The area is great for hiking, skiing, fishing and watcing the midnight sun in the summer and aurora borealis during winter. For a fee, our guests can also book the ocean sauna hot tub facilities , with a woodfired hot-tub and sauna placed on a big outdoor deck with a fireplace and a cosy indoor chill-zone. We love our house! It's on the most amazing location right by the sea with a view over beautiful mountains, surrounded by nature, and if you are lucky you'll see wild life like reindeers, otters, moose and whales and you can also see Northern Lights from the house. We built the house in 2018 and moved in right away. The house is modern, well equipped and it has a fantastic panorama sauna only a few meters from the sea. The place is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful.

Lyngen is one of the world's most beautiful and undisturbed Arctic regions. From this exclusive cabin you can enjoy the northern lights in the winter and the midnight sun in the summer. The cabin is by itself, with a spectacular view. You can hear and see the ocean from the terrace. You need to walk up 140 stairs to the cabin, or walk the access road. You can be a bit shocked by the steepness, but it's worth it :) You can not drive up so you have to be a bit sporty to rent this place.

New, great cabin with a lovely view!

About this place: The hut is brand new and special. In the kitchen and living room there are large window surfaces and and very high under the roof. The view is therefore spectacular and has to be experienced. You can hear and see the sea from the terrace because the cabin is only 50 meters from the sea. You can park your car almost right next to the lodge. It is therefore very easy to use the cabin. You can carry your luggage right into the cabin.

Kvalöya Lodge is one of the nicest places we've ever had and Ketil is the nicest and most caring host you can imagine. We especially enjoyed the view of the fjord, the evening fireplace, the northern lights and Ketil's tips (Husky tour with Active Tromsö, reindeer herds (they like carrots by the way), Sommaröy, Eidel Handel (great supermarket for self-catering), Söstrene Kafé in Tromsvik). We ended up with a lot of snow - fortunately the country road is well cleared 24/7. Snowshoes and spikes are at guests' disposal.

The view of the fjord is priceless and we really relaxed after the ski mountaineering trips we were able to do despite the weather. Excellent equipment of the house and the exchange of communication with our host who welcomed us with the excellent smoked salmon produced by him

we had a very nice stay at Tuna. The island is a treasure for nature lovers. You can watch many animals, e.g. reindeer, snow hares, snow grouse, rare sea urchins, eider ducks and many more. We were able to ride our electric bikes excellently on this island. What we particularly liked was the boathouse down on the beach, equipped with a wood stove, we liked it so much that we extended the stay by two days. We would come back anytime!👍😀👋
