Vacation rentals with lake access in Vermilion Parish

Beautiful stay, very chic. Rhonda was an amazing host and I rarely had problems at the stay. The AC Unit did break once but was fixed immediately and Rhonda's response time is great. I loved the classic New Orleans feel in the airbnb unit upstairs. The balcony was my favorite but it was spacious enough to accommodate guest space and didn't feel claustrophobic at all. No bugs got in the rooms and the neighborhood is friendly.

We loved our stay at Down da Bayou Lodge! Its location is perfect. You feel like you’re in the country but town is just a little ways from you. There’s plenty of things to do nearby but the best part of it is you can fish and crab right in the canal behind the house. There was also plenty of wildlife to see right there too. Jeremy and Stephanie are amazing hosts. They sent detailed instructions and expectations the day before check-in. Once we were there, we had questions and they responded right away. We will definitely return! Thank you so much for an amazing week!!!

Great place to stay in nice location. Very clean and comfortable accommodation.

The weather was great, the fish were biting and the animals and host were friendly! The inside of the cabin was clean and welcoming. It was exactly as pictured and very cozy. I did find the exterior a little messy and rundown. Lots of trinkets, boots and some broken or excess furniture in the enclosed porch. All of the pillows, chairs and even the beautiful porch swing were a little dirty. We put blankets down and it was fine. The kitchen is where I had the most “issue”. There was little available in terms of pots and pans. But we made due. However in search, and in opening all of the drawers and cabinets we found a lot of rodent droppings. But we didn’t see any. Overall, it was a nice enough stay and we’d come back.

Nita's Rest is appropriately named. It is very relaxing and peaceful. We loved spending time on the screened-in patio for morning coffee and evening cocktails while listening to the birds and enjoying the view of the lake. We slept better than we had in a long time as the beds were very comfortable! And everything you need is there to cook up a good meal if you so desire! We'll definitely be back!
