Absolutely amazing. Beautiful view of the beach and surrounding area. We got lucky and saw the northern lights! The place was super cozy. Loved the extra effort the hosts put in to make sure we had everything we needed, which included a dog bed, doggy treats and board games. The Christmas tree and bottle of Prosecco were a much appreciated bonus. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

Cantick Head is a very special Airbnb. Alan was helpful, welcoming and a great host. The cottage was amazing and had everything we needed. Well equipped, really comfortable, peaceful with the best views. We loved the hot tub and sat outside for hours watching the sea. Loads to see in the local area and Alan was really helpful in suggesting places to visit and explore. We absolutely loved it, definitely recommend.

Every year we pick a new location in Scotland to celebrate my brother's birthday, and this one was one of our favorites so far. The host left many nice touches around the house, including a bottle of Prosecco, as well as some treats for our dog. The location was perfect for us (30 minutes from the Orkney ferry, walking distance from town center, and near some beautiful locations for short walks). Would definitely book this place again.

Linda’s Place is a lovely former family home in a stunning position on the sea front at Longhope on the island of Hoy. It’s a family home with a very comfy, if somewhat old-fashioned vibe. Don’t expect 5 star accommodation but do expect a warm home well supplied with kitchen equipment and welcoming shortbread (very yummy) and fresh milk in the fridge. There are two boxes of toy,s /games for children of all ages plus a large DVD film collection for showing on the TV , Linda supplies bedding and towels. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. For a rural property the water supply water supply is fab but a tip is to stagger bath/shower times as the hot water sometime can run cool if excessive demand is placed on it. There is a garden with a washing line over the road from the cottage. The next door neighbour is a brilliant neighbour and all locals we met were friendly and very helpful. We two stayed in the first week of August 24 finding the village shop to have comprehensive supply.

House was warm and comfortable, on the edge of the village in a peaceful cul de sac. Easy parking close to the front door. Kevin was easy to contact and helpful when there were problems with finding the location and subsequently when we needed to change our plans.

Lovely cottage in easy reach of local amenities and golf club. We all thought it was great.

We had an amazing time at Hilligoe Cottage. Julie and Phil prepared the home with everything you need for a comfortable stay (we really appreciated the complimentary welcome pack for us and the doggies). The home was spotless, with clear instructions on how to use everything, and Julie and Phil were friendly and responsive to any enquiries. The surroundings are beautiful. If you’re looking for a relaxing experience in a peaceful and picturesque setting, I cannot recommend Hilligoe Cottage highly enough!

Old hall is in a fabulous location with beautiful walks and a lovely, swimmable beach accessible from the door. the house is comfortable, fully equipped, scrupulously clean and Sandra is a very responsive host ☺️ we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. top tip: we did need to use our eye masks as the room is quite light with the early sun.

My colleagues who were staying here passed on their positive feedback and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. It made working away a lot more enjoyable! Thanks again!

Accommodation was as expected having been before. Excellent choice if you are after a peaceful cottage but within a 10 min drive to Wick town. We will return.

What a beautiful location. So peaceful and right next to stunning blue sea and an inquisitive seal. The house is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's got great walks from the door . It isn't far to the shop and is right next to the moving Longhope lifeboat museum.

Overall we had a lovely stay and were very happy with the cottage. We were hugely impressed by the level of cleanliness and the communication from the local contact. The place matched the pictures and we were left wanting for nothing. Would happily stay again as Halkirk was a great peaceful location and the accommodation made our trip 10x more pleasant.

We arrived at The Stables a little early but straight away our host, Ross, made us feel very welcome and at ease. A beautiful welcome tray awaited us and Ross showed us the accommodation, giving clear instructions on how to operate cooking facilities etc. On the first night we had a problem getting signal for the TV but Ross went out of his way to make sure it was fixed and was extremely patient and helpful. My husband and I agreed that we had never slept in such a comfy bed. It was excellent. We were really grateful to both Ross and Robyn for giving us loads of helpful information on things to see and do in the area and they very kindly loaned us books on places of interest to us too. We also really appreciated the accommodation being weĺl stocked with a variety of books and games and pamphlets on the area. We had everything we needed and more and having such friendly and helpful hosts made our stay extra special. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to others.

North Fork Cottage was The best home away from home that I have ever been to. Mr Banks and little dog Coco are a friendly wonderful hosts who meet you at the door and creates a warm welcoming atmosphere. The view from the cottage is beautiful, with the house containing everything we need and Always keeping us warm. We will be back and recommend to everyone xx

Absolutely gorgeous setting, much bigger and more space than expected, great to have a washing machine in middle of our travels. Loved enclosed garden with picnic table overlooking inlet, cliffs and farms. Idyllic spot literally at the end of the road.

Beautiful house with amazing grounds and scenery. We had such a great time, would definitely recommend and hopefully we will be back one day!
