This is an absolute gem hidden amongst the trees of Cockatoo. A beautiful wood cottage nestled in the woods, so spacious, well appointed, airy, lots of light, great in any season. Quiet but at the appropriate time, you could watch and take great pictures of the famous Puffing Billy railway making its way past Felder Station which is just a short walk away. This is a great place to make as Headquarters for exploring the Dandenong and Yarra Valley regions. We spent three nights there and it was too soon. Kane and Brook are terrific hosts and made us feel at home with little kind touches, greeting us on arrival and made us feel right at home. This is a place not to be missed. Well done and thank you so much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. It is a very private location with beautiful natural surroundings, but also conveniently close to Healesville and surrounding wineries and attractions. I would highly recommend for couples looking for a quiet and romantic getaway in a beautiful location. The outdoor spa is a unique and special experience!

Our stay with Karina was lovely, the house was just what this girl’s weekend needed. The gardens, grounds, veggie patch and chicken coop was absolutely delightful to wander through during early hours of the morning for breakfast, and late evening to pick dinner supplies. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Alans place is so beautiful, the views are amazing. Very peaceful place. The hospitality was amazing. The place is not far from the Olinda village with lots of store and restaurants with amazing food. I will definitely be coming back.

We had such a great time staying at Lauretta’s Airbnb! The area was absolutely beautiful and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. There were so many amazing sites and scenic hikes nearby, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable. Lauretta was super responsive and helpful anytime we had a question or needed something. Her place had such a unique charm, from the decor to the overall vibe—it really added to the experience and made it feel special. We had such a fantastic stay. The house is so thoughtfully pieced together and Tricia was such an accomodating host. Heater on got arrival, bottle of wine from the winery next door and offered flexibility with checking in and out. Fantastic property and host!

Judith and Paul’s cottage was perfect for our stay in Healesville with our 15 month old son. The property was clean, tidy and had lots of amenities that were important to us as a young family, such as outlet covers, children’s toys, books and tableware. The back deck and gardens were stunning and provided a perfect spot to unwind. In terms of location the cottage is a short 6 minute drive to the Healesville sanctuary, and a short drive into town where there are lots of shops, cafes and parks. We can see why this property would be ideal if you have a dog! We will be recommending the property to our friends who like to travel with their pets.

For a visit at the beginning of winter, the house was easy to heat up with aircon and a woodfire. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook for yourself. Good coffee machine, coffee pods and tea selection. Garden a real picture in the late autumn. Shops and ammenities only a 3 minute drive away including a fabulous IGA in the shopping area that stocks all the essentials plus a great selection of gourmet products, wine and artesan breads. In the warmer months, there are lots of outdoor seats and tables around the property that would enable time in the sun. In summary: a comfortable, quiet retreat in all seasons.

Our favorite part of this home is that it is in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We loved sitting outside in the evenings. John and Liz were excellent hosts and very responsive with questions. Highly recommend this home!

This was our 3rd visit and we love it. Such a great place for little kids. My boys love exploring the yard and surroundings, as well as playing with the dinosaurs and dragons. I love the fire place, out door fire, scenery and peacefulness. We all loved seeing and feeding many rosella's outside the front door. A very special experience. Kester is so lovely to deal with and goes out of her way to accommodate your needs. We certainly hope to return.

Mistwood is just off the main street but feels a world away given it’s down a steep drive and surrounded on by natural bush land. The house is very comfortably, cozy and homely with everything you need for a long weekend. My only issue was the weather was so bad all weekend I didn’t get to use the outdoor bath! Nicole was an excellent host too.

Had a wonderful week at Willow Gum Cottage. A great central spot on Mornington Peninsular. Also a great spot to stay away from the hustle and bustle but within a close drive to everything. The cottage was cosy and homely beautiful and clean and had everything you could want and more. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Greg and Jane were fabulous hosts. We were left a lovely note and snacks on our arrival and of course there was the Alpacas Zeus and Rocketman to welcome us each day.

Great place, we all would choose this place again for family get together. There is enough space for both adults and children. The garden was so peaceful with kookaburras visiting us every time we went into the garden.

Dimitra’s place is a dream. We feel very fortunate that we could escape and spend a couple of days at her cottage in an ideal location. Very handy to not have to use a car. Beautiful space, extremely comfortable bed and amazing bath. Thanks for the extra touches of wine and chocolates on arrival. We loved our stay.

Wonderful place to spend with family. Very private and spacious. Some minor items were not as clean (kitchen). Towels had some damp smells. may need some smaller woods to feed the woodfire heater. The large red gum wood is hard to get lighted.

The unit was great. Exactly what we needed. In the perfect location for us. Clear and easy check in instructions. Tucked away in the trees with beautiful wildlife around, food and bird seeds left for us to feed them which we loved. A little gift of sunflower seeds left for us to take that we also loved, small great gesture. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

Naomi was a wonderful host! The Forest cottage was in a serene location and was a great place to unwind for the weekend. It was a short drive to some beautiful towns in the Dandenong and the sound of the kookaburras and the bubbling creek was a lovely soundscape to kick off our relaxing stay!
