House vacation rentals in Winston County

We had an amazing time at this beautiful house on Smith Lake! The property was even more stunning in person, with plenty of space and the perfect blend of comfort and style. The dock was absolutely huge and offered a breathtaking view of the lake—definitely the highlight of our trip. Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or watching the sunset, it was the perfect spot to relax. The location was also fantastic—peaceful and serene, yet super convenient. We were only about 10 minutes from the nearest Dollar General and gas station, which made getting supplies or running errands so easy. It truly felt like the perfect balance of getting away from it all, while still being close enough to everything we needed. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Can't wait to return!

A kind host and a wonderful stay! The perfect place for pets to stay on an extended work trip. The farmhouse is beautiful and the farm animals added to our enjoyment. The host was very responsive to any issues that arose. The location is rural but close enough to Hartselle and Falkville for quick runs to town.

Beautiful home & location! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful! The lake access is a bit of steep walk (we knew this ahead of time), we didn’t have any issues with it, but it wouldn’t be ideal for older guests or people with mobility issues. The pool was beautiful and clean! Would definitely stay here again.

We took our daughter and six grandkids for a three day stay at Eriks house. We had a wonderful time. It is very kid friendly with lots of things for them to do. They all swam a few times in the pool (the heater kept it warm enough for them) and fished for hours every day at the pond. The house really accommodates a large group easily with lots of dishes, utensils, a large dining table, and lots of seating. I recommend this place for families who want to have a great time and build wonderful memories.

We were so happy to find this place in haleyville! We have a big family so having a place for everyone is hard to find., especially with a pool! The house is dated for sure but it has everything you need. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We’re hoping to stay here again! The host was great and answered timely to any questions we had.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very well done! It was comfortable, very clean and the view of the lake perfect. Daniel was very responsive to all our questions. If we are in the area again we Wouk’s definitely stay here again.

Our group of 14 had plenty of room at this beautiful new home! We'd love to stay here again; the beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked for cooking needs (be sure to bring groceries and spices; closest dollar general is 20 min out), and an easy walk to/from the water for young and old. Highly recommend!

This home was adequately described in the listing. The host was the most responsive I've ever dealt with. The home is in a gated community. Very private. All amenities were as listed. Although we always take our own coffee and supplies, there is a full coffee bar...both pot and k-Cup. Internet was sketchy but that wasn't a big deal for us. We didn't travel with the family this time, but the game room is amazing. No room for boredom if you are traveling with kids. There were deer, squirrels, turkey every day. There is a canoe and kayak. We hiked and cycled for this trip, but those were also available to us. The Bankhead National Forrest was all we hoped it would be. That is where we spent our days. We will be back.

We had the best time at the lake house! Kevin was so pleasant to work with and always very responsive. The place was even more beautiful in person than in pictures.

The home and views are gorgeous!!! Our daughters, son-in-laws, and grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the lake and the activities it provided: fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, relaxing, reading, game playing, etc. The kitchen was well stocked. I considered taking a large crockpot, but it wasn't necessary because I found two in the cabinet. The host was friendly and communicated well. He informed us about the steep drive and limited parking near the house. However, it wasn't a problem because there was ample parking above the concrete driveway where numerous vehicles parked.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway! Will be going back next year!

From the moment we turned into the driveway we were amazed at how beautiful this property was. An excellent location near Duncan Bridge. The house was spotless and beautiful. The view is wonderful with well maintained landscaping. The kitchen is well stocked, comfortable bed and plenty of linens. The dock is spacious and the screened-in deck is very peaceful!! The host was very helpful and responsive when we had questions about docking our boat in the slip that has a hydro hoist. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon!

I booked this reservation for my husband and his crew for an out of state job. My husband reported back to me that Jacob’s place was very clean, comfortable, and the views were beautiful. Per my husband the gift basket with treats was especially thoughtful and the kitchen/grill were perfect for food preparation for their group. My husband says, “I give it five stars and I would stay there again if I am ever back in the area!” Thanks Jacob!

PERFECT LOCATION!!! 🤩

Our stay at the White Oak Cottage was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we could tell the hosts had thought of everything to make our trip special. They even left us supplies for s’mores, and sitting around the fire pit making them together created memories we’ll never forget. The back porch, with its charming tin roof, became my favorite spot for a cozy afternoon nap while listening to the soft patter of rain. The dock was amazing too, we spent hours relaxing on the lily pad and paddling around in the kayaks. The kids were completely entertained with the awesome tree house and the fun ninja warrior course, giving the adults a chance to truly relax. Inside, the cottage was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, and there were tons of games to play, which made our evenings just as fun as our days! The White Oak Cottage truly felt like a home away from home. The hosts thought of every detail, and we are already looking forward to coming back.

Great house, beautiful location on the lake, nice dock for your boat, easy access to 24hr public boat ramp. Will stay here again in the future.

This location was beautiful and convenient for our family’s Thanksgiving celebration. It was easy to get into Jasper for the fun restaurants. In addition, the kitchen worked for preparing our Thanksgiving meal. The beds were comfy. The fireplace was a nice touch! This was our second time at this lovely home. We would come again.

I cannot say enough good things about Kendra and the home we stayed in. It was very clean, and had the best view of Duncan Bridge where we enjoyed watching the firework show on July 4th. It was an impeccable stay at this spectacular home. Thank you, Kendra, for your hospitality and kindness! Your home is absolutely beautiful!
