We had a great stay in Decorah. We went for a run on the Trout Run trail. It was just beautiful, and we were within walking distance to the grocery store and our favorite coffee shop (Impact Coffee). An excellent location and nearby Luthor College to watch the track meet that our daughter was competing in...love this house.

Brent's place is a perfect location to explore Decorah. This is a beautiful 3 bedroom (all queen beds) 2 full bath loft. It has everything you need. It has beautiful furnishings. There was a group of 6 adults and we had more than enough space. When booking please make sure you know it is a loft. There is reserved parking right behind the building which was very nice. We definitely would stay here again. Beautiful showers and kitchen and an extra living-room with TV. Oh and one of our party said to make sure to mention that he would stay again only because of the great sheds!

We loved our stay here! Quiet neighborhood, and close to downtown Decorah for shopping/restaurants/etc. Wish we could have met the chickens but they were at their other home during our stay ;). Would definitely stay again.

My group of 12 had a great time staying at Gabby's place. It was nice to have a dinner table large enough that everyone was able to sit around it. We also loved the bonfire and the hot tub :) Gabby was responsive and communicative. I would stay here again for a large group get together, and would love to stay longer than one night to really enjoy the peace and quiet of the area.

We loved our stay here. It was a beautiful home that was close to the main street and attractions. We were even able to walk to the Rubiyat restaurant and enjoy an evening stroll. The bed was comfortable and the room was perfect for the two of us. Melissa made a delightful breakfast and the most delicious pumpkin scones. My only regret was I didn't stuff more in my pockets. :) Check in was easy and there was no problem getting in. We did end up leaving before breakfast on our last day and hadn't received check out instructions before hand. We sent a text and got a quick response although we had already left. The stay was more expensive than we would normally like to spend, we have stayed at other bed and breakfasts and paid much less. We imagine the prices were inflated because there was an event in town.

The Rustic Acres property is just minutes outside of Decorah tucked away in a heavily wooded area with a small spring waterfall off the upstairs master, a stream winding through the property and impressive rock formations. There is a TV...I'm not sure if it works because I spent all of my time soaking in the beauty and relaxing in from of the wood burning fireplace in the living room. The feel inside is quaint and cozy, but with plenty of floor space and all the amenities for comfortability. I plan on booking again around the same time in Fall next year!

We had a great long weekend at Courtney's cottage. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable! We could walk to most places, which is what we wanted. The private outdoor space was perfect for the evenings, to sit and swing and look at the stars, also very quiet. We are excited to come back and stay! We didn't see everything we wanted to on this visit. We had perfect weather, too, for the end of September.

Barb and Jeff’s home is absolutely stunning. It’s like walking into a better homes and gardens or Martha Stewart magazine. Loved all the attention to detail in the rooms, at breakfast, and the general area. We appreciated access to coffee/tea/hot chocolate and bottled water as well. The grounds are lovely and wish we’d had more time to enjoy the fire pit and gardens! Breakfast was amazing and liked that she even made some things that were native to the area. Fresh herbs in the water and lavender everything 💜 Thank you for restoring this beautiful home, and giving it your whole heart! Loved the lavender to take with (and the seeds). Thanks so much for having us stay!

When you’re ready to leave it all behind, this is truly the place for you! It’s rare to find such secluded beauty with all the creature comforts of home. Deborah makes sure that not a single detail is overlooked so you can totally unwind. Also lovely to take morning walks around the ponds, sit outdoors with friends, and at night, take in the amazing sky! Added bonus (for our group, anyway :) ) were two of the friendliest furry friends you’ll ever meet: Bailey the dog and Fluffy the kitty! Nearby Decorah is only 20 minutes away for great eateries and shopping. Truly a gem—can’t wait to go back!

Liz and Dan are super lovely hosts at this property of truly extreme beauty. As Liz had Covid they upgraded me to their beautiful private 2 bed cabin, built in 1852 by Liz’s ancestors. What a wonderful experience with the wood burning stove, cozy duvet and great book collection. The photo album on the restoring of the cabin is priceless, along with the gorgeous oak spindles on the staircase of the cabin.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Kimball house. It is a very spacious, historic home with several sitting areas and a large, well stocked kitchen. We loved sitting on the big wrap around porch in the evening. Angie is a great host, very responsive and accommodating. The location is perfect, close to campus and baseball fields. This was even better in person than the pictures! The location makes it within walking distance to anything you would want to do. The house has great outside space and plenty of room for everyone inside. The house was extremely clean and well stocked with all necessary items for our stay. We will definitely love to stay here again the next time we are in the area!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cushions Cabins while we were in Fayette this past weekend. The cabin was very clean, nicely decorated and had comfortable beds and furniture.
