Studio apartment located on forested private property. Quiet and secluded. Only 8 miles from Whitefish. Full kitchen, laundry and full bathroom, queen bed, and private entry and parking. We are in the foothills of the Whitefish Range of the Rocky Mountains with easy access to trails and public lands. Hiking and biking on the world class Whitefish Trail is just up the road. The many lakes close by offer fishing, kayak/canoeing and swimming. Our internet is SLOW and not always reliable.

Welcome to Stoney Lonesome Retreat. Why Stoney Lonesome? Not entirely sure, you can blame it on my great grandfather, old Fredrick Richard August Christian Uhde. He named the property back in 1972 and the name has stuck!!! My parents Elward and Susan purchased our property in the summer of 1969 for $500 and we have been here ever since. My brother and I were raised here and now my wife Gretchen and I are so proud to be raising our son Simon here. The third generation on this land.

The Historic Catholic Mission is just a stone throw to the South. The National Bison Range is just up the hill and to the North.
