My daughter and I loved France's place. It was perfect for the two of us. It had everything we needed and more. Frances is so thoughtful. I loved the flowers, the dressing gowns, scissors in the draw, the torch, the candle, and especially the verandah. Such a cool place to chill and unwind and take in the beautiful surroundings and smells. We loved the location, it was easy to get to. We had a great time and would definitely stay again. We loved all your suggestions on places to visit and things to do. Thank you Frances for being such a great host.

The Love Shack was such a character filled space. Everything you needed was thoughtfully supplied. It was a unique shed , filled with interesting furniture and surprisingly spacious. Much better than a cookie cutter hotel room. We enjoyed our short stay and we’re able to walk down to the North Beach within minutes. Cathy welcomed us and made us feel at home. Would definitely stay again

Our stay at Yvette’s place exceeded expectations. As a dog friendly home I expected to detect dogginess but there was none. Our doggies didn’t detect it either. The beds and couch (and hammock!)) were all super comfy and inviting. The view was spectacular. Wifi worked well, washing machine great, clothesline big and under cover with pegs provided. For the doggies, there is a fully fenced backyard which kept our two girls very happy and safe. Check in was easy with the keypad. There were clear instructions on everything we needed, and Yvette was flexible with check out time which was greatly appreciated. The overall vibe was relaxed, peaceful and inviting! I recommend both Earthbound Bowra and Wharf St Cafe for brunch!

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

From start to finish I just LOVED this place! Michelle was extremely friendly and responsive, the decorating she has done is nothing short of impressive. I wish I had of stayed longer, her welcoming of dogs is second to none. Thanks Michelle for providing such a great/cosy half way stop on our trip🤩💕🐾

My friends and I had a beautiful stay. The views are amazing and the whole house very comfortable. We enjoyed the deck and living areas. The place has lots of comfortable spaces to spend a weekend with friends or family. We will definitely choose it again!

Kris and Vashy are by far the most hospitable hosts I’ve ever met! Their thoughtfulness was evident in every detail - from fresh milk, butter, and croissants in the fridge to drinks and snacks in the pantry, plus bathroom essentials and extra towels. Staying with them truly felt like being with family. Kris went above and beyond, generously offering to wash our OzTag uniforms two nights in a row and allowing us a late checkout so we could freshen up after our games before the long drive home. Their kindness and generosity truly made our stay comfortable and unforgettable. We left feeling so well cared for and can’t wait to return! Thanks again Kris and Vashy!

Very comfy and cosy studio in a quiet and private space. The studio was spotless and had plenty of space with good wifi. The little kitchenette is small, but there is a microwave, kettle, toaster, mini oven with two stove burners, electric fry pan and everything you would need for basic meals, as well as a very nice and large BBQ as well (I didn't use the BBQ myself but nice to know the option was there). There are also plenty of excellent options for eating out close by. Flynn's beach is my favourite beach in Port Macquarie and it is nice and close to this beautiful area of Port Macquarie. Its a quiet street so I was always able to park right out the front of the house too. Thank you Amanda for a great stay!

My partner, our dog, and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at The Hut. We’ve stayed in a few different places during this road trip, and this was by far the most memorable. The atmosphere was peaceful, private, and down to earth—just what we were looking for. We especially loved the fireplace, gas stove, outdoor shower and bath. The interiors are rustic yet stylish, with a worldly charm that felt both cosy and considered. The bed was huge, and we really appreciated the soft sheets and warm blankets. The property itself is compact but well designed, with a wraparound deck, a rustic timber outdoor dining table, two BBQs, and a fire pit tucked behind the house. We were surrounded by eucalyptus trees, birds, and the occasional marsupial—an experience that felt truly immersive and private. It got dark early, and while we used just about every light available, we enjoy a dim, ambient setting, so it suited us perfectly. Our stay was incredibly relaxing and inspiring.

We would definitely stay here again! Stunning location with room to breathe. Everything has been thought out so well, there are so many tiny details that made our stay comfortable. Absolutely loved this cozy little cabin near Emerald Beach! It’s got everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay — air con, internet, a TV for when you just want to chill, and even a fully equipped kitchen to whip up a quick meal. It’s super close to Look At Me Now Headland, which is perfect for a morning walk or sunset view. The whole vibe of the place is peaceful and homely, and I genuinely love it. Would definitely come back again!

I didn't have a car and I needed to be close to the Aanuka Beach Resort where my mother, whom I care for, was holidaying with her sisters. It was just 8 minutes away. Lots of lovely walks along the coast and, since it was raining, the Netflix access was particularly appreciated. It was only a 20 minute walk to the shopping centre but that was over a hill. It kept me fit. If you had a car it would be perfect. Close to everything but not too close. The place was quiet and the bed was supremely comfortable. I loved the bathroom with no steps into the shower. Having some cooking facilities was also wonderful. It had everything I needed.

Gail’s place is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. We only stayed one night but I felt relaxed while I was there. Gail was lovely, and made us a fresh loaf of delicious bread ready when we arrived. Love the area and quaint country town.

A lovely retro inspired tiny home in tranquil setting and only 5 mins drive to town and 10 mins drive to the beach. Shopping centre, resturants etc all easily accessible within a 10 min drive. A lovely outdoor entertaining area with BBQ and firepit. A great weekend getaway for a couple who prefer to eat out and not have to cook!

Only hiccup was WiFi details online and in the app are incorrect. Information guide inside the house had correct info. Overall, great stay and we recommend!

Thank you Ned and Simone for your lovely hospitality. You have a beautiful place that fit us all perfectly and the view is absolutely stunning. Whilst we only visited for a long weekend, the unit and location had all you need for a longer term stay. The onsite pool and beach access was great, plus we enjoyed that Sapphire Beach was only a short drive away. Such a gem of a spot was only made better by the thoughtful hosts. You were responsive and friendly, gave great instructions, and seem like lovely people. Thanks for having us in your home.

It was a clean fenced property, brought my 3 yr old covoodle puppy for his very 1st getaway. he loved the front yard to play. Wish there was outdoor chairs or bench to sit n enjoy the front yard. There is a beautiful small BBQ area at the back but felt really warm to sit there. also recommend a quieter ac unit for the rooms. enjoyed the free games/cards n kitchen necessities . will recommend.

We had a truly lovely time in this quiet and beautiful location. The surroundings were stunning, and it had everything we needed. Given that it was Christmas, it was a very thoughtful gesture from Karen to provide a Christmas tree and festive decorations, as we didn’t have room to bring our own. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials for cooking our meals, plus many thoughtful touches that made us feel completely at home.
