Family-friendly vacation rentals in Watamu

We had a wonderfull stay in Ritchie's House. The house itself is wonderful, has a very beautiful garden and access to the beach. The service was excellent, and the chef was very professional and good as well. In short: we had an excellent stay at Ritchie's House. On top of that, all communication with Vivienne went extremely smooth. We felt warmly welcomed, even long before we even arrived. Vivienne is very responsive, and helped us with restaurant recommendations as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Graham's property. The space was exactly as described, clean, and comfortable. The host was very accommodating, providing clear instructions and quick communication throughout my stay. The location was ideal, offering both convenience and tranquility. Thank you for providing such a great place to stay!

Daniele's place was a wonderful and memorable experience for us. The staff members are super friendly, thumbs up to the security guard ;Tete and Michael. The cleaners Jacky and Amina, they are very friendly and helpful. Daniele's place was very clean and free of clutter. Many places to have activities and are all so close to each other. We will definitely come.

Absolutely fabulous place. I would highly recommend it. Rachel had clear instructions and was always available to help. The place was clean and has everything you need. There is so much to do in the area, Malindi is a lovely place to visit. Musa was very helpful and showed us around making sure we got everything we needed. Thank you for having us.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Elena House. Kevin was super helpful, easy to contact and very quick in his responses. He also had plenty of very helpful tips about the area, things to do, contacts etc. The house and the pool were wonderful. Perfect for a big group and ac in every bedroom. The staff were extremely friendly and assisted us with everything we needed. The beach is just a short walk away and there are lovely restaurants a TukTuk trip down the road. We also recommend a boat tour to the beautiful sand islands. Highly recommended place!

We loved our stay here so much. The view was stunning, and the layout really lovely. There was only 4 of us staying and it was perfect for that number. Watamu is hot, very hot, but there was an incredible breeze off the sea, fantastic pool that was cool but not cold, and the fans above the beds were perfect for keeping us cool at night. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Chef Funds food was delicious, and highly recommend his white or red snapper, chicken or beef. Joyce was polite, discreet and very helpful. She even washed our clothes for us. Can not recommend more. Hopefully will be back.

We had a very nice stay at "the African Dream"! The hosts enabled us to buy local fruit, veggies directly from the next village and even ordered a fish that was just brought from the ocean. They cooked amazing BBQ-fish for us and tought us a lot about Kenya, the coast and Kenyan food. We definitely enjoyed our stay! But you need to have a car, the beach is 1km away and beside the small local vendors, the next supermarket is to be found in Malindi, which is ca. 20mins away by car.

Really, really close to the best part of Watamu beach. Can't beat the location. It is adjacent to a hotel so you can also take advantage of what they have to offer.

We had a fantastic time at Thomas's place. Communication prior to the visit was great, she ensured everything was set before our arrival. The staff, what amazing souls! They took really good care of us during our stay. The house is well maintained, from the rooms and out on the pool you can seethe ocean, such a magnificent view. The beach is about 5 minutes walk from the house, I loved this section of the beach as we were all alone. It really is a great place for one to just get away and relax.

The house is very comfortable in the middle of a haven of greenery, embellished with a magnificent pool with impeccable cleanliness. The resting areas are many and the furniture, chosen with taste, is very cozy. You just have to cross the road and walk a hundred meters to the beach. Samuel, a very versatile man, makes the stay easy.

Donatella's place was beautiful, clean, and spacious. She even had complementary Kenyan coffee, tea, and sugar. She had salt also. Amazing. Donatella was just a phone call away for anything we had a question about. Thankyou Donatella. Shalom

We found this house very comfortable for our family of 4, with a pool perfect for kids and a beautiful beach a 10-minute walk away (maybe 15 with small ones). The A/C in the rooms worked great and Juma the caretaker was very helpful. We would happily come back.

The villa is not just stunning, it’s a full experience. Think whitewashed walls, swaying palm trees, and a view that melts all your stress away. Chef Joshua. His meals were a whole experience fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. If you’re looking for a place that gives you both relaxation and elegance,with food that deserves its own spotlight, Casa Corra Villa is it. Already planning on going back.

We spent a wonderful family holidays at Federica’s, her apartment was very well located, clean and functional. The staff very welcoming, we had a great time and will stay again for sure!

This cottage was the nicest place we stayed in during our 5-week Kenya vacation. And in its entirety, also the most beautiful I have ever been able to stay in on my travels. The entire complex is spacious and very tastefully landscaped. This results in a pleasant climate, even if it is usually very hot in Watamu. And there are plenty of cozy seating and reclining options. The staff is super. Overall, it is even more beautiful than the pictures, because the flair just fits. Unfortunately, due to a double booking, we received a different place to stay and this was right next to the parking lots. Some tuk-tuk drivers like to leave the engine running longer than necessary - and so there were occasional odor and noise nuisances. Overall, however, this is negligible and we felt super comfortable and would check in there again at any time. The local diving school is also highly recommended - competent and friendly and the underwater world fantastic. Asante Sana

Very cut and comfortable little place, with living room, two large bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and lovely outside patio area. It's close to a beach but not one for swimming - though good for long walks. It's very close to town centre.

Fantastic! We stayed in the safari tents and they were perfect. Right by the ocean and best place to swim in Watamu and in the forest with great shaded nooks to relax and explore. Highly recommend.

It‘s a really wonderful place to stay. The site is mind blowing, the employees always available and very friendly. And there is a great chef named Anderson cooking wonderful meals upon demand at a very fair price. I‘ll come back !!

This is the review for my extended stay and worth saying again how much we enjoyed staying at Debora's place. The location, the view, the pool, the staff was all amazing. I hope I'll be able to be back again. Thank you again!
