Farmstay Cottage Lovely Historic Farm pet friendly

2022. Our renovated 1970s Balgonie Cottage situated on our 316 acre farm . It is semi detached. (Homestead and working shearing shed built in 1874). Originally, we ran sheep and fat lambs, now run Angus cattle. There are two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, woodheater, Wifi, new TCL TV,outdoor bath. Avail single foldup bed, portacot, highchair, baby bath, change mat. Lovely walks on farm or along tree lined Balgonie Lane. Tea, coffee, milk, breakfast provided, all linen, firewood supplied.

Our renovated barn has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living & dining. The kitchen comes with essentials such as 2 burner induction stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher (but no oven). Sit and relax under the covered deck & enjoy the sounds of tarra river whilst cooking up a bbq. I've always wanted to try a "Tiny Home" accommodation in a beautiful location such as this property. It did not disappoint. Arrived late but the amenities made us feel at home right away. We were even able to squeeze in some outdoor steaks grilling because of the convenient and easy to use BBQ grill. 4am checkout and departure from the property because of schedules... no problem. That convenience and flexibility. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay. Peter was responsive to any messages & friendly, he did everything he could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed waking up & saying hello to the cows every morning. The house was lovely & welcoming inside. Beds were comfortable & warm. We got to have grapefruit off the tree for breakfast & lemons in our drinks. Very peaceful location. We ate out in nearby Lindenow & Bairnsdale. We were able to do sightseeing at Lakes Entrance, Buchan and Murray River National Park. We would definitely come back.

WOW a little slice of paradise. Had 4 nights here – a magical place with the most amazing views, sunrises, loads of birdlife and other furry friends visiting and the beautiful cows just topped it off. Both inside/outdoor fires were perfect! Off grid didn’t impact – had great phone reception. Gorgeous cottage furnished beautifully with comfy beds, hot shower, kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Melissa is one of the best AirBnb hostesses we’ve experienced – from the moment we booked to the end. We had a situation with our car and she immediately put our minds at rest and ensured our stay was not compromised – was so helpful in every way going above and beyond what she needed to. Loved exploring the beautiful property and area – had lovely lunches at Tinamba Hotel and Glenmaggie Winery. Heyfield IGA close by and well stocked. A perfect Autumn getaway and can’t wait to experience Winter, Spring & Summer here too❤️ Highly recommend!

Fabulous getaway, especially if you want to get-away-from-it-all. TOTAL serenity! But with all the mod. cons as well. So long as you can cope with an off-grid, low-efficiency, completely solar-generated power supply, you'll be fine. Yu-Hong was very communicative too. She left nothing to chance.

We feel so lucky to have found this place. A gorgeous farm with so much to explore. Many tracks, hills, creaks, trees... could've honestly spent an entire day here and not gotten bored. Unfortunately, we had to head out during the day to see other things on our holiday. But hopefully we'll get to stay here again in the future and enjoy more downtime on the farm. Loved Bonnie the dog, the geese, having sheep just roam about. And the way the farm is situated, in between hills, meant that golden hour just made the place so magical, the way the light hit everything. And Bob was a fantastic host. Came and said hi, gave some local recommendations, but otherwise left us to our own devices. The neighbour was lovely as well. We went up hoping to do some horse-riding, but unfortunately, she no longer offers this. Still lovely to chat to her though. Words and photos don't do this place justice - you must experience it for yourself! Thanks, Bob.

The Tank was an absolute dream from the moment we arrived. Enjoying a fire under the stars, listening to nature and then waking up to the sunrise over the water, right from the one of the most comfortable bed. The kitchen was very well-equipped, and the bathroom was perfect – clean, modern and even a washing machine. We left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!
