Beautiful barn style, accommodates three families easily all with their own bathroom! The line is very luxurious and beds comfy Communication was quick and efficient at very late notice. The place did have a few cobwebs and dust from the road but I think that comes hand and hand with being out in the countryside. Stunning garden outlook to sit and have your morning coffee. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other families or larger groups with all amenities supplied and a short drive to Te Arai beach. Thank you!

Great little stay at the sleep out. Erika was very responsive to our questions. Kids loved being so close to the playground! Perfect for a little adventure.

Unfortunately a cyclone rolled through while I was staying at Vicki‘s place. I got to walk around the first day that I was there and enjoyed the house for an evening, but the power went out so I had to cut my stay short. When I woke up, Vicki had left pancakes and hot water for me to make coffee. She also gave me a refund for my second night. She had gone above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as it could be under the circumstances.

We loved our stay with Kathy and Bryon! The place was lovely, so clean and comfortable and they thought of everything! We especially appreciated the stocked pantry and fridge essentials. The area is beautiful. The beach is so close by and the town was a close drive away. We came with plans to go to the beach, hike, adventure etc but cyclone Tam had other plans. So we instead had the coziest, relaxing time while we hunkered down waiting for the rains and wind to pass. It was honestly just what we needed. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Such a stunning spot. Tea’s place was everything we were hoping for and more. We just loved the vibe of the space for endless rounds of cards and snuggling up at night, listening to the roar of the sea. The perfect spot for connecting with family and faves.

Lorna's bach is a true little gem in a hidden paradise, just a few minutes from the beach, quite spacious, modern apartment with own terrace. it's possible to use the SUP board and paddle over to the beautiful sandspit - a highlight in itself! Lorna is an amazing host, so kind, caring and helpful! Best accommodation i have stayed at in NZ. Highly recommended!

Great, knowledgeable host. pointed us int he right directions for great fishing locations, which was what we were there to do and has the best view. I could almost launch the boat from the deck. A+++

My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay at this beautiful cottage in Whangarei Heads, it was so peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway! Thanks Joan and Adrian for being great hosts, loved the additional touches - welcome beverages and providing dog towels for our pup! :)

We stayed at this beautiful getaway and were able to enjoy a few days of relaxing in a beautiful part of Aotearoa . It was extremely private and secluded, a perfect spot for some peace and quiet whilst still being extremely luxurious and close to Auckland.

Just like it says on the website, close to amenities and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Awesome weekend away! Neil came and met us as we arrived in the rain to make sure we could find our way to the accomodation and had everything we needed. Throughout the stay Ali and Neil went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Tandem kayak was fun to take out at high tide, views were beautiful from the windows in the morning and the short walk down to the local tavern for dinner by the sea was perfect! Thanks again for the surprise 😂. Such a cool spot with heaps to explore and do day trips around Whangarei heads. 100% would recommend!

A peaceful hideaway 5 minutes from Ruakaka beach. I stayed 2 nights while visiting family who live in the area. I loved that my canine child could travel too. The unit is modern and homely, with tasteful beach vibes. The beds and linen so luxurious! I appreciated extra touches like fresh flowers, cereal, yoghurt, milk and the coffee machine. I didn’t meet Paul and Lyndsay as they were away, but communication was excellent and I felt welcomed and taken care of. The views from back of the property are stunning. I watched my dog carefully as beyond the cliff edge is a rather dramatic drop! We loved this home away from home and hope to stay again.

Very peaceful accomodation. Private, surrounded by nature with beatiful views. Clean, fresh facilities. Very good commincation with host. Highly recommended stay! Close to Matapouri, Whale Bay, Whangarei, Tutukaka, Sandy Bay and so on 🙂

If you looking for a cosy, clean and creative cottage that feels like home, Quail cottage is just the best. Lovely neighbourhood: quiet, flat, great for bike riding, easy 5 mim walk to estuary and quick drive into town and beach. lovely home: lots of interesting pieces, books, games, beautiful garden and tramp. Beds are super comfy with lovely crisp, cotton linen and couches huge and just delish to lounge around on. Kitchenette is small but practical and great bathroom with a huge shower perfect for post beach cleaning. Honor was incredible from check in to check out. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Eileen's place is great! We stayed for a couple weeks. Even though it's not a full kitchen it's well equipped for some cooking. The gardens and view are beautiful and the place feels like a home. The food and tea/coffee provided was very generous. It was really lovely chatting with Eileen and we really appreciated her local knowledge. Highly recommend :)

This was our second stay. Our previous stay was about 3 months ago. Would definitely stay here again. Denise and Craig are wonderful friendly people and the home is quite comfortable, peaceful and quiet. My husband visited the sheep every morning and evening. We looked for the rabbits every time we drove the driveway and evening saw them in the backyard a few times.

Was exactly what we needed, it had every thing you needed + lots of lovely unexpected touches. Extremely clean and well maintained, would definitely recommend!

Elaine was so lovely! She gave us recommendations for food! She was so kind with the wood fire she would help us keep it running! Location is absolutely beautiful and will be back :)

Andrea and Sherman were the perfect super hosts we've come across so far. Their house was absolutely beautiful and all furniture and appliances were top quality. Sherman's hospitality especially was beyond what we have experienced anywhere. From the freshly squeezed orange juice that came at a moments notice, to the little treats that came for our daughter. You have an amazing place among the citrus orchard, which is situated literally 100m from the motorway. We will happily give you a 10 stars if we could. We will see you again and see if you managed to land any kingfish :) Take care and thank you for looking after our family
