We had such a great stay at Doug’s! It was our first bigger trip with our infant and it was so helpful to have such a comfortable and clean place to stay. Doug was always responsive and helpful and we definitely plan on coming back. Highly recommend!!

I hate to write a great review for fear of other people finding out about Barry's place, especially on the weekend I may need for the future. This is my 2nd year staying at Barry and Shani's location. As soon as I registered this year's Dam Yeti race I immediately put in the reservation. Barry recognized me by asking if I was in town for another race! We had messaged back and forth a couple times prior to check in as I wasn't sure if my friend was coming along (she did!). The apartment is one of three in the same building. It's cute, quiet and well appointed. He set up a coffee bar for us and left ample snacks plus some additional ones which were perfect for race day. He had a lovely note for me and mentioned there was fresh watermelon in the fridge!!! What a delish treat. we were close enough to town but needed a car to drive. Everything was 5ish mins away. great restaurants are in town, close to the Food City. one of the best Hosts!!! EVER!!

The place was perfectly located within 20 minutes of every hike and show you can imagine and only an hour away from Mount Rogers after a 15 mile hike to come home and do my laundry and yeah, it was just great great place a lot of privacy. Would definitely come back.

This was an experience, and a truly great one. As someone who has been to southwest Virginia many times, Christine showcased the best of Appalachia through how incredibly friendly and helpful attitude to her charming tiny home outfitted with local treats. The driveway climb is worth it as you are greeted by cows and beautiful landscapes. The tiny home is adorable and perfect for small families or couples. It was clean, well stocked for all needs throughout our stay, and showed the beauty of the blue ridge mountains outside every window. We will definitely be returning and recommend you check it out as well.
