Vacation rentals with a kayak in Whatcom County

I would 1000% stay here again, the home looks exactly like the photos and I loved all the extra things that were great for a family with little kids. There were pack and plays available for our little ones, lots of toys and even a play kitchen downstairs. There were enough towels for our large group, not to mention all the water activities (like paddleboards) in the shed. The backyard were clean and nicely mowed. I loved it! Carlee and Mark were also super fast to respond and friendly.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lake house! The location was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house was spotless, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was definitely the lake access — we spent hours out on the water with the provided kayaks and paddle boards. It was such a fun and memorable experience. The host was also very responsive and helpful throughout. Would absolutely stay here again — highly recommend!

Maisie’s house was a dream. Most comfortable beds/pillows/blankets we’ve ever had at an AirBNB by far. Everything was really clean and tons of games and little details they thought of for kids and families. Beautiful, private location too. Our day-to-day life is very busy, and the house and location helped us deeply relax and unwind for once.

Fantastic space, open and airy, and beautifully appointed. Complete privacy- it feels as though you are in the woods- yet the town is a few blocks away. The hosts were attentive to any questions I had, and were inviting and professional. Highly recommend!

Can't beat the views at Bill's. We had a great time walking at low tide, playing lawn games, kayaking at high tide and enjoying the views. Bill makes sure the house has eveyrthing that's needed for an enjoyable stay and more.

We had a wonderful stay. The house and the area is just gorgeous! Loved the light up stairs, especially helpful for my parents. There was plenty of space for all family members to spread out. We would have liked TVs in the bedrooms, but other than that, we would definitely love to stay here again!

A lovely, cozy yet modern retreat. The space is beautiful, the view swoon worthy, and the best stocked kitchen at an Air B&B! The knives were sharp! The cutting boards were clean! Everything worked perfectly! You can tell this place is well taken care of and a true gem.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer's quaint, characterful, cozy cottage. The location, property, and home were charming, with lovely, mature landscaping, fields of grass, water view framed by trees, and a private little beach. The antique furniture, lace curtains, and multiple vases of fresh-picked flowers and greenery all added romantic touches. The master bed was very comfortable and Jennifer kindly customized the bedding to accommodate our feather allergy. Although the property is a compound with other cottages, the setting was extremely private both indoors and out, on account of the large lot, separate access, and screening of mature trees. The wi-fi was weak, so perhaps not the ideal location for working, but perfect for a romantic getaway!

We had a great stay. Everything was as described and the home was very clean. 5 minute drive into Eastsound and close to tons of hikes and beaches. Already planning our return trip. My dog loved the fenced back yard too! So hard to find a dog friendly airbnb but this was the only one on the island with a fenced yard :)

We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the summer. It was a very comfortable house for our large family. Beautiful area, very easy to find and get back and forth.

This was one of the best Airbnbs I have stayed at over the years! The house is very well stocked with everything you could need for cooking in the kitchen and kayaks/bikes for exploring the area. The views of Mt Baker off the back deck are amazing and the sunset over the San Juan Islands was great too. Beds and bathrooms were clean and comfortable as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location looking out over the marina in West Sound. Close to hiking trails overlooking the islands, easy to get everywhere else on the island.

The place was quiet and clean. The host was very easy to get ahold of with questions, and helpful. Overall great experience we plan to visit again someday.

Kim's place was absolutely stunning—right on the beach! You can’t go wrong with a location like that. The home had everything our crew needed to feel comfortable and at home. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. When we had an issue with the washer, we sent a message, and someone was there within 30 minutes to resolve it. Thank you for providing such a warm and welcoming place for us to stay while we were in town for work!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin by RedAwning. We were a group of 6 girl friends coming together to snowboard for the weekend. The cabin was ideal in the sense that it was easy to find and had a great common area and enough beds for most of us. The kitchen was all appointed with great equipment and we enjoyed cooking mellow dinners together and eating at the large table. We would come back to this cabin with a group this size or smaller.

Such a beautiful and peaceful stay! We were captivated by the property. So spacious and quiet, and had everything we needed. Hosts were very responsive. About an hour from North Cascade park entrance, which we did not mind considering we were coming back to a luxurious and private oasis :) we were luckily to see a bald eagle catching fish right before our eyes! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

We loved our weekend at this home on Orcas. The location was great to wake up to and the home was well stocked and clean when we arrived and had tons of amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

Ben’s a great host. His place is clean and tucked away in the woods. The porch outside is quaint and serene and a great spot to have a coffee in the morning while listening to the sounds of nature. Ben is a nice dude, brought us eggs from his chickens and made sure we have everything we need. I would highly recommend it.

This house was one of my favorite Airbnb’s yet. It easily served our sleeping needs. I liked how there were thermostats in each room, including the bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed and my favorite - they left a welcome basket with sparkling water and wine. The house is situated only 1/2 mile from a great park for hiking, strolling and mountain biking. As for the beautiful Whatcom Lake, there were some stairs to get down to the sitting area where we could watch the mergansers and even a few loons. We didn’t take advantage of the kayaks and canoe, but one of us took a couple of cold plunges (not my thing). We were there in the first of April and the water was still cold! I highly recommend this house and location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was perfectly located for a day trip to Mt. Baker and less than 10 minutes from Silver Lake Park. The drive was beautiful and the cabin was just as pictured.

This house was perfect for a sleepover with some friends! Girls stayed in the back “room” the first night. Close but yet in own space. Second night, it was just my family. It had everything we needed and more. Thoughtful additions like s’mores stuff, extra wood, and painting supplies for rocks! We live only 30 min away so it was the perfect little getaway on the beach. We had a great time and will definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at Dawn’s place. It had everything we needed and the space was super cozy. Internet was fast and reliable, which was important as I worked remotely from the house. Dawn was easy to communicate with. Would come again :).
