We had a wonderful stay at Villa Despina! The location is fantastically quiet, perfect for relaxing, and at the same time a good base for exploring the south of Crete. The villa itself is very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped – from the kitchen to the beautiful outdoor area with pool, everything was well maintained. We particularly liked the warm hospitality and the little touches when we arrived. We felt right at home! A real highlight: the fantastic view of the surrounding nature and the sunsets in the evening. We will be happy to come back and can recommend Villa Despina to anyone looking for peace, comfort and Cretan warmth. Thank you for everything!

The location of villa Adriana is perfect for people who love the quiet country side. No neighbours, but some goats , sheep and a cat who can see you walking in pyjamas in the garden in the morning. Very comfy and really huge beds! The kitchen has all the utensils you need to cook. There could be more light above the (electric) stove. The one from the extractor hood didn’t work. Compared with the beautiful bathroom and bedroom downstairs the kitchen is rather outdated. It was fine to cook nevertheless , especially with the delicious olive oil Alexandros gave us! Unfortunately it was not warm enough -end April, start of May- to swim in the pool, but the view of the pool with the garden full of flowers and olive trees and, on the background, the mountains still covered with a bit of snow was stunning anyway! I loved the road to the house: first drive through the village with narrow streets and then through the olive yards. Last but not least: the host Alexandros is very kind as well!

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing house in Crete! The home itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and set in a peaceful and scenic environment. The large garden was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the quiet surroundings. The location is ideal, Kalyves and Chania were both fantastic to explore, with stunning beaches, charming streets, and great local food. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We felt truly welcome. Highly recommended, we would love to come back!

I recently stayed at this beautiful villa in Greece, and it exceeded all my expectations! The property is stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and a fantastic pool that was perfect for cooling off during the hot days. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the bedrooms were cozy and inviting. I particularly loved spending time on the terrace, enjoying the serene views and the tranquil atmosphere. Villa anasa exceeded expectations. The pictures don't do it justice, the attention to detail in the interior is impressive. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. Gorgios was a gracious host and helpful in every way possible.

Clean and spacious accommodation on many levels set down from the road- so lots of steps to consider. Set at the top of a breathtakingly beautiful valley overlooking the town and sea nearby and snow capped mountains opposite. Pool was well used and the jacuzzi was a bonus. Comfy beds and a choice of 3 terraces all with shade or sunshine. Traffic noise can echo up the valley at busier times. Local villages and walks from the door are stunning - good beaches nearby and only 50 mins by car from Chania airport. Car necessary to get to town to shop and local amenities. Travel light - there is a washing machine and plenty of towels. Provision of bathroom products, tea, coffee enough for first day. Bring own beach towels. Double glazing excellent for peaceful nights sleep and shutters keep house cool during hot sunny days. Good value for money and our excellent host was superbly responsive after unexpected storm damage.

We stayed for one week and had a really great time. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The host was always easy to reach and we got many recommendations. We would really recommend this beautiful house, we want to come again next year!

This was the best AirBnb I've ever stayed at, and it really made our trip to Crete. Maria was an A+ host. She was extremely responsive and helpful and pointed us to all of the best beaches and restaurants. The house is in immaculate condition, very clean, and very spacious, and is only 10 minutes from downtown Chania. Thank you for everything, Maria!

We spent a few wonderful days at Anastasia-Maria`s place around the Greek Easter celebration. Anastasia was so nice to prepare a table with different typical Easter things, like the red Easter eggs, the Lambades, some Koulourakia, the EasterBrioche and had prepared little notes to explain the easter traditions. That was amazingly kind !!! Whenever we had a question she answered within a very short time, always helpful and very friendly. The place is a beautifully calm place, where two adults and one teenager could recharge indoors and outdoors. It would easily fit another two people. We had regular cat visitors outside the kitchen door :) You will need a car to get there and to explore places like Rethimno, Chania, Elafonissi or Preveli. There are taverns in the surrounding villages and a Mini-supermarket 5 minutes by car down the road. We can highly recommend this place and will come back in the future. Stayed two weeks in Lemon Tree House, partly working remotely, and loved it. Anthoula is a wonderful host, the house is in a perfect location: quiet, a couple of minutes from the seafront and restaurants with pretty, flower-filled front and back gardens. Kitchen is well-equipped, friendly welcome pack and twice weekly change of linen and towels. It is very good value for money - I can't wait to go back next year! The village has a great beach and plenty of choice of bars and tavernas and an easy bus ride into Chania if you don't have a car.

Eleftherios is a very likeable, helpful and great host! The little house mostly well shaded in the middle of an olive grove. You can pick mulberries from the terrace, a little further there are fresh oranges and lemons. The accommodation is not only beautiful, but also very well thought out. In addition to the good insulation, where a short use of the air conditioning cools accordingly, the fly screen in front of the large bedroom window, the Bluetooth box, the large terrace with a beautiful view of the olive grove, it is the small, well-considered things that simply give pleasure. Starting with sharp, small knives, mosquito repellent, coffee, detergent, good shower gel, orange press, good cooking utensils... We will be back, no question!

We absolutely loved every minute at Nikolaos’s home! Our only regret is that we didn’t plan enough time to just take it easy in Kefalos and the nearby villages, which are so beautiful and full of history. Nikolaos was an excellent communicator (timely, clear, thoughtful, proactive, responsive). He had some food staples ready for us in the kitchen upon arrival. The home was comfortable and charming as was the village - adorable and friendly cats and dogs roaming the village eased our homesickness for our own dog at home. If you’re looking to escape the bustling and crowded nature of Chania then I highly recommend staying here where you can experience the nearby attractions, but retreat back to the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of Nikolaos’s home and Kefalas.

This place is fantastic. Two outdoor seating areas both with breathtaking views facing west so you can watch the sunset. We were there in December during Christmas and they had a nice wood burning stove to help warm the house in addition to an electric heater. There is nothing like the ambiance of a wood burning stove . They provided all of the firewood. They also had a fully stocked kitchen . It was an easy walk to town with all the restaurants. Almost all of which were closed when we went. The beaches are a walkable distance. One of the highlights was the Aradena gorge, a 30 minute drive. The trailhead is in a beautiful ancient town. The hike is technically challenging due to loose rocks. Honestly, one of my favorite things was the area. Off season, it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. I loved seeing all the goats and sheep on the hillsides. One thing to note is the bedroom is on the third floor and the bathroom is on the first floor. This was not an issue for us.

The four of us enjoyed the stay very much. The location was perfect, so you could easily reach the beach and activities. The service and the design of the outdoor area were particularly outstanding.

Very nice stay, big clean pool and awesome surroundings. BBQ lovers: there is a bbq on site but they will have to pre-check with the fire department if BBQing is allowed due to fire risk (pretty reasonable). For us it worked but take it as a heads up. Super cute place overall 😉

We had a wonderful stay in Sotirias house. We enjoyed the breathtaking view of the Souda Bay, the stillness, the sheeps in the Olive grove and the warm welcome. There was everything we needed – even the beach mats and the towels for the beach. You can use three terraces and there is enough place inside and outside. As already mentioned you will need a car overthere to get to the beach, to Chania etc. We loved Sotirias warm hosting with water raki and even a bag full of oranges. We fully can recommend Villa Sotiria.

We had a lovely stay at Nikos’ place in Rodovani. It’s well off the beaten path and we particularly enjoyed the tranquil setting in a small mountain village on the south coast. Nikos greeted us although we arrived well after midnight. There is a lovely village store right across the town square and good tavernas close by. Plenty of hiking options around and the sea only 15 min away. The house is renovated tastefully and we particularly enjoyed the big terrace overlooking the valley and mountains.

Electra was just amazing. We met her close to the apartment and she brought us there to do the check-in in with us. She is super friendly and shared some recommendations with us. The place is as described, it has everything needed for a few days. The garden and the spot under the olive tree are beautiful to have breakfast or read. Note: you will need a car to get there, but it is just a short drive to some restaurants and supermarkets. It was a really great stay and a good location to explore the west of Crete and its beaches.
