From the moment I arrived, I felt a deep sense of peace—it’s incredibly tranquil, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, with a running stream just steps from the front door. The home itself strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. Inside, the decor is thoughtful and unique: a nostalgic mix of vintage childhood sports photos, striking modern art, and beautiful antiques. It all blends together to create a space that feels both stylish and deeply personal. The fireplace is a centerpiece—warm, inviting, and stocked with enough firewood to last all summer. This isn’t just a house—it’s a welcoming home. You can feel the care and intention behind every detail. Located just 15 minutes from Bethel Woods, it’s the ideal escape from NYC. I can’t wait to return.

Adriana is a great host. First and foremost she wanted to make sure we were settled comfortably! The place is beautiful. It is playfully appointed with signage and artwork. It’s close to everything. We were particularly interested in hiking so we went to Promised Land State Park which had plenty of trails with beautiful views. Excellent bakery near by as well as an authentic Polish restaurant which we enjoyed. I would recommend this little abode of love to anyone.

We stayed at Brain's home on Memorial Day Weekend - great stay overall! Beautiful property in a quiet and serene lake community. The house and outdoor areas could have used a little sprucing before our arrival, but we were likely the first guests of the season and only booked one day in advance. The house can use a few homey touches (sharper knives, more practical shower curtains), but you cannot beat the location or proximity to the lake. The views are breathtaking and the sounds of nature made it so easy to disconnect. Brian is correct that the pictures do not do this place justice and the price is worth the location if you're looking for a getaway.

Lauren and Ryan's House was great! A perfect home for our family of four. The train themed bunk beds, darts and shuffleboard, fireplaces, and record player, were all hits. Lauren quickly responded to a few of our questions and made it clear that our comfort was her top priority. If you are looking for a clean, comfy, cozy and safe place by a lake, I highly recommend the Green Light Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely book again!

Jason’s property was very comfortable and peaceful, my group and I enjoyed our stay in his nice cozy home. Jason and his team was also very responsive and helpful with any questions and concerns we had. Would definitely book with him again.

Tember and Heather are wonderful hosts and their stay is lovely. Our large family gathering had plenty of space for everyone! The rooms were clean and comfortable and everything we needed was supplied — including firewood! They were quick to respond to any need or request we had. We are so grateful for the extra accommodations they allowed and should we ever gather again in the area we will definitely return!!

We had a great stay. No issues at all. We were in town for a family wedding and the inn where our family was staying was full, so we looked for something nearby, so I could help my 90+ year old parents get around, etc. We were within walking distance of them, so it worked out perfectly. Nice clean apartment. Everything seemed fairly new. Nice breakfast, the one day we ate there. We never saw any other guests, be we were busy and only really there to sleep. It's on kind of a busy road, but we were in the upper house, so didn't experience any street noise. Sweet place. I would definitely book again.

The stay was wonderful and very picturesque. John was very communicative and provided great recommendations around the place. The highlight of the stay was definitely the three barn cats who guided us to the front door and were really friendly and a delight to be around. The area around the house is really serene and peaceful and was great to walk around. Would 100% recommend this stay!

Great location to enjoy Honesdale and nearby sites and towns. An easy walk to all of the local shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay!

We were 3 hours from home for a friend’s wedding and needed a place for 1 night to sleep and get ready for the wedding. The basket of snacks and hot beverages were nice. Everything was clean and no odors remained from previous guests. It was raining and wet so we weren’t able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor area but it looked very inviting. The shopping center across the street was convenient if we had needed anything. My only suggestion would be to have bottled water or filtered water in the fridge. For what we needed it was great.

Had a fantastic time with my boyfriend at Elwira's place! We had to cut our trip short but the time we did spend there was awesome. Elwira was very friendly and it was the perfect location, close to all our favorite spots.

Anthony's place was exactly as advertised, and it was clean and bright. The apartment was fully stocked with everything I needed, it was comfortable, and I felt completely safe there. I would rent it again should I need to stay in the Hawley area, and I would recommend the space to others.

Jackie was very friendly and accommodating. Her place is cozy and quirky. We enjoyed looking at all the pieces in the apartment. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfy. It was a short visit but would definitely come back to stay and explore more of the surrounding area. It’s also very convenient that it is located above a coffee shop with fresh pastries!
