Denise and Brett’s place was exactly what we were after! Fantastic spot for peace and quiet to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The sauna and cold pool is a fantastic add too. Denise and Brett were awesome - gave us privacy but always on hand to help if we needed something. Thanks guys!

Judy and Martin were fantastic hosts from the moment we booked. We made a few changes to our plans, and they were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout. The place itself was beautiful – nestled in one of the most stunning parts of the country. It was peaceful, cosy, and absolutely perfect for a couples’ getaway. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommend, wonderful hosts and a truly special stay.

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

Stayed for a week with our family and absolutely loved it! The house is stylish and well appointed with everything you need. Matt was a great host and helped me right away with a minor problem. House has great features such as outdoor shower and storage room, coffee machine and laundry facilities. Lots of conveniences were provided which made us feel right at home. Thanks Matt and family.
