My family and I had the greatest experience at Sheri's place. My fur babies acted like puppies again. Our kids had an absolute blast playing in the pool. Sheri had everything we needed for cooking, cleaning, and comfort. We made so many great memories beneath the stars and loved the privacy the property had. We made sure to pick up after our dogs and cleaned it as best as possible before leaving. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Book this property right now! You will not be disappointed! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was more than expected. The pictures do not do it justice! It has alot more space than what I thought it would and there is absolutely anything you could need for cooking including some spices and oils, and of course coffee. The hosts are close by on the property and communication was excellent and so friendly! The views are breathtaking even when it's cloudy and rainy. This was a perfect spot to get away and relax!

The house and property was GREAT! Clean, and home-ly. Jayne was very helpful before and during the visit. I'd be tempted to make my visit a routine; it was such a relaxing atmosphere. Be sure to arrive before sunset!

Beautiful place. I did know it was going to be small, but it was even smaller than expected. I did not love the fact that we had to take all of our trash with us when we left. But other than that it was very comfortable and relaxing! Hot tub was awesome, and star gazing was great.

Such a great property, and our cabin was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Living and kitchen area is spacious and open, very nice bathroom (awesome water pressure on the showerhead), and the bed was comfortable. Despite the outside temps having reached freezing during our stay, the bedroom kept nice and warm, the main area didn’t keep as warm though. The hot tub, perfect…and the view of the stars, amazing. We hadn’t seen this many stars at other parts of Texas that we have stayed at, and this was such a treat. We didn’t cook at the cabin, but the kitchen is spacious and comfortable for cooking for anyone who plans to. Overall, we couldn’t have picked a better property for the type of relaxing and outdoorsy getaway than Basecamp. We plan on coming back and checking out the other cabins and/or tents! Thank you all for sharing these gems! The property has an awesome lake for kayaking, a walking trail and other walking areas.

Home Away Ranch is not just a place to stay, but a place to rest fully, to meet amazing animals, and to enjoy a beautifully appointed cabin in the most beautiful place on Earth. Vicky and Micky have created a sanctuary for animals here, but it is also a sanctuary for human beings, a place of profound healing and beauty. I've never seen a more beautiful place. They offer gourmet meals, horseback riding lessons, gun range lessons, and expertly selected wines and mixed drinks. The goats are so fun to watch, with babies climbing trees! But truly what makes this place special is Vicky and Micky, living angels whose loving faith lives in their works and not just in their words. If you need a deeper rest that a simple "place to stay" can offer, Home Away Ranch is where you want to be!

I have stayed at this resort multiple times for our yearly trips to Concan. Our favorite parts are the spacious cabins and the private access to the river but the kids' favorite is the pool! The only issue we had, though not the fault of Amy and Clint, was the public area directly across from the private river access. It was crowded and people had very large speakers set up. We were forced to listen to whatever they played because it was louder than any of our small personal speakers. We might as well have been at Garner! We still enjoy Garner but were looking forward to enjoying the private access due to them usually being less crowded. On another note, the private area is a short walk, has picnic tables and kept very clean! Overall, we had a great time and will definitely reserve again for next year.

Kelly Jo is very friendly and helpful. She made sure our stay was great. This is a nice place to camp with cute rustic cabins and a “cowboy” pool at each cabin that is very nice to sit in and relax on hot summer evenings with a cold beverage. Overall, it was a great place to stay. The cabins are neat and tidy, the beds and pillows are comfortable.

Wonderful experience. Perfect peaceful place for a gettaway! Kelli was awesome and so responsive. A storm came through and we lost power for a bit during the stay (which obviously was out of their control), and they even drove out to check on us and keep us updated about the electricity being restored! Couldn't have asked for a better stay! Thank you!!!

Super nice house, convenient to lots of activities and great star gazing

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. The Cabin is super cute and secluded in beautiful Texas Hill Country. Everything you need has been thoughtfully provided. There is a full size kitchen and plenty of space to relax on the couch or beds all in one open space. Kathleen left lovely notes for places to go and thing's to do. I thoroughly enjoyed the property and the beautiful landscape. We spent our weekend hiking, exploring and driving the Twisted Sister's back roads soaking up the country views. My favorite part of our stay was watching the hummingbirds and wildlife off the back porch. Very peaceful and serene. We brought our dog with us as well, so pet friendly! Utopia is a cute place and super tiny! Be sure if you're staying a while to stock up a cooler and plan to cook! Everything you need is in the kitchen. I definitely recommend and give 5 stars and will be planning to go again!

Loved the view and just the drive to get to the place, it was so peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely be staying again!

Nice place, the river area was nice and private

A great getaway near the river! We appreciated all the extras that were included i.e. kayaks, floats, life vests, towels that we needed to enjoy the water. Everything was nicely labeled to help find items within the home. Plenty of items to cook meals. Highly recommend!

A gem! The little touches make a difference with my name on the board when we checked in. Love the family vibes of being on private land and the location was so perfect to visit family and make it out to the amazing chalk bluff springs! So happy to have found you we will be booking again.

We loved being back at this cabin for the second year in a row. Perfect for our little family. Our kids loved the access to the river and the fenced backyard was perfect for us to feel at peace while the kids and the dog played outside! Beautiful views

This place was exactly what we were looking for when we wanted a small cabin alone from all the noise. No neighbors, no traffic, just my husband and I with nature. We enjoyed the old time feel of the space. I did specifically look for a place with a jet/hot tub to relax and unwind but our jet tub released some build up from the jets so it was unusable. That was a bummer. It's an easy fix though as long as they run the jets before every guest. We enjoyed the short scenic drive to the town area to spend our afternoons. Close to so many wineries to choose from. We would come back for another stay.

Utopia retreat was as advertised, we had a nice stay! It was close to Garner and Lost Maples and we were able to enjoy it with our dog, for a $15 fee. Note: make sure to bring your own soaps for the shower as they aren’t provided.

Loved staying here, was quite and comfortable. Best place to visit in town is the cute shops and the swimming hole.

This was our second time staying here. The first time was several years ago, before the add-on renovation. I absolutely love the charm of this cabin, and I don't think you can beat the location! We are already looking at booking to stay here again next year!
