Family-friendly vacation rentals in Wadden Sea

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

We more than enjoyed the stay, especially our son (2 years) was more than delighted with the farm and the play barn. The landlords were super nice and the accommodation very cozily furnished and totally clean. The garden is also an absolute oasis for relaxation. We traveled a lot by bike and can highly recommend the area. We will be happy to come back and recommend the place to friends with children.

Fabulous stay at Cottage Paulus What a great experience! The forest cottage "Paulus" is tastefully decorated and is located in a beautiful, quiet place in the middle of nature. Exactly what we needed to completely recharge. We were there with our two dogs, and they too had the time of their lives. The spacious, fully fenced garden was perfect – safe and large enough for endless snooping and scrambling around. Fareen, the hostess, is incredibly friendly and helpful. From the first contact, everything felt familiar and relaxed. She was quick to respond to questions and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended for anyone who loves peace, nature and an animal-friendly place with character. We will definitely come back!

The place was just fantastic. Quiet location near Amsterdam. Great amenities. Sauna and hot tub included. Also a huge grill that worked great. Suitable for a relaxing weekend with family and friends. And a trip to Amsterdam is also included. The hosts were very friendly, always responded quickly and were also flexible with the arrival and departure times. There was everything you needed. Highly recommend.

Great location for a couple nights stay with a family. Easy walking trails directly outside with lots of animals and waterfowl to see. Our kids loves it and we enjoyed a relaxing time.

We had a wonderful Easter family reunion at Landhaus Wattmuschel! The contact with Pia was warm and very easy; the entire place is nice, well maintained, clean and tastefully decorated. You feel very comfortable right away :) We would always do it that way!

Remote enough to be peaceful. Close enough to access everything we needed. Plenty of room, careful attention to detail, a lot of unexpected bonuses like food, wine, spa elements, etc. Very comfortable and easy. Ina was very gracious and we had no issues.

Had a great weekend. Enjoyed the nice garden with various seats and of course the wellness. Cottage really has all the comforts and the bed was very comfortable. Beautiful quiet area and a 20-30 minute drive from various nice cities. Joop and Thea are very friendly and are there for you immediately. In short, highly recommended!

I spent a few nice days with my dog at Siennie's place. Check-in and check-out were straightforward, parking is available directly at the house. The place was clean and there was everything you need. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The highlight was of course the beach within walking distance. Unfortunately, you only find out on site that dogs are not allowed on the sofa or in bed. It would have been nice to get this information before booking. Apart from that, everything else was perfect, and I felt very comfortable at the place.

We stayed with two children during the Easter holidays for three nights in the farm of Lena and her family. Next to us were some other families with infants present, but it was still very private. Our children could always go to the playground and pond, they were allowed to feed the fish and looked at the animals interested in the supply of the animals. The welfare of the animals is paramount here. We loved the dining area behind the barn overlooking the field and the dyke in the evening sun. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed, it was just a little cold, so better to bring slippers. We slept superbly, opening the windows in the morning and hearing nothing but the wild geese was really nice. The girls were sad when we left, but I'm sure we'll come back.

We loved the yard, garden and apartment. There are so many beautiful details that it would take many days to discover them all. Everything was so creative and cozy, you can tell that there is a lot of work, passion and love in the things. We also liked the animals very much.... We had a very warm welcome and many great tips for excursions - especially because we were also traveling with dogs, it was wonderful that they could also have fun and we could take them everywhere... we had a lovely time and filled them well! Thanks to Patries and Mike and their animals!!

This is our third time staying at Tine’s cottage over the past nearly ten years. It feels like a home away from home. We love Tine and she treats everyone like family. In case you don’t know already, this cottage sits on a quiet street, with its own private parking, entrance, and privacy. It is a very short walk into the backside of Zaanse Schans by the Windmills. You can borrow one of Tine’s many bicycles or simply walk the flat peaceful lanes into the open air park and experience clogs making, cheesemaking, stroopwafels, historic homes and neighborhoods well preserved, shops and gifts, a museum, and the most beautiful intact and functioning windmills you’ll find anywhere in the area - plus much more. It’s only 7-8 minutes to the Zaanse Schans train station and a straight shot in 15 minutes on the train to Centraal Station. Also very easy to get to Keukenhof via train, car, bus, etc. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. Our favorite spot out of all we’ve stayed at in Holland!

Very nice, communicative hostess. The surroundings were very nice to walk the dog. The cottage has everything you need. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We had nice conversations with Trienie and she gave us good tips for doing things. We will be happy to return.

I stayed with Jürgen and Rita for 5 weeks and highly recommend vacationing there to anyone. The apartment offers enough space. We were there with 2 adults, a child and a dog. The garden may be shared and you feel at home. Jürgen has a lot of very nice activity tips with a child and a dog. The two are the best hosts I've ever been to. Thanks again for the wonderful time and we'll definitely see you again.

so from to East Frisia, our first Airbnb experience was great and exactly what I was looking for had a quiet location, mostly accessible, comfortable beds, great opportunities for families with children and what I particularly noticed is a garden that is not East Frisian perfect so that dogs also had fun. I can only recommend the house the furnishings and the equipment is good.

We felt very comfortable in Anette's place, were warmly welcomed and everything was very cozy! The equipment of everything was great and if a little something was missing, Anette was immediately available and brought it over. The garden is a dream and especially for the children a paradise with the large sandbox and mud kitchen as well as the covered ping pong table. Only a few walks directly from the house were missing, but by car you were everywhere quite quickly. We can 100% recommend the vacation home!

We enjoyed our stay at Wendela's. We were warmly welcomed. The "Rosenhäuschen" was exactly what we had imagined. It was our home away from home. And we'll be back for sure.

Our second time in this Air BnB and once again it didn't disappoint. Perfect location, equipped with what you need and super easy communication with Annet. We'll be back for sure.

Great apartment with pool and sauna and fireplace, we felt very comfortable and had a great Easter weekend. The pool could have been a little warmer and cleaner, dirt collected in the corners, the temperature was only 26° But all in all, it is a nice quiet successful oasis of relaxation that we would definitely recommend!

Great location. Walking distance to Cocksdorp. At the edge of the park, therefore a nice view and tranquility. Easily traveled by car. Three bathrooms, so good for groups (in our case three families) and yet privacy and private place.

Really a nice and cozy stay with a lovely view on garden and nature. You can walk onto the heath in no time. Everything that is needed is also present in the garden everything perfect. The outdoor kitchen can also be used with rain due to the spacious canopy. Friendly hostess who also responds quickly to the app.

Had a lovely weekend in this spacious home. All amenities are available. Also enjoyed the infrared sauna.
