Giant trees welcome you down the drive back to the cabin in the woods. The cabin, along with my house and a small cottage reside on the 2 1/2 acre property. A contemporary cabin of steel and pine with vaulted ceiling and sky lights. Open living space, inviting queen size bed, luxury rain shower, full kitchen but no stove. A wood burning fireplace- fall through end of March and outside fire pit. Public beach a 5 minute drive away. Couples check out the cabin for anniversaries & special days.

The cottage has many updates, including a new kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer, outdoor shower and a wood stove. The master and second bedroom each have queen-size beds and the children's bedroom has two twin beds. Enjoy an early swim before breakfast or have an evening beach picnic under the sunset.

Cozy, updated cabin in a great location. Was less than two blocks to the beach, and we enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella. Kitchen was well appointed. Comfy furniture and bed. And it is all set on a peaceful, quiet lot. We loved our stay!

The luxurious shower area features a pebble stone floor that adds texture beneath the feet. A backdrop of deep blue tiles enhances the calming ambiance, while subtle lighting reflects off the surface for a soft glow.

This was a perfect spot for my family of four while we enjoyed a long weekend in MI. Joe’s place was clean, peaceful, and relaxing. We walked to our favorite bakery every morning and even saw deer on the way. Joe checked in with us to make sure all was well and recommended one of his favorite restaurants which happened to be one of ours too! It was a wonderful weekend!

Echo Cottage exceeded our expectations... Nestled in a beautiful wooded area, it was very much like taking a step back in time with modern amenities. The cottage has history and personality that came through in the decor - a style that was not cluttered nor sterile, only welcoming. And, we all loved the outdoor shower! Sara was super responsive and offered helpful suggestions of what to see and do on the weekend we were there. Union Pier is a great location for exploring other places and communities in the area. Most mornings began with a stop at Black Currant Bakeshop (pastries and vegetarian sandwiches) and a walk on the beach. Lovely. We look forward to staying there again.

This space is absolutely lovely! Spacious views of Lake Michigan, beautiful appointments throughout the house, uncluttered living areas, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, all within a short driving distance to restaurants/shopping. We've always wanted to stay right on the beach during winter -- Lake Michigan and this BnB did not disappoint! Our stay was a peaceful retreat all thanks to a gracious & accommodating host and owner.
