Most walkable + safe residential locations in DC: one block from the W.E. Convention Center, less than 10 10-minute walk to the Cap. Arena, and a 20-minute walk to the National Mall with its lovely Smithsonian Museums, White House, Chinatown, with some of the city's best dining and nightlife a stone's throw away. The area is well-lit, safe, and relatively quiet. The Washington Convention Center is within walking distance, and you can easily reach the Capitol, the White House, and many museums. Public transportation also offers convenient access to trains, buses, and planes.
