Cute clean house. Comfy beds and a clean hot tub. Enjoyed the deer walking around outside. Whitney was extremely nice and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was exceptional and exactly what we were looking for. The breathtaking view of the mountains in the background was truly stunning. The home felt peaceful, warm, and very clean—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was also conveniently located close to the main road. We had everything we needed in this charming, well-equipped home. We’ll definitely be returning!

We stay in many rental houses on our travels. This one was extra special! Loved everything about this house. We enjoyed the hot tub, listening to the birds and exploring the area. Having the office there was such a great bonus. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

A very nice place in a private setting. Had all the essentials. The pool and hot tub were especially nice. Loved the wine at the winery also🍷 Andrea was helpful and responsive with all questions. Highly recommend staying!

Where to begin? This place is simply perfect. It’s you’re your own slice of outdoor heaven. The “cabin” is actually an AMAZING house with rustic siding & woodsy energy. Awesome kitchen, fantastic living room, great bedrooms & the bathroom is more than adequate. Outside is what truly frosts the cake though. Bonfire pit built into a patio with plenty of wood to burn provided. The creek the cabin is on was where we spent our days when we weren’t out hiking or visiting water falls & state parks. You couldn’t design a better set up, clear cool flowing water—perfect depth to put your lawn chairs in, sit in the middle of & relax in the sun! At night we soaked in the hot tub on the deck…also amazing. On an evening walk we were even invited on a tour of another amazing property up the road by Doug, a very kind gentlemen who was out working in his yard. Lastly, we arrived ahead of schedule (miracle) & after messaging our hosts they graciously allowed us to check in early. PERFECT experience! ❤️?

A quirky and fun experience. James home gives you an updated kitchen and bathroom with a quaint old house feel. The beds are comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and the short walk to town. The driveway was steep and we appreciated the ability to park in the lower spot also available. The little details like a HDMI in a basket and all the cleaning supplies was great. Having three small bedrooms for our group at this price was perfect.

My husband and I had a great stay here with our dog. The house was beautiful and very clean and our dog loved the fenced in yard. Dolly had so many recommendations for local restaurants, breweries/wineries, and things to do. You can definitely hear the train going by but it really didn’t bother us at all it’s not loud enough to distract from a conversation or wake you up. Overall we loved staying here and would gladly stay here again if back in the area!

Amazing, immaculate property, peaceful setting, thoughtful hosts! The mountain cottage exceeded our expectations. The home looks exactly like the photos and has all of the amenities. No surprises, no builders grade junky stuff - granite countertops, new appliances, upgraded cabinetry with soft close drawers, large tiled shower with built in bench seat, lighted closets, working blinds, no step access into and through out the home. You walk in to find a welcome basket of water and snacks with a card from hosts. There are books for appliances if needed and a book that provides needed information and options for dining and recreation. Feels private! We had beautiful bird song in the mornings, saw a deer at the end of the driveway and many deer on the roads to the cottage. There is a fishing pond within a half mile and the North fork of the Shenandoah is close by. We enjoyed the peace, nature, cruising Skyline Drive and time with our family. This amazingly cozy farmhouse was just the vibe we were looking for. Beautiful outdoor seating (screened-in porch, deck overlooking the vineyards, and lounge chair by the pool) made it easy to breathe in the fresh air. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was great! The outside deck with Solostove was perfect for the chilly evenings. We enjoyed light snacks and wine at Muse Vineyards, which was lovely and got to meet Sally! We ventured into town for some local eats. Can’t say enough good things about Woodstock Cafe’s breakfast. We enjoyed a sweet treat at Sugar Creek and had a lovely walk down the street at Seven Bends. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, look no further!

Great little spot by Mister Ed’s and within 15 - 20 minutes of Gettysburg. We loved the little creek and how peaceful it was. Thanks!

Thank you for a nice and welcoming stay! The place was clean, well stocked with amenities, and had a great selection of VHS and DVD movies. We watched Jurassic Park on VHS and felt like we were back in the 90's. It was awesome. The property as a whole was very beautiful. We enjoyed hiking through the trails with our dog. Our dog also liked playing with the owner's dog Shadow. We had a great time and would like to come back sometime. Only 15 minute drive to Ohiopyle.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hummingbird Haven! Despite some challenging weather conditions (they were calling for flash flooding on our way in), and the fact that the power went out within just a few minutes of getting there, John & Tracy were both helpful and accommodating. They even offered to bring over additional candles to us if the power didn't come back on quickly enough (but thankfully we DID get power back before dark). Both John & Tracy were super responsive and helpful, which definitely made it easy for us. The place itself is in nice proximity to several local attractions, including Ohiopyle, Nemacolin, Fort Necessity, Braddock's Grave, Mount Washington's Tavern, as well as several restaurants in Connellsville & Farmington, none of which were more than 15-25 minutes away. It is also pretty close to places such as Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob (Frank Lloyd Wright properties). Overall was just a wonderful and relaxing stay! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

We have stayed at this home many times because- a.) They have a fenced-in backyard so it is nice to be able to let out our dogs without worrying about them running away and b.) we love hiking at Lost River State Park which is just a short 12 minute ride to from the house, and c. It is a beautiful quaint home- very peaceful and has all the amenities we need.

You would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. The house was very comfortable and relaxing. When we’re back in the area this will be our go to place.

This place is very quiet and peaceful and the access to the river is wonderful. The porch is great for relaxing! Me and my dogs had a wonderful time. It is not close to just run out for food or things you forgot, but that was what I was looking for. I would definitely stay again! It is obvious that Valerie is doing this because she wants to (not just for the money). She provides plenty of amenities and supplies and thinks about the little things that make a difference. She was also very reasonable and friendly. The cottage is lovely!

Our stay was really great at Michael's home. He was accommodating and flexible when our plans changed and we were so appreciative for your hospitality with our longer stay. Your home very everything we needed and we definitely recommend it for anyone who may be in their area. Thank you again for everything!

We were in town for a wedding and this place was perfect for 5 of us. Everything was exactly as advertised. Would definitely stay there again!!!

This place was a GEM. An absolute gem! Beautifully maintained with thoughtful amenities and proactive instructions... Plus I couldnt believe how storybook and adorable the place was! It was such a highlight that really made our 20th anniversary special. We danced and enjoyed the fire pit, relaxed and felt so at ease for the first time in a lonnnng time. Already talking about booking another weekend in the future so our kids can come too. Its somehow the perfect size for both a family or just a couple kicking back. Don't hestiate, this place is JUST LIKE YOU THINK IT WILL BE!! You won't regret it. Susie & Craig are delightful hosts. Thank you for lending us your Bedford cabin! It was WONDERFUL!

Beautifully private, overlooking the river. Listening to the many different treefrogs at night and seeing the thousands of lightning bugs was the height of relaxing evenings. The house had everything you need, plus. Super comfortable beds. Rachelle was readily available and quickly answered our questions. Was an absolute pleasure to stay for the week and would definitely return for another relaxing stay!

We loved our weekend in Mercersburg! Chip and Angela were terrific to work with. The cottage is adorable and the scenery is gorgeous! We loved the outdoor fireplace and feeding the horses. It was a wonderful weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Bird House + the Hawk Watch! Amazing views and comfortable house!
