Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Westmeath

We needed a place to stay that was local to Ballymahon at short notice for a family occasion. Alisha’s home was just the ticket. Very convenient for Ballymahon and for visiting family in Keenagh, the property was absolutely outstanding. The first thing of note was that the photos of the property do not do it justice. The kitchen is open plan and has everything you could possibly need with quality products throughout. The downstairs shower room is beautiful and fantastically appointed. The living room is very cosy with a huge fireplace. There’s also a very interesting history of Barry which is well worth a read. All the bedrooms were very comfortable (beautiful linen) with the ensuite being particularly useful. Plenty of storage too! Finally Alisha’s communication was absolutely first class. From the time that I booked until check out Alisha was always responsive to queries & was proactive about making sure we were ok. All in all I would not hesitate in recommending & would stay again.

we'd a great stay in the cottage. Claire was amazing! so quick to reply and even purchased a new BBQ free I inquired if there was 1!!! now that's service. place looks exactly like the photos. beds were comfy. only noise was the birds and the lambs ☺️. 10 minutes walk to the local pub and shop. 10 minutes in Longford town. thanks again for everything Claire. look forward to visiting again

Just back from a lovely few days at Caroilin"s place. Great location, lovely restaurants within a short distance. very peaceful surroundings. The house is lovely and it was fantastic for us to have the dog with us. Would highly recommend.

Maria’s home was comfortable and spacious and such good value. Everything was exactly as described, the garden was lovely to sit out in and it was only a five minute walk into the village. Maria was incredibly helpful and friendly from when we booked up until we checked out. Would 100% recommend for anyone in a big group.

One of the best places to stay. Arthur was very welcoming and informative and always responsive to queries. The place was spotless and very modern and close to activities and sightseeing.

Linda Is a great host and the home is beautiful in and out . She is a great host who checks in on you and is very helpful and welcoming . Some of my Family was flying in before checking in and she offered they check in early. Linda my family and I thank you for helping make our stay in Ireland so memorable . We would recommend anyone looking for a spacious home in a quite private location to stay here. Thank You Linda!

A really great place to stay. Lots of room inside and a large back patio which was great because the weather was spectacular. It’s very close to all of Athlone’s restaurants and pubs. A large grocery store is a five minute walk. It was nice to have both a washer and a dryer.

Lorna’s place is great value. Not only do you get a great space (living area, bedroom, bathroom, outside, etc) but also a fabulous choice of breakfast items for a cooked brekkie including milk and juice, and no better Irish welcome than the makings of a crisp sambo!! Bottles of water too.

Cozy and peaceful. Perfect for travelling on the road and seeing night sky without city lights. ☺️

We stayed at the apartment for a month and can highly recommend it! Comfortable beds, nice surroundings, well functioning kitchen & bathroom. All in all a great experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed 3 nights at The Stables, Hounslow House. Peaceful & quiet, set in the beautiful Irish countryside. The accommodation was very clean & had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Grainne the host had kindly stocked the fridge with fresh berries, milk, juice, eggs etc., which was much appreciated. The bed was super comfy. We were missing our 2 spaniels so to be greeted by Jack, the resident Springer Spaniel, was special. Very highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at Blaithin's apartment - the central location is superb and the views over the Shannon were fantastic (the great weather also helped!). Would highly recommend it!!

My friends came from Latvia for couple of days to visit and this was an amazing place for them to stay. Gerry is amazing host, always responsive and helpful. Everything is near by, shops, coffee places, restaurants and even cinema. Car parking is available nearby. Place felt like home,warm and cosy 😌✨️Highly recommended 💕

Eileen's place was absolute serenity. Super quiet and a wonderful place to come back to after a busy day out exploring. Only a 10 minute drive into Tullamore, so easy access to shops and restaurants. We found it a great central location to enjoy day trips from. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quiet base.

I had a super great time at Niamh's place!! They were super helpful in getting there and back and were very communicative. The place was super cute and clean, and the pets were adorable and very very sweet. I would totally stay here again and can't recommend it enough!!

Great place, ideal for a couple exploring Athlone and the surrounding areas. The guys were super responsive and all information was to hand. Very cool LED light features and an amazing shower!!

Paula was very friendly and helpful, we had our two dogs on their first trip and it was ideal. Large garden to run around and the walks along the canal were fabulous. Paula left us bread, milk and cereal which was very convenient. There was music upstairs in the bar which was busy but not too noisy.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The place was immaculate, beds were super comfy. Decor in the apartment was gorgeous. Declan and his son were lovely and Most of the local people were really friendly and helpful. Pubs, shop, lovely cafe and takeaway a stones throw away. So perfect spot for a weekend away. Short drive to the Hill of Uisneach, and close enough to Mullingar and Athlone. Thanks for having us Declan. We really enjoyed our stay. Janice & Karen,

Apartment was great ,spacious clean and tidy . The location was great with a lovely bakery close by. Paul was very quick to respond to messages and was very helpful.

We had an amazing stay at Eileen’s place. Would highly recommend! It was absolutely spotless clean with all the amenities you could need! A lovely quiet & peaceful place to relax and unwind! Would definitely stay here again!
