What can we say.. We spent a glorious, relaxed week here at the end of August, a truly special place a beautifully renovated original stone house with high ceilings and original features. Paul was a generous, friendly and knowledgeable host, and the views are spectacular. Apartment 3 was a good size for our family of 5 (kids 17, 14, 11) comfy beds, en suites for each bedroom and a stunning balcony. The pool was an extra treat, beautiful, and again with panoramic views across the valley. Oh, and the WiFi was speedy too. Brace yourself for the drive, it gets easier and it’s 100% worth it! Would happily and heartily recommend ❤️

Good stay, space with a lot of quality, extremely quiet area to rest from city stress, very cool surrounding area for those who like to walk and stroll through nature. I recommend it.

The house is fantastic, with plenty of space inside, as well as outside. Spectacular pool, my daughters loved it. Orchard with a variety of fruit trees, from which we can harvest and enjoy. Our stay at Lugar das Letras was nothing short of magical. This beautifully restored house, once an old school, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards—a true feast for the eyes. The rooms and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to make us feel at home. But what made our experience truly unforgettable were Carla and Paula, the two wonderful ladies who took care of every detail. Every morning, they prepared a memorable breakfast for our entire family, filled with warmth and care. Their kindness and hospitality turned our stay into a dream. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

Great accommodation, we had a great time at the house. A good location to make/visit nearby places. The house is even better than the listing photos. Breakfast is highly recommended.

The listing is beautiful and peaceful. Host was very collaborative and responsive. We used jacuzzi, the gas griller and the bikes freely. Overall, it was an amazing stay. My only suggestion for improvement would be to ensure the floor of the room is even.

We spent 3 unforgettable family days at the house of Postigo. We were very well received and treated during this period by Luísa, always helpful and attentive to our needs. The house is excellent for its comfort, equipment, cleaning and location. For those who like nature, tranquility, a beautiful sunset and excellent deal, this house is an excellent choice!! Nice and cozy space. It met expectations, all the amenities as if we were in our own home. Hosts are always available and very attentive. We have nothing to point out and recommend that you spend a season in this house, the photos correspond exactly to the space.
