Kid-friendly vacation rentals in West Rand District Municipality

What a wonderful weekend away we had at Linda and Peter’s place. It had everything we could have wanted. A lovely, easy to work in kitchen. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds were so comfy. The view was wonderful from the stoep. I haven’t seen so many stars in a long time. While our hosts ensured we had everything we needed, they gave us privacy. I have no doubt we will head back there sometime in the new year.

We had a lovely time at Sigrid's place. We did struggle a bit to find it (in the dark), and we were warned about arriving after dark, but still felt that there were some key turns where signage could've been helpful. Apart from that, it is a great place to stay, spacious, neat, clean, and private, in a beautiful natural setting. The fireplace outside is also great. We will go back whenever there is another opportunity.

Ukuthula haven is an absolute gem! The home is beautifully taken care of and has the most serene and peaceful views. My family and I had a wonderful time. We were in need of rest and some peace and quiet and this home offered that and so much more. The home is fully stocked with everything that you'll need. It is quite spacious, allowing each guest to have some quiet time. The patio area and the piano corner were some of our favorites. We traveled with our 1 year old and Hilde and Carol set up our room with a camp cot and an additional bin for nappies. Hilde and Carol were such gracious hosts. They were attentive to all of our needs and went out of their way to ensure that we had a lovely stay. We cannot wait to return😁

This was our 2nd time we've used Leah&AJ's place, previously stayed in 2023. We stayed this time with family visiting from the UK and Sweden, staying twice across a two week period as part of a 60th birthday celebration and family reunion. Lean and AJ were perfect hosts as always, friendly, accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. Would definately recommend and we'll be staying again in the future. Thanks Leah & AJ

Isak's place Exceeded our expectations, definitely worth it, we felt right at home. Nice, clean and quite, we will definitely be coming back.

A group of friends and I stayed at Jackal Hill for a couple days and it was fantastic! We had the whole property to ourselves so it felt very private and we did not have to worry about bothering anyone. Stacey's communication was brilliant - she responded to my messages well in time and was always so friendly. Melody and Joseph were on the property and were ever so helpful. We had to call Melody a bunch of times and she always responded and helped where she could. There were definitively flies, but you just have to keep the place clean of food waste which is what attracts them. Unfortunately, we did have an issue with bats occupying one of the chalets which we subsequently couldn't really use, so don't forget to close your windows before dark. Wonderful place, serene, beautiful, calm long walks, and a fantastic host, agent, and owner!

This is the ultimate place to be. A home,so peaceful, lovely, quite and a perfect family location Mary is theee ultimate host. Very responsive, accommodative, helpful,full of hospitality and lovely. The house is more than what is shown on the pictures. A gem in the heart of Soweto. My family and I had the best festive season ever.

Tebogo’s place was very cutesy! It exceeded my expectations. Check in was seamless and Tebogo’s response time was too good!

Home away from home really.. Kids really enjoyed staying there and its child friendly

It was a modern and spotless place in a very safe, small complex. A very well organized place with comfortable beds. It is in a lovely neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. Wifi was good. Would definitely stay there again.

Phuthi is one of the greatest hosts I've ever had. He was responsive. No time of day was ever an issue with him, when it came to communication. Very friendly individual who was always ready to help. I highly recommend him if you need a place in and around Roodepoort.

My stay was most enjoyable. The apartment was clean and well looked after and the furnishings lovely. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and bathroom facilites a standout....love the shower! The host was extremely quick helpful and responsive to all our requests. The garden, surroundings, swimming pool and outdoor facilities are exceptional. Looks exactly like the photos and true to the description. I can say without any hesitation that we will definitely stay here again. Worth the 5 stars and the money spent.

I had a great stay at Katlego’s, very safe and homely. She’s also a good host, kept me informed of planned maintenance and/or outages.

I booked my daughter at the place for a week it was her 1st stay and she felt relaxed and happy because she was safe. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. I would book the place again and again should a need arise. Thank u Sabelo & Hloniphile, i wish you success in all your endeavors

My Fiancé and I had an amazing stay at Zingisa’s place. The complex is quiet, safe and most of all beautiful. The gym was a bonus and the club house is great if you want to stay within the complex. The shopping centre is really close, with all the vital stores. If you want to go out or do the Rhino park you travel plus/minus 40min. Zingisa was very friendly and prompt with responses. Would recommend her apartment if you enjoy walks, peace and security. 👌🏽👌🏽

My parent's stay at The Oakes was absolute the best. Anya and her husband are fantastic hosts thoughtful, responsive, and clearly puts so much care into creating a warm, welcoming space for their guests. The home itself is stunning-beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and situated in quiet neighborhood, that makes it feel like a true retreat. Every detail, from the cozy linens to the well-equipped kitchen, was perfect. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, stylish getaway!

Throughout my stay, I felt like a princess in a Tower - but the Glam version. Every detail in the little cottage is beautiful, and the personal touch is felt throughout. Jacque is the most gracious host and provided a lot of local information. Having some stables at arrival made it easy the next morning before heading out to explore the surroundings. The place is located in a beautiful neighbourhood which is near lots of shopping and restaurants, as well as hiking and biking trails..or a spa if that is more your thing. I hope to stay here again and can only highly recommend it.

Great Host

My partner and I have been using Airbnb in JHB for the past 2.5 years and this was by far our favourite place. We spent about 5 months there and absolutely loved it. The complex itself is well located, close to shopping malls and very safe. The green area right in front of the apartment is a real blessing and great for spending time outdoors. The neighbours are friendly. The apartment is very spacious and has everything you can think of. Daphne is very kind and super helpful. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back if the opportunity presents itself.
