) absolutely loved it and made some great memories. Everything was well organised! Be prepared with your mosquito spray when sitting outside in the evening but not an issue when sleeping as the mosquito nets provided were effective. Great breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the safari as well.

Though we booked one room, the entire spacious  4 room villa was exclusively for our use. The villa had all the modern amenities, well kept and clean."

Uchith and his wife gave us the warmest welcome and made our stay so cosy. You can really tell they are passionate about Sri Lanka and sharing the culture. Make sure to stay more than one day! They have so many activities to immerse yourself in the culture. They also gave us a wee gift at the end of our stay which I will cherish!
