Morning! Silence, which is broken only by the singing of the rooster and birds. River stones, from the fireplace heated in the evening, give off warmth. Unopened shutters keep the mysterious twilight, guarding sleep. The coffee maker is "bubbling", adding the aroma of coffee to the smells of herbs and wood. Hiking shoes are "warming up" near the stove. My little flock is still sleeping in the warm "kidneys" under the beds. Soon, both breakfast and a warm shower.
