A fabulous, surprisingly spacious, terraced stone built Cotswolds holiday cottage set in the lovely rural parish of Rodborough. We've been busy with guests since completely refurbishing the cottage in 2011 - exposing beautiful stone walls, opening up the views, letting in more light, installing a wood-burner, and generally introducing modern contemporary comforts we like when we go on holiday. Approached up a quarter mile long driveway, this is the west wing of a large Cotswold farmhouse set in a courtyard within 12 acres of fields and is the most perfect retreat. Where possible a two nights stay over weekend please. The wing has its own private front door and is self contained. It is immaculately clean and has BT broadband wifi. Outside we have an astro tennis court and have an area beside there with chairs and table to sit and relax

Absolutely fantastic host so so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The cottage was gorgeous, every little detail was thought through from umbrellas for the rain to torches. We stayed over Easter weekend and there was little choc eggs hidden around the down stairs super kind. The place couldn’t have been any cleaner. The location is perfect right in the centre of everything and the front is beautiful especially in the spring. Catherine was so friendly from booking and sent over lots of recommendations then once arrived we had a few chats when we bumped into eachother. Will definitely be staying again and can’t recommend enough. Thank you

We had a lovely long weekend in Louisa’s beautiful cottage! Everything was perfect! The cottage was very well fitted out and had an amazing kitchen. The courtyard garden was very peaceful and was a real suntrap. The cottage was a perfect size for two couples and it was great to have two bathrooms. All the furnishings and bedding were high quality and we would recommend the cottage to anyone. It is in easy walking distance of Witney centre and has pubs and restaurants just around the corner. We didn’t want to come home!

Lovely cottage and really worth the stay. It is a classic Cotswold cottage so expect to duck if you are tall and scale steep steps but all part of the charm of it. Nicely decorated and comfy furniture. We didn’t stay in to try the kitchen in fairness as there are lots of nice places to explore nearby. Great bathroom with shower and freestanding bath. Check in and out easy. Would say easier in the daytime if not been before but we managed it in the dark no probs. Enjoy

Stayed here for the weekend of our Wedding which was local. Absolutely wonderful location, lovely cottage, with a perfect Cotswold country feel. Really clean and well supplied amenities. Quite tricky to find but owners were so lovely and extremely helpful with communication and directions. Couldn’t fault our experience!

Very comfortable, clean and well provisioned cottage. We enjoyed our stay. Southrop is in a very peaceful corner of the Cotswolds. We enjoyed the Swan pub, local walks, Kelmscott and Chedworth. It's maybe worth knowing that there is a cottage right next door so you may see and hear people right by the windows that run along the back of the cottage and the Gardener has a base in the garage right outside the cottage doors which led to a lot of machine noise and dog barking on a couple of days - though this may have just been bad luck! The weekend was very quiet. Overall, it didn't detract from a very nice stay but I didn't quite realise from the house description.

We had a wonderful stay in David’s cottage. The house itself is full of character, history and so nicely renovated. It’s spacious, comfortable and everything works very well. The kitchen has all you need to cook for a few days. There are helpful signs to help you navigate amenities and practicalities around the house. It’s a really relaxing neighborhood; quiet and private (despite being in a popular touristic area). The beds were very comfy too. Communication was very straightforward. We’ve already recommended David’s cottage to several friends, and hope to come back ourselves. My 80+ old parents found the place perfectly adjusted to their needs too. So only positive feedback.

Katys home was for us perfect. We were 6 adults. 4 in their 50/60s and 2 in their late 20s. Katy leaves some basic supplies which is much appreciated given the location- milk , coffee pods, tea, biscuits, oil, herbs . The home is well equipped with great thought for safety and comfort and was lovely and warm on arrival in the cold temps. Firewood inside and the fire set to light. It was all very welcoming. It is a peaceful village, which some may find too peaceful if you want to walk to shops etc, but for us, after visits to local busier towns and Diddly Squat shop, The Farmers Dog etc it is sooo nice to return to. The walk to Lower Slaughter is about 20 mins and you come across locals with their dogs etc and horses so its very nice and friendly. The Lower Slaughter country inn was an easy pub dinner by the fire, otherwise we cooked at home and sat around the table. A car park is also and added bonus! Would highly recommend.
