Vacation rentals with a kayak in Winston County

We had a ladies retreat here and it was a perfect place for such an event. Everything was as described. The only issue we had was parking. We should have investigated this in advance. We would definitely rent this house again. Next time we will do more car pooling. Loved it!!

Our family really enjoyed Lynn’s place. The house was very clean and there was more than enough room for the 6 of us. We caught fish right off the dock and also swam and kayaked. The dock was fun and relaxing, the deck was peaceful and comfy. We had people of all ages 16 to 66 and everyone had a blast. Thank you Lynn.

Jacob’s place was absolutely amazing. For a last minute decision to take a trip to the lake to meet up with a couple friends and escape away from our busy everyday life! Jacob’s place on the lake was 10000% very much what we needed! Everything we all needed to relax and have a good time. Fishing off the two story floating dock! To enjoying an early morning kayak that brought such a calming and soothing feeling to start off the day. All the way to big screen Roku tv perfect for getting cozy and watching Netflix movies right before hitting the comfortable beds! And not to mention the HOT TUB we all got to enjoy while watching some of our favorite music videos on YouTube on the tv while soaking up the massaging jets to relieve some tension and aches of our body from the jets! I am beyond happy with our stay here at Jacob’s place. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer even. But for now time to get back to our busy everyday life. But rest assured. We WILL be visiting again sometime! 😊😊😊

I had a college graduation party at this property. We had plenty of room for our guests to move around and mingle. It rained the majority of our stay which is something no one could have changed. We still had an amazing time. We grilled in the rain, played games, ate food, and caught up with one another. The kids really enjoyed having a loft space. We had a few littles that came and they really enjoyed the toys. I will definitely keep this property in my notes for future summer getaways. We had everything we needed and more. Lisa is a great host, very responsive, and clear instructions! 11/10 would stay again.

We loved the cottage. Lakefront, rural. Everything we were looking for in a rental. The inside was immaculate and comfortable. All amenities worked great. Strong water pressure. I will certainly look to stay there again! Hamilton is a gracious host. Stayed in contact and responded to requests and questions. He even provided snacks and s’mores. Very nice touch. Lots of clean towels.

Our family spent Thanksgiving week here and it was perfect! The home and surroundings are absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the lake! The home was exactly as described, it was spacious and inviting and perfect for a large family. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to prepare thanksgiving dinner along with many other meals. We had an amazing time creating lasting memories. Jay and April were incredible hosts who were always quick to respond. Spending Thanksgiving at their beautiful home was truly amazing! The serene environment and cozy accommodations made it such a memorable experience!

Our family enjoyed our vacation at The Poppy. The children loved swimming off the dock, & the surroundings were peaceful. The kitchens were well furnished & clean. The beds were very comfortable.

Our family vacation was loved by everyone. We originally wanted to go to the beach but decided on a lake house and we all agreed this was way more enjoyable. We absolutely would want to go back again!

I highly recommend staying at this lake house. If you are looking for a place to relax and have all the things you need to have a wonderful time then this is the place for you. Will’s hospitality and communication was the best I’ve ever experienced with an AIRBNB stay. The pictures of the home look amazing online but when you get to the lake house it is even more beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at the charming cottage on Smith Lake. The location was off the beaten path, and we loved the area. It was very peaceful with beautiful plants and wildlife to see on our walks around the cottage. The cottage was very clean, organized, and well-thought out. The things I especially loved were the desk facing the window, the metal side tables with glass lamps, the roll-out shelves in the kitchen, the gas stove, all of the supplies in the kitchen, the drying rack in the laundry room, the big windows facing the lake, and the screened front porch. Kristina was very responsive and helpful at all times! She was always friendly and professional. I couldn't ask for more from a host! Thank you so much! This was definitely one of my favorite airbnbs, and we will definitely be back!

We are very familiar with Smith Lake, so we knew this was a gem. Largely flat with a gentle slope to the water, it was perfect for young kiddos, including elderly. Conveniently located to local shops that had whatever we might need. Older home, but very comfortable and clean! Enjoyed the back deck and covered breeze-way along with the beautiful massive trees, we had plenty of shade to be able to have fun outside on even the hottest of July days. Strongly considering booking again. Loved every minute of our stay.

The location was serene and tucked away just enough to feel private, yet still convenient to nearby trails and local attractions. I especially appreciated how quiet it was at night—perfect for stargazing or curling up with a book. If you’re looking for a restful, comfortable retreat in nature, I highly recommend this cabin. This was a great location, and a beautiful home! We loved the outdoor space and the kids had the best time playing on the lily pad and kayaks! We would love to return to this home for another vacation. The communication was great between the owners and our group!

If you are looking for an older lake home you can sit back and enjoy, this is your place. The dock with kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad, high jump off dock could not have been better. My family had a great time. The only downside is it has MANY steps down to the dock. BUT, the house up on the cliff makes for the million dollar veiw.

so cute! very clean and cozy. Had a good kitchen with full stove and microwave and full size refrigerator. Everything was so clean, near and tidy. front porch was great to sit and look at the water. nice repurposed pontoon deck to sit on right on the water. only thing somewhat less peaceful is the road right next to the property where people fly coming and going but you can't hear the road noise once in the cabin. still give it 10 stars for accessibility and comfort.

This was the perfect location for our group! We loved relaxing in the lake and the cabin was so cute and cozy! Nikki our host was very helpful and responsive with any questions we had. Really enjoyed this weekend get away and hopefully will return in the future!

The pictures are absolutely true to life! The house and view were a restful haven for our family. We spent lots of time at the lake and on the dock. The dock is in an alcove of sorts, so it was perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming without fear of boats passing too close by. Bring dish towels with you (that’s the only thing I forgot that wasn’t provided). Great host and we will be back!

Very private and peaceful. If you need to get away to unwind and be surrounded by nothing but nature then this is the spot! The screened in patio was absolutely the place to be, great for reading and relaxing. I found myself sleeping out there for naps as well! The river access and privacy was also very nice! The cabin had everything you could need and was very comfortable. The only thing that was rough was the driveway to the cabin, we went during heavy rain and my Toyota Corolla (that is low) had a hard time in some spots with loose rock, and dirt up and down the hill, but we made it! Also having to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom was a bit awkward, especially if you need to go in the middle of the night 🤣 so just put your heaviest sleeper in there so you don’t wake them walking through to use the restroom! All in all great place and will definitely be back!
