Originally, we ran sheep and fat lambs, now run Angus cattle. There are two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, woodheater, Wifi, new TCL TV,outdoor bath. The property was lovely and we felt so welcomed to wander the property and take in the lovely environment. You have done a great job in providing a comfortable home away from home. We had the most wonderful stay at LiQin and Wal’s beautiful home in Jumbuk. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly warm, welcoming, and hospitable — making us feel more like family than guests. Their home is immaculately maintained, with breathtaking views that brought an instant sense of peace and serenity. A special highlight was spending time with their beautiful farm animals and pets — including their friendly dog Indie and their charming cats Garfield and Yoyo, who made the experience even more heartwarming. To top it all off, LiQin and Wal generously shared their time and delicious home-cooked meals with us — a gesture that truly made us feel cared for. We felt so blessed to have visited and would certainly boomerang back to this incredibly serene home again. Thank you again, LiQin and Wal — your kindness and hospitality will stay with us always!

incredible stay at the cabins. Sandi was a lovely host you gave us eggs from her own chickens and over Easter left us a basket of Easter eggs. Cabin was cosy, with everything needed to stay! I would note the bedrooms are lacking Power Points for phone charging at night. so would recommend an extension cord or power board for charging phones. the outdoors area has been so lovingly created and maintained with paths, gardens and sculptures around the place. highly recommend and will be back!

The thing is I didn’t actually get to stay there. Louise had messaged me (but I was on route and didn’t see it) that the power was out, no internet etc after the huge storm of a day or so earlier. I could still stay but it wouldn’t be the normal experience. They made me very welcome, I had a lovely cup of tea in front of the fire looking down the valley at the view, but ultimately decided to find a place for the night that had power etc. Thank you for your kind welcome anyway.

Steph & Justin were wonderful hosts, always helpful. It was a very welcoming environment with members and other guests to get to know. We were pleasantly surprised with offerings for breakfast, tea, coffee and milk supplied. There is a pod machine for coffee, so bring pods. It is very clean & well maintained. The club is easy walking distance from the central Buller Village and short walk to bus stop 6 if you have all your ski gear. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Fabulous getaway, especially if you want to get-away-from-it-all. TOTAL serenity! But with all the mod. cons as well. So long as you can cope with an off-grid, low-efficiency, completely solar-generated power supply, you'll be fine. Yu-Hong was very communicative too. She left nothing to chance.

Val and Andy's listing is most definitely a hidden gem. Not only do they supply a variety of different foods and snacks to enjoy at your leisure, but they also offer electrical appliances and entertainment. Both Val and Andy are extremely responsive and were also delightful to chat with. Will definitely book again if I stay down that way again!
