Vacation rentals with beach access in Vila do Maio

The apartment is very nice, close to the beach, it is spacious, has a kitchen with all the necessary cooking utensils. It has a nice balcony. Recommended

Very nice, quiet, we arrive quite quickly at the beach or in town on foot.

We spent a week here and it was excellent. The house is basic but comfy. The property is very calm and since the studio is on a side path, not many people walk in front. The pool and it's view on the ocean and sunset is just breathtaking. The beach down a few stairs is super nice and easy sandy access to swim. When snorkeling you can spot some very nice fish and rock formation. The property is minutes away from the center, shops and food places. Make sure to try "Cha-cha Chicken" (location on G.maps, just 1 minute walk) and the tuna (atum) at the restaurant on the Fort José. The welcoming was great, the staff is very friendly. There was no welcome basket for us at arrival but it is not important. We got picked up at the port by someone with a Stella Maris sign (which is the name of the property). Pick up was fast and no issues there. Overall very nice stay and would recommend to anyone looking for peace, great swimming experiences and easy access to town.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Alessandro’s place. He and his wife were very welcoming, the house is beautiful and perfectly located. Alessandro was always helpful and kind and would happily answer questions, give recommendations and let me feel at home. Unfortunately, I could not communicate much with his wife because I don’t speak her languages. But she was patient with me when I tried to talk to her and was very kind, too. She is a great cook and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with them. I highly recommend this place and highly recommend having at least (!!) one meal with them :) I am already thinking about coming back because I only got to spend 3 nights there.

fabulous villa in great location, perfect holiday

Such a beautiful home! Incredible space, amazing value. Right on the water and within walking distance of the port. Love the roof terazza, wonderful housekeeper Nonna, so peaceful. Fall asleep to the sounds of the waves and wake up to the beach.

Andrea's place is very well located as it is a few 100m to the nearest supermarket as well as to the city beach a good quarter of an hour walk. The house has been lovingly built, the garden very green. Under the tree you can relax wonderfully in the shade. The barbecue invites you to fry fish and vegetables in the evening. The communication with Andrea went smoothly, there were very good tips and an answer to all questions. Clear recommendation!

The house is very pretty, a bit off the beaten track when it comes to shopping and restaurants. But Jean-Christophe is very accommodating and helps with shopping on the first day. Beds are a little worn out.

The house is large and spacious, very well located and with a wonderful beach view. Because of its location, access to the beach directly and is only 5m walk from the center of the village.

Quality host, responsive and very friendly. The house is in a great location, very quiet, change of scenery awaits. As advertised and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay on Maio. The best memory of Cape Verde...

Alessandro was a great host The Check In and Check out was super uncomplicated. He let me take part in everything and gave me a taste of the island's livestyle. I would come back any time.

The stay in Maio was simply perfect, and this was also possible thanks to this perfect accommodation from every point of view. The house was exactly as described (actually, even better!): clean, cozy The host was impeccable: kind, helpful and always ready to give us useful tips to make the most of the island, discover hidden beaches and savor the true Cape Verdean atmosphere. Amazing! If you don’t stay here, you are missing out on a fantastic experience. Chris and Mona are incredible. such kind, generous and welcoming people. The meals they served us were so fresh and tasty, there are also lots of fun activities like snorkelling and fishing available here. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back again! Great Accommodation at Stella Maris! Location was excellent as well as the room, infinity pool and their private beach cove! 10min walk to beautiful Baxonha beach. Francisco was prompt and very attentive in replying to my messages. Would highly recommend, and definitely comeback!

Christoph and Mona, were outstanding hosts, and are with you every step of the way. The Beach location offers near perfect untouched nature, the ocean is rich with aquatic life, making the fishing truly amazing. The waves didn't calm during our stay so swimming wasn't possible, however it made the scenery even more spectacular. After spending time with Christoph I began to realise quickly how passionate and genuine he is about their chosen way of life, he is an asset to Maio and held in high regard. They ask nothing in return for all the help received during the stay, and truly enjoy the social company of good honest people, guests appear welcome to be part of their everyday life. Their dogs and cats are well behaved, we looked forward to seeing Lucy +1 each morning guests should appreciate you are living off grid and must be conscious of power used. your own wifi dongle would be recommended if it's essential you.
