Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Vila do Maio

Gentillement Bernard a accepté de venir nous chercher gratuitement à notre hébergement précédent. Il nous a logé dans une maison plus grande très agréable. Valérie et Bernard font tout pour que notre séjour soit agréable :prêt de vélos, conseils avisés, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la visite chez son ami Raphaël Colicci qui a fondé la ferme d'agroforesterie Maioasis :un projet extraordinaire pour développer des fermes autonomes à but social et solidaire sur l'île de Maio.

Logement très agréable, bien placé et très propre sur la magnifique île de Maio. Nous sommes arrivés à 9h du matin et avons pu directement accéder au logement avec un transport inclus depuis le port. La piscine à débordement est très bien entretenue et permet de contempler parfaitement le couché de soleil. Un accès à une plage privée est également présent et permet une extrême tranquillité.

Bernard and Valerie were very hopitable, kind and friendly with amazing tips about what to do in the island. When Bernard learned we liked birds, he went out of his way to take us around good spots for watching them. We were lucky to be there for Christmas and were invited to a great party in the village with their friends. When our flight was delayed they were helpful and flexible for us to find solutions. The house is quiet, comfortable and well equipped, a pleasure to cook in. Highlighted for us were the sunset views from the rooftop, riding the electric bikes to a deserted beach, really sweet dogs, resting by the pool and closeness Bernard and Valerie have to their neighbors in the village.

Christoph and Mona, were outstanding hosts, and are with you every step of the way. The Beach location offers near perfect untouched nature, the ocean is rich with aquatic life, making the fishing truly amazing. The waves didn't calm during our stay so swimming wasn't possible, however it made the scenery even more spectacular. After spending time with Christoph I began to realise quickly how passionate and genuine he is about their chosen way of life, he is an asset to Maio and held in high regard. They ask nothing in return for all the help received during the stay, and truly enjoy the social company of good honest people, guests appear welcome to be part of their everyday life. Their dogs and cats are well behaved, we looked forward to seeing Lucy +1 each morning guests should appreciate you are living off grid and must be conscious of power used. your own wifi dongle would be recommended if it's essential you. Amazing! If you don’t stay here, you are missing out on a fantastic experience. Chris and Mona are incredible. such kind, generous and welcoming people. The meals they served us were so fresh and tasty, there are also lots of fun activities like snorkelling and fishing available here. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back again! A casa é exatamente como nas fotografias, uma construção de madeira em que nada foi deixado ao acaso e que está repleta de pequenos detalhes e pormenores reveladores do amor e carinho com que foi construída e apreciada. Como qualquer casa de madeira, já vai mostrando pequenos pontos a precisar de manutenção, mas nada de grave. A vista da casa no alpendre exterior é deslumbrante e foi precisamente o que mais adorámos. Ficar no exterior à noite, a observar a imensidão do céu estrelado e em silêncio, apenas com o som do mar, foi igualmente agradável. Casa perfeita para nos acolher com a nossa família. Partimos com muita vontade de regressar por mais dias. Pequenos eletrodomésticos em falta podem melhorar a experiência (chaleira ou cafeteira). No terreno contíguo da casa está a ser construída uma nova habitação, o que retira privacidade ao alpendre. Os trabalhadores são respeitosos e não começam a fazer barulho muito cedo.

Se eu pudesse dar mais de 5 estrelas, eu daria! Ficar na casa da Martina, em Maio, foi uma daquelas experiências que a gente leva pra vida. A casa é simples, aconchegante e cheia de personalidade — perfeita pra quem busca paz, autenticidade e quer sentir de verdade a vibe da ilha. A Martina é uma pessoa incrível, super acolhedora, daquelas que te fazem sentir em casa desde o primeiro momento. Sempre pronta pra ajudar e dar dicas. O lugar é ideal pra quem quer se desconectar do e viver o lado mais verdadeiro de Maio, com pôr do sol de tirar o fôlego e aquele silêncio bom que acalma a alma. Recomendo de coração pra quem quer mais do que só um lugar pra dormir. Obrigada, Martina, por ter feito minha estadia tão especial. Com certeza volto um dia!

Super hôte, très réactif au moindre problème avec un service de navette depuis le port gratuite c’était vraiment super ! L’hôte n’était pas sur place mais nous avons quand même été très bien été accueillie par Ilario et sa femme Je vous recommande ce logement si vous passer par Vila do Maio car il est très bien situé !
