Nandanas home was one of, if not, the best ever airbnb stays I have ever experienced. From the off set, we were offered a cup of tea or coffee when we arrived that evening. We had a lovely Sri Lankan Curry and felt very welcomed, as if nothing was too much! Nandana organised and arranged our safari tour that evening, and we had the best day- early in the morning. The bedroom/ bathroom was clean and the family who ran the lodge were absolutely lovely. We finished our stay with a lovely sri lankan breakfast. It was a feast! Delicious and the best we've had during our sri lankan stay. a huge thank you to everyone at this lodge- you made our experience wonderful. We would 100% recommend or come back again in the future! This was genuinely one of our favourite places in all of Sri Lanka. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful with a stunning view of the lake and just the sounds of nature. The room is very luxurious, from the big comfy bed to the beautiful bathroom with a hot waterfall shower, it was perfect! Madhu’s hospitality was expectional, we were so well taken care of and felt at home right away! We had dinner on the terrace by the lake both nights and it was the most delicious and varied local food we’ve had! The breakfast was also fantastic! One of the highlights was when Madhu offered for us to borrow her paddleboard of the lake where we went round the lagoon at sunset and saw lots of widlife! A truly exceptional place, would definitely recommend!!

Staying with Thisarn and family was like Airbnb used to be - unique, special and like you were invited into the real heart of the country you are visiting. I felt so lucky to experience this little piece of paradise in the rice paddies. It was so peaceful to just sit and watch the nature. Such a calming place! Thisarn was so kind to escort me on a tour of the rainforest for a very reasonable fee, and is an expert at spotting creatures and making the whole experience fun. Meals were delicious and had that extra home cooked love! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves being in nature and just soaking up the local vibes of this small village. Also recommend using the infinity pool up the road by the national park entrance for a small fee. And swimming in the river near Thisarns home is lovely too. Thanks to Thisarn and family for their kindness.

We had a wonderful stay! Lasantha was really kind, always smiling, and made us feel completely at home. Everything was spotless, and the service was excellent. We especially appreciated the delicious home-cooked meals prepared by his wife, such a treat! The safari, driven by his brother, was also an amazing experience, with plenty of information about the wildlife and nature around us. Thank you for such a peaceful and welcoming stay. We truly felt cared for and will keep lovely memories of this place! 🙏🌿
