Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

If you want a hot drink, a kettle is at your disposal. Breakfast by reservation will be served between 7am and 10am.

For your comfort, the bedrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with 160-cm (5.25-ft) beds and a refrigerator for your drinks and picnics. Breakfast, consisting of fresh, homemade, sweet, and savory items tailored to your preferences, is served at an individual table.

Our house is located in Southern Ardèche 10 minutes from Les Vans, in a very small hamlet overlooking the Chassezac, close to secret swimming and enchanted walks, it is a 17th century stone house that houses my creative workshop and two guest rooms. A breakfast consisting of homemade products (bread, granola etc...), fresh products from our garden or neighboring farms installed in permaculture is offered.
