Updated country home located one mile north of Afton Alps ski hill and golf course. We are across the road from Afton State park with miles of walking trails and the St. Croix River. Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The deck and boat dock with bench made for a very peaceful place to relax and unwind. Beautiful view of Forest Lake bay from all rooms. Bathroom is very nicely appointed. Nice living and dining space. The kitchen includes a toaster oven, mini fridge, microwave and Kuerig, so depending on what you want to prepare might be a little minimalist, but worked for us. Much more than you’d expect at an hotel for about the same price. Overall a terrific stay.

The Stillwater Chateau is an outstanding place to stay if you love nature, wildlife, peace and comfort. The surroundings are beautiful, and the house is very comfortable. It has everything you could possibly need including a well-stocked kitchen and extra toiletries. The set up is great for families coming together to share time together. Large, open floor plan with a stunning view of the lake and surrounding wooded area. You feel like you are in a secluded spot but are within minutes of major shopping. We would definitely come back to the Stillwater Chateau.

This was my second stay with Sheri. The cozy cottage is great. I stayed there alone but had family visiting every day and occasionally someone would stay overnight upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped for home cooked meals. The furnishings are comfortable. The location provides easy access to the lake, walking trails, and the amenities of downtown White Bear.

We felt right at home in this beautiful cozy one level living home. We had experienced a tragedy at our home and were displaced for several months here. We loved this place soooo much it was so hard to go back home and leave here. Great hosts!!!! Super accommodating!!!! Loved every single thing about this place!!! Super friendly neighbors too! We cannot thank them enough for such a warm cozy home with an awesome fireplace! The decks were awesome and the fire pit was very well used by us!! We highly recommend this home to anyone in the area looking for a wonderful place to stay!! Our dog loved chasing the squirrels! Lots of wildlife out there to see. It was the best stay weve had!!! Love the handicap accessible home as a family member of ours was injured at a tragic event that happened at our home and he was able to recover here very well with the roll in shower and wide doorways. Everything here was absolutely perfect!!! Thank you for memories we will never forget here! Loved every day
