We had an amazing time at the Rowan! The house is gorgeous with tons of amenities and more than enough room for our family of 5 to spread out. The kids especially loved the game room and the hot tub. My husband and I enjoyed looking at the Mountain View’s from the massive windows in almost every room 😊 There are plenty of nearby hikes (be prepared for a steep, rocky climb) and the Rt 151 micro brew trail is right at the bottom of the mountain. The hosts, Joe and Jess, were super responsive and left extremely helpful instructions for just about everything. I highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing mountain adventure to check out the Rowan!

We have become regular visitors to Roudy’s Retreat; it’s something we look forward to when planning vacation time every year. The cabin is miles above what we could ask for, and our Jaclyn is always so helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house is very spacious and offers so many amenities—including a fire pit and hot tub and plenty of toys and games to keep our kids busy. We can relax on the deck with our coffee and enjoy the peaceful mountain mornings. And it’s located within an hour at most to a number of great attractions, like Crabtree Falls (only 15 minutes), a fishing pond, Natural Bridge and Lexington. My family and I highly recommend giving this place and try, and we look forward to returning again!

The view was incredible, every morning seeing the sunset over the mountains was breathtaking. The stay was great, the local market was awesome, the overlooks were so beautiful. The host was fantastic and extremely responsive. I would like to recommend that if you want an amazing experience in the mountains I advise you to make a trip and see this amazing property. You will absolutely fall in love with it as we did.

The Co-host Amy was very proactive, responded quickly and helped to make sure we had a great stay! The house is super nice, the bedrooms were huge, besides the bunk room- it is a tiny space. We had 13 adults but still made it work! Due to the bears and laws, there is no outside trash cans but the dumpster was just up the road. The house had everything we needed from cleaning supplies, to coffee bar. I loved that there was a gas station, market and a few food options inside of the neighborhood/resort. I would recommend this house for a large group getaway! We didn’t have the weather we expected but the views were amazing. Thanks Chris and Amy!

Our group stayed here during a weekend of skiing! It was so nice to come back to this cozy cabin and play games or relax in the hot tub. There was everything you needed in this place. Also, Candice was very friendly and flexible when messaging her prior to us staying. Would stay here again!

This cabin was perfect for a secluded weekend getaway. Right up the road from a ton of breweries, vineyards and restaurants, the amenities were fantastic (wood burning stove, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, heated bathroom floor, hot tub) and the Mountain View’s were beautiful. We hope to return for another visit asap.

This is our second time in this place and we will be back again. We have so many memories here, from paddling on the pond, to sitting by the fire under the stars, and waking up to play in the river. The home is so rustic and cozy, fully equipped with everything you need. I love the disconnection from the rest, so relaxing, so needed. I recommend downloading the Google map of the area so you know how to get to hikes and attractions. Perfect for kids, perfect for couples, perfect for anyone who wants a chill or adventurous stay.

Beautiful house that is even larger and specious in person than on the photos. We had two separate families with 6 kids between us with tons of room. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil you could need. The TV had access to Netflix, Peacock, Hulu and Disney, which was a special treat for the kids. The house is only a 5 minute drive from the Mountain Inn at Wintergreen. The house has huge windows with beautiful sunrises and a view of the slopes. The driveway has lots of parking, but it is very steep. It snowed just before we arrived and it requires 4 wheel drive just FYI for anyone traveling! Overall it was an amazing stay and we can’t wait until we can come again.

Our hosts were very proactive and responsive. This Airbnb is in a beautiful location . Meals on the deck are special and especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The cozy yet spacious interior makes for a lovely space to host family for special weekends. Will definitely return! Thanks to our Hosts !

Overall, this place was great. We have a little one, so the playground, horse farm, pond, and large front lawn were perfect for keeping her entertained while we weren't exploring the surrounding areas. My only critic is that the pictures of the views were a bit misleading. You do not have a view of the mountains from your patio, but instead the view of a circular drive and the accompanying home where many folks park to go play tennis or pickle ball. You are also within about 50-100ft of 3-4 homes on the property. Despite this misrepresentation of the property, I would still recommend it as you have access to these amenities, are in beautiful area, and within close proximity to many small towns/breweries & wineries/Charlottesville/and hiking and other outdoor activities.

We had a wonderful stay at Deanie’s place. It was beautiful. It was comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds and linens were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool, the view and the people! Everyone was just wonderful. I highly recommend!!!!! Also, don’t forget to get on the list for breakfast. We were only there two mornings, but the food was very good and my family is still talking about it. I hope to return there again in the near future.

There is no reason not to give this place 5 stars. what a great place and location. The place was clean and well equipped. And very dog friendly down to the poop station outside. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful family getaway at Oak Ledge in Wintergreen. The beautiful cabin provided plenty of space for our family. After a day of exploring the Blue Ridge, it was great to come back to this home for a family meal, movie night and R&R. Host provided stellar communication, excellent recommendations and a number of much appreciated extra amenities including a kitchen with every gadget you needed. This space provided comfortable and enjoyable getaway. We were extremely pleased with our stay! Thank you for the hospitality!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The photos did not do it justice and it is even better in person. The cabin is beautiful and so well maintained, we loved all of the original details and vintage decor and characteristics. The quirks of the old home are truly charming and we enjoyed exploring each room. The house is well cooled and well ventilated, we enjoyed keeping the windows open. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked, we loved eating outside and lit a fire every night in the fire pit, and the living room was wonderful for relaxing and reading. The bed was super comfy, and the house has everything that we needed! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin, and maintaining the character of the old cabin and letting all of the original details shine! We hope to return to enjoy the mountains again.

This cabin was beautiful! The interior was gorgeous with elegant and quality furnishings. The house was well stocked with many items which was so nice. The views and setting were stunning! Every window and door gave you majestic views of mountains and wildlife! The porch as AMAZING as was the fire-pit! To top it off there is a trampoline which I enjoyed channeling my inner child all with Mountain View’s! The hiking trail was exceptionally well done which we enjoyed. The hosts were amazing in responses and help and the welcome touches were so appreciated. What a way to celebrate retirement! We will be back!

Alex and Elise are such awesome hosts! This was our 3rd time staying in their beautiful home and we have never had any issues. The house is beautiful and always in such pristine condition. The views are amazing. We always feel so welcome, even before we make the trip! Highly recommend!

Spent New Year's with my husband and two Yorkies nestled deep in the woods, and it was everything I hoped for—and more! The property is surrounded by towering trees, offering a sense of tranquility and seclusion that's hard to come by. The bed deserves a special mention— it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We spent all three days hiking some of the best trails and relaxed comfortably watching TV in the evenings with a nice glass of Malbec. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort, this Airbnb is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning! Thank you Jerry and Chris.

We loved the large deck with incredible views! There is another property very close to this one so wasn’t as secluded as we had hoped but overall we loved our stay here. Go check out Eagle Zen Winery if you have the chance.

The cabin is set in beautiful surroundings. Perfect way to disconnect from work and from real life. This cabin is so much better than the pictures. The pictures do not even do it justice. Absolutely amazing cabin and land!

Perfect retreat from the city life! Loved petting the horses and watching deer in the evening from the porch!

One of the best places we have stayed at. Check in was seamless, and the host has clear and very reasonable policies. House was spotless on arrival, every bit as good as the pictures and it was a great base for our wine tour. Host is very responsive to any questions or changes. Can’t think of a single negative from booking to staying to departing. Would book again.
