An absolute gem - peaceful remote location on a farm. Really homely with everything you could need - well equipped kitchen, lots of books, games, puzzles etc - super warm and cosy too. There is a lovely balcony where we were lucky enough to have perfect conditions for star gazing in the evening, whilst listening to owls hooting around us. Antonia and her mum & dad were really friendly, sharing local knowledge and best places to go. Check in / check out was easy and relaxed with great instructions provided. Plenty of parking close by. Approximately 20 mins from Brecon where there are supermarkets and takeaways/ restaurants. Approx 40 mins to start Penny-Fann horseshoe walk. Thankyou Antonia for making us feel so welcome 😊

Just back from a beautiful weekend at the Pavillion. The place was amazing, with fantastic views, very peaceful. The sauna and outdoor pool added to the experience. Ruth greeted us on arrival and was happy to show us around. Ruth supplies all the information needed for the stay well in advance and was available over the weekend if we needed anything (we didn't)

Camp Hillcrest, flat,

ElizabethRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in the flat. It was so relaxing and easy going and there was so much to keep two boys and two dogs occupied when we weren’t out walking. There’s a really nice walk down to the river from the house and it’s a short distance from many other hiking sites. The kids loved the trampoline, skate park, and tree net and our city dogs enjoyed meeting all the farm animals and resident dogs. We felt so much at home there and no one was ready to leave!

Cuckoo Cabin, Tyn Y Cwm

ChelseaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What can I say - absolutely perfect! David was the best host we’ve ever had, so friendly and always there if you needed - made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The cuckoo cabin was a dream, we wanted peace and quiet and that’s what we got - in the middle of nowhere and the perfect place to relax! we took our dog bear and he loved meeting David’s dogs - poppy & Isla who are just gorgeous, so friendly and we loved having them around us. The place is spotless and has everything you need, the fire was the perfect bonus having it on made the place feel 10x more cosy if that’s even possible. The noise of the stream was so relaxing and one of my favourite things there, I could listen to it forever & the bed, WOW! So comfy we didn’t want to get out in the mornings, everything was perfect I can’t say enough about it. We can’t wait to come back & our planning our next visit! Thanks again David!

Snoozy Bear Cabin- amazing walk to the beach!

JenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Snoozy Bear Cabin exceeded expectations. I deliberated for a long time before booking and what convinced me was that there was not one bad review. When I arrived I understood why. The cabin was spotless, warm, uncluttered yet bursting with character, with reclaimed objects, welsh wool furnishings, bears and binoculars. It felt as though each piece inside & out had been chosen with care and consideration from the books on the shelf to the soft cotton bed sheets. The woodland setting, a short strole from the beach, cannot be beaten and neither can the cabin. I cannot recommend enough!

Wye Valley Escapes Log Cabin

MartinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We spent a fabulous Easter bank holiday weekend at Katie’s place and absolutely loved it. The cabin itself is excellently designed in terms of layout, so whilst compact it had pretty much everything we needed and the four of us (incl our two university age ā€˜big kids’) didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. We absolutely loved the hot tub and made the most of it (sorry Katie if we got through a lot of logs!). Thoroughly recommend the walk through the really atmospheric woods (via the footpath that leads from the bottom of the garden) to Penallt Old Church and the further on down the hill to The Boat Inn for some serious cider tasting. In brief - great cabin, beautiful and peaceful surroundings and lovely hosts. Thoroughly recommended!!
