Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Winneshiek County

This Airbnb was such a peaceful retreat! Tucked away in Iowa but still super easy to get to, it felt like stepping into a cozy country cottage. The setting was quiet and relaxing. Everything was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully decorated—like something out of a storybook. The hosts are always friendly and responsive, and made check-in smooth and simple. It had all the comforts of home, plus that extra countryside charm you just can’t get in the city. Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway or a quiet place to recharge, this spot is a hidden gem. I’d absolutely stay here again!

Jerry's place was great! Very clean and ordered. Check in and out was easy and seamless. Very peaceful and quiet too. perfect distance from town. Far enough away to feel secluded, but also a quick easy drive into town. would stay there again.

Beautiful updated, cozy home. Fantastic kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean. Nice location, very peaceful setting in the woods. Many thoughtful touches that made us feel welcomed. House manager even left a nice note and homemade treat upon arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an exceptional stay at Erin’s house, it was incredibly clean, in a very quiet neighborhood, and fantastic location. We were within an easy and enjoyable bike ride from downtown and even closer to one of the several biking and hiking trails. Our stay in Erin’s house was very comfy and we would highly recommend her house to future travelers!

This place was a beautiful retreat for me and my husband. Lots of kitchen amenities, puzzles and games. The hot tub was wonderful and very well decorated. Light music playing when we checked in. Felt warm and homey! They had everything we needed and then some! Would stay here again!

3 couples came to celebrate birthdays and the TG release! We made such good memories had a wonderful time!

Tammy made us feel right at home. The place was clean, quiet, and just what we were looking for. She was always quick to respond and we loved all of the animals around the property. We would definitely stay again!

We needed to book a place at the last minute because the other airbnb owner where our family had book changed their policy the week of our trip from pet-friendly to NO PETS. We have a puppy and had to either cancel the trip or find another location. Laurie's place is dog-friendly and adorable! It was a lovely place to stay during our annual family trout fishing trip to NE Iowa in the area northeast of Decorah. Laurie and her husband were delightful and friendly. We will definitely come back!

This cozy apartment is right across the road from the Mississippi River, and there's a beautiful view. The kitchen was well equipped, and Paula even left us a couple of homemade cookies! This place was very comfortable, and a good deal compared to many other AirBnbs these days - no cleaning fee! Would love to come back sometime.

Thanks Evan and Kristen! We had a great stay during the Driftless yoga festival. Perfect location by the trail and walking distance to Will Baker Park. We loved having coffee in the back yard with the view of all the trees. Mama deer and fawn spotted on the lane coming back from dinner one night! Overall great stay!

Kaleen’s place is a perfect spot in Decorah. Short walk to downtown and a lovely home to return to. Bonus fire pit and back patio! We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Had a great stay at this place. Bradley was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The place was very nice, clean and comfortable. The couch has a sofa bed, so there is extra sleeping room other than the main bed. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, which was a nice. Location is ideal for Decorah, as several shops, etc. were within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again and recommend checking it out if you are in Decorah.

Decorah High Point Magnolia Cabin was perfect quiet get away for our anniversary! Beautiful cabin, wonderful views and wildlife. Very relaxing!

This a great little cabin! We wanted some privacy rather than staying at the hotel in town and this was perfect! We each had our own space rather than being on top of each other in a hotel. We came to town for a wedding and requested early check in which was granted. Much appreciated! The beds were extremely firm so if you like that then you're good to go!

Staying in this little valley cabin was an amazing experience. It was private (except for a few visits from dogs) and beautiful. The cabin had everything you could imagine needing including a white noise machine, eye mask, robes, shower shoes and so many kitchen gadgets. Suzette came and said hello and introduced us to her pets then we settled in for a secluded stay. The fishing was also great - my husband caught a 13 inch trout which was enough to make him smile all day, and my heart was warmed watching my senior dog and her new preppy friend explore the valley. So great!

The cabin was a great place to stay! Wonderful area, wonderful amenities! I would highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful surroundings and perfect place to stay to enjoy the Fall season in Northeast Iowa! Traci was extremely responsive to messages and welcomed us with a loaf of banana bread! I would give 10 star rating if possible!

Loved the place, we want to live there! Beautiful property super close to yellow river, enough room for multiple vehicles/boat. Very clean inside and it had the little touches like coffee, good smelling soap and blind for the bedrooms. The bath tub is huge too!

We recommend you to book if you are looking for a little relaxing getaway! Very nice and decorated well! Chris was very easy to deal with!
