The Little House by the Lake Fiolen

We had a lovely stay in Akhult, it was much more than we have hoped for. The location right next to lake Fiolen was perfect, the possibility to borrow a rowing boat and the bikes was wonderful for us and the kids (11 and 14 year old). The house is cozy and well equipped and tastefully furnished, you can tell that Erik (Katjas husband) owned a furniture shop and knows a thing or two about wood working. If you are looking for a quiet place in the midst of Smalands vast woodlands I can wholeheartedly recommend Katja's and Erik's house. We were very fortunate to have perfect summer weather in late August and early September. We would love to come back at some point... Thank you so much.

Majja is a very loving hostess, who was always available to us by phone and assisted us with planning. The cottage is very cozyly decorated. Our four children were able to let off steam in the garden and on the paddock. The property is very quietly located on the edge of the forest and invites you to pick blueberry. Nearby are many great lakes for swimming and canoeing.

We had a pleasant time at PhiL and Sara's. Phil was kind enough to welcome us and show us around the place in French. The accommodation is well-equipped and functional. It's very nice to wake up to the forest view! Perfect for a stopover near Växjö!

The lake cottage

Unfortunately, we were only guests at Elin & Toba's for 2 days. Why unfortunately? This place gave us the best experience we've ever had on Airbnb. Particularly noteworthy is the cleanliness, the furnishing/decoration - here there is attention to detail, a fully equipped kitchen, and an unsurpassed feel-good factor. Right on the lake in a quiet area, we were able to relax very much and really unwind. Small tip on the edge for a special evening: In the restaurant Texas Longhorn in Växjö, about 12 minutes by car, is the best restaurant in the area for us. Especially when it comes to meat dishes ;-) We thank you for this incredibly beautiful time. Thank you for making it possible for us!! We would book here again anytime! Kind regards Jasmin & Marko

We had a wonderful stay at Ola's place. Right on the lake and sauna in the house. What could be nicer? Direct access to the forest would be the icing on the cake, but there are a few ways to walk / hike within walking distance. Ola was very accommodating and very responsive to messages. We would like to come back in the summer to use the free boat and take a tour of the lake. Everything you need was available in the kitchen and even coffee and tea were provided free of charge! Sincere thanks for the wonderful time at your place, Olá!

Lennart and Lena are the friendliest hosts we’ve ever had. We arrived before the given arrival time, and that was ok (thanks for that 😋). Lena made us feel welcome the moment we entered the premises. The studio is even more beautiful than the pictures. The place has been maintained very well. It truly felt like home. All you need is in the studio. The wifi is fast, the water is warm and bed is huge! Lennart and Lena share their canoe which is amazing! We’ve had a great day one the lake. We took our little dog Fritz, who had the best time of his life! Its safe for him to wonder around (he is a 10month old pup) 10/10 recommended!! We really would like to come back some time to enjoy the calm and peaceful place.

We had some really good days at Carl's lovely place. The host was really friendly and helpful and responded effectively. The house was good - everything was fine. It's probably worth knowing that you're a little close to the loft in the loft. We enjoyed almost perfect silence because the house is so well located surrounded by kilometers of forest. We enjoyed long walks in the forest area, and there are several lakes in the area to walk to and even swim in. We'd love to come back. Thank you Carl for renting out this house.

We had a very relaxing few days at Magnus little Cottage. We enjoyed the cozy house, lovely garden with all the animals and the lake closeby very much. Magnus was very welcoming, showed us his farm including all the fruits and veggies that were growing there and gave us tips in what goods to harvest best for our dinner. He also offered some tips on what to do in the area and we very much enjoyed a hike in the forrest nearby. We would definitely recommend a stay if you are looking for some quite time off at the countryside.

Cozy apartment with everything you need. Beautiful forest hiking trail and lake very close. Susanne and Torsten are very nice hosts. As stated in the description, close to a 70 km/h road that you can already hear well. Heating options with AC and mobile heater are not quite ideal when visiting with a baby, but apart from that, the apartment is great for €29/night in terms of price performance.

A modest living space includes a gray sectional sofa and a white dining table surrounded by four chairs. Natural light is provided by recessed ceiling lights, and warm-toned tiled flooring complements the light-colored walls.

super uncomplicated and very friendly contact, clean, cozy and well-equipped accommodation. well located to paddle on the lake (thanks for renting canoe:)!) or to make smaller hikes. smaller places, cafes and other excursion places in the area can be reached in about 20 minutes to about 1 hour by car. we had a very nice stay, definitely recommended if you are looking for a quiet and close to nature accommodation!

I had a pleasant stay at Prasanth's Airbnb I felt like home, the room was so comfortable, spacious and clean, the bathroom very nice for a shower and spotless, I was able to use the kitchen and utensils for breakfast with some instructions the host gave me, and had to do some laundry without a problem, I thank you for hosting me so well Prasanth you have a beautiful property hope to be back in the future.

We were three families who rented this big and nice house in lovely surroundings. Lake and forest right next door. Possibility to borrow rowing boat and to fish in the lake as well as several walking paths. Peaceful. A nice host couple who welcomed us and told us about the local area.

Even cozier than in pictures! Old and genuine with cozy location right by a forest, for beautiful walks. Perfect if you are a few friends who want a quiet weekend of socializing and walking. Minimal points that can only be good to know if you get there (still very worth visiting!): Very steep stairs so we had to carry the dogs up and down. A little insidious electrical system that got a short circuit if we ran several things at the same time (e.g. kettle and coffee machine, or the washing machine). There was also what looked like mold in the windows, which affected some in the group with allergies. This did not affect our weekend but we had some great days at the house!
