Monthly Rentals in Vermilion Bay

Great place to stay for us and our big dog. Did a lot of walking and exploring, looking for wildlife. did a lot of birding - it was awesome. there's a marsh behind the house and a bayou across the road in front. saw some gators and beavers paddling around. we also visited the state park just down the road. nice boardwalk and of course more birding and beavers. Did not get to see black bears. Maybe next time. Had everything we needed. got to watch a storm roll in over the bay. Really enjoyed our stay. Will happily return and highly recommend.

I stayed here for 2 months for work. The house and the host Suzanne made being away from home easier on me. The house had everything I needed and Suzanne made sure everything was working properly and made sure I was ok during the crazy cold fronts and snow that hit us during that time. Downtown historical Abbeville was peaceful and quaint with some restaurants, a park and beautiful church within walking distance. I will definitely be back!

This was truly the best place we could have found. My sister came into New Orleans and finally agreed to go on a fun road trip. I found Amy's place because it was close to the Tabasco factory and Avery island. and many other wonderful things. The listed description was spot on. She welcomed my 2 dogs and has the most beautiful run for them. The pool was fantastic but the jacuzzi was a piece of heaven. I have seen other reviews about a window next to it and lack of privacy., but I will completely disagree with that. we really never wanted to leave. 100% recommend!!!💜💜💜 Amy is one of the best hosts we have ever had. Oh and by the way ALL instructions directions and rules are CLEARLY stated. Truly an amazing experience.

This was our 3rd or 4th stay at Darren’s. So comfy and feel right at home!! They left fresh eggs from their chickens, and yummy homemade cookies!!! Beds are always comfy!! Kitchen fully stocked!!! Thanks again for the best stay!!!
