Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Vermilion Parish

We loved our stay at Down da Bayou Lodge! Its location is perfect. You feel like you’re in the country but town is just a little ways from you. There’s plenty of things to do nearby but the best part of it is you can fish and crab right in the canal behind the house. There was also plenty of wildlife to see right there too. Jeremy and Stephanie are amazing hosts. They sent detailed instructions and expectations the day before check-in. Once we were there, we had questions and they responded right away. We will definitely return! Thank you so much for an amazing week!!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Cajun Cottage! Cindy and Bill were exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and full of great local recommendations. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. We especially loved spending time by the pool—it was the perfect place to relax after exploring the area. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and we truly appreciated all the care they put into making our stay so enjoyable. Highly recommend this gem of a spot!

Everything was great. Only complaint was in the bedroom closest to the kitchen. The tv on the wall has a cord that is not long enough to reach any outlet in the room. It’s not even close. Without an extension cord, the tv is pretty much just there for looks. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay.

This house was so clean. It had all the “extras” like coffee, spices, and even medical supplies. Hank and Nealy were super responsive to messages and made everything easy. We will definitely be back.

The place was as described from the driveway to the backyard. We especially liked the privacy and will book in the future.

Great stay with a great price! We enjoyed the chickens and roosters running around the property. The home is sitting on a large piece of land so you don’t have to worry about your things getting broken into, if you’re there for work. Tip: make sure the front door screen is closed completely and keep the porch light off at night. That will help avoid bugs. Comfortable and secure place to rest. A/c also works really well and if you’re cold, there’s an electric fireplace that blows heat. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this location to anyone! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay while visiting for a softball tournament. The hosts were a delight to interact with and the property was fantastic. This area has great places to eat and shop nearby. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

From beginning to end, our stay at Mike’s home on the Vermilion River was above expectations! The home was immaculate and very well supplied for guests. It was very comfortable and a great kitchen with everything necessary to prepare meals. I would have no problem staying there again and highly recommend it to others. Thanks, Mike!

This was truly the best place we could have found. My sister came into New Orleans and finally agreed to go on a fun road trip. I found Amy's place because it was close to the Tabasco factory and Avery island. and many other wonderful things. The listed description was spot on. She welcomed my 2 dogs and has the most beautiful run for them. The pool was fantastic but the jacuzzi was a piece of heaven. I have seen other reviews about a window next to it and lack of privacy., but I will completely disagree with that. we really never wanted to leave. 100% recommend!!!💜💜💜 Amy is one of the best hosts we have ever had. Oh and by the way ALL instructions directions and rules are CLEARLY stated. Truly an amazing experience.
