Our stay at Tommy and Barbara's home was exactly what we needed! We wanted to take some time out of the city and this was the perfect place for it. We really loved the sauna and pool (even in mid April, the pool was a perfect cold plunge after the sauna) and proximity to nature and trails. From the house - you can walk through the woods into the village and the yard created a beautiful little oasis. We would absolutely recommend this home and hope to stay again in the future!

Truly a beautiful cottage! Had a wonderful stay. Quiet and beautiful area. The deer and geese walked through our "backyard" in the morning. Everything was very neat and clean and more spacious than expected. Harmke gave good tips for the surroundings and was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Our stay with Annemarie was nothing short of amazing. We had the best time at this converted barn . Big enough for 2 people on dead end road with views of the landscape and her horses. We loved every moment of our stay in Edwin's beautiful home! We were arriving earlier than the check in time, and Edwin made sure he was there to personally greet us and let us check in early. He was so friendly and helpful, with lots of lovely recommendations. He also left us enough food in the fridge for a couple of great breakfasts, which was much appreciated after some time travelling, and even some wine and beer for us too! The home was just lovely, beautifully taken care of but with plenty of charm. There was so much room to make ourselves at home, with a big comfy bed, cute little dining area, and the beautiful roof terrace to enjoy. The kitchen had everything we needed, great if you don't want to eat out all the time! We learned that Edwin is an artist and there was lots of his beautiful work displayed in the home which was a really cool touch. We were honoured to be your first Australian guests and we will be back next time we visit - we loved every moment!

We spent a week in Mysigt, the two houses are absolutely fantastic. High-quality furniture, super clean living spaces with loving details. The very well-kept fenced outdoor area is perched with dog and children to simply chill in the garden the day. The Drents Frisian Forest is a 5-minute walk away and an absolutely great forest for walking, climbing and enjoying nature. In 10 minutes you can reach Canada by car, where the Aekingerzand dunes are a true adventure playground. With the dog opposite, there is a dog meadow across the street that is looking for the same in Germany. We will definitely come back to Hogersmilde and definitely in one of Xer's houses! Absolutely great holiday, which I recommend at any time!

We were with four adults for 3 nights on the houseboat of dear Ingrid. It is as shown in the pictures and well decorated. Unfortunately, an oven is missing, but we took a hot air fryer with us for our morning rolls. In the village, there is also a bakery. We were very satisfied and would come back.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely country house. The surrounding area is perfect for walks and exploring nature. The host was absolutely fantastic—super welcoming and helpful. Our son, who is obsessed with motors, was thrilled to sit on one of the bikes—it really made his day! The house is well equipped and felt super cozy, especially in front of the fireplace. It was a bit chilly at night, but that’s to be expected in a countryside house like this. Overall, a great experience and we’d happily come back!

We felt very comfortable in Henk's apartment and were able to relax undisturbed. Groningen was super easy to reach by bus from there. Henk always offered his help, but we didn't need it at all because everything was well described. We slept very well on the mattresses. We can only recommend Henk's apartment.

A few days are allowed to stay in the container cottage in the back of Vera and Remco's garden. It was wonderful. Enjoyed the unloading area/forest a few minutes walk away and a day ice skating in Thialf where we can cycle within 5 minutes. We had read in previous reviews that it could be cold in the winter, but it was fine for us to get and keep warm!

Staying in the artfully furnished little house was a very good experience. Thea and Gerard are great hosts, very friendly and relaxed, and easy to communicate with. The breakfast prepared by Thea was fantastic, the best we've had in a long time. Strongly recommended!

We were working in Groningen for a week and it was a wonderful peaceful place to stay. Watching the barges go silently by right at the end of the garden while your relax after a busy day is extremely peaceful. Very nice walks from the house in several directions and don't miss the vismarkt a block away for and excellent lunch or dinner.

If I could give Anthonie 10 stars, I would. His place was very nice and he was incredibly helpful throughout our whole stay. From communication around our shifting arrival time, to recommendations around town, giving helpful information about the area when my wife hurt her knee, and helping me out quickly when I locked myself out of the apartment thinking it was time to leave for my flight. 11/10 host. Very grateful for all his help and generosity.

We had a lovely time in Groningen in Jolien's great apartment. Everything was the same as described in the listing. We were able to use everything that was available, which made things a lot easier. Located in a quiet area, dining and shopping opportunities are right on site as well as a small park. We borrowed bicycles to get downtown. Jolien was very friendly and gave us valuable tips.
