Amazing all around! We stayed in 3 airbnbs in Zanzibar and this was probably my favorite (it was also the least expensive). The pool is huge and perfect at any time of day. Grounds are beautiful with lots of flowers and trees, and you feel perfectly safe with several night guards. The room itself had everything we needed - fully equipped kitchen, fast wifi, mosquito net, COLD AC (so nice after hot days). Lovely living room space to spread out and relax, as well as an outdoor private patio with another couch and table. Shower was nice and hot (the water gets extra hot so just be careful). Plus there are multiple spots in the common areas to lounge, including a gym, lounge with TV, reading nook with books, and an additional pool on the other property across the street. The propriety also has bicycles that you can use for free. We ate at the Italian restaurant in the other property and it was delicious! The surrounding neighborhood is also really cool to see locals going about their daily lives. There is a local restaurant nearby called Ommy’s that looked amazing and has very cheap local food if you want to try. Unfortunately we went too late in the day but we had several very positive interactions with Ommy and bought some produce from him at a very good price. All in all we absolutely loved our stay here and would 200% recommend it to anyone looking to relax in a very comfortable spot at a great value.

theis right at the beach. the caretaker Mohamed was very friendly and helpful. whenever we needed anything including local tours and guidance he was always willing to help. the chef was excellent. i will recommend her cooking for anyone. early morning walks on the beach, vert memorable. We loved our time here! We would absolutely come back - when you stay here be sure to go to the restaurant. It was phenomenal! The pool was wonderful, the staff were helpful and we even booked a massage through the hotel. I would highly recommend doing that for your stay as well! The masseuse suggested doing the massage at the Yoga Bar - hearing the ocean while getting the massage was wonderful! We will absolutely be back!

The location is outstanding. Right on the beach, you had the section almost to yourselves. It was very quiet, the apartment was very large, there was air conditioning in both bedrooms. There were some hotels with music and a restaurant in the area. The communication was very good. Definitely recommended!

We loved everything about our stay at Villa Funga. The house was everything the pictures had promised; spacious, cool decor, fantastic pool (the water was actually cooling), attentive staff - and beautifully located on the beach. Plenty of nice restaurants at resorts nearby, especially if you love seafood. Local groceries can be found at the local marked a short walk from the house. All in all just a wonderful place!

amazing view from the balcony. the best place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. laid back atmosphere less people in the beach so you can enjoy the serenity. amazing staff very helpful they make sure the pool is clean and free of fallen leaves. 3 nights is very short must book for a week, the kids love the pool they dont want to stop. overall, this is a must-book place if you want to enjoy the beach and your peace of mind.

The place is excellent for families. Everything is clean and nice, small shops nearby - we can recommend Fatma's shop (first one on the left) if you have no car. Otherwise you can go to the main street where you find many local shops and even a supermarket! Alessandro is very helpful and the staff is nice, too. Everything very secure. If you go to the beach (around 5min), you pass a small village, where many childrens play :) Breeze has a small place at the beach, too, where you can enjoy the Indian Ocean. There are no stones when you go into the water (which is not everywhere the case)! We would definetly come again! Thanks to the entire team!

This is a fantastic little gem, that is in a quite and secure area just minutes walk to the beach; just perfect for relaxation. The apartment was spacious and clean, with rustic Zanzibari touches. Great place to stay if you want to venture out and also experience the local Zanzibar culture. This was my first Airbnb stay and it more than exceeded my expectations.

It is a peacefull and beautifull spot on the beach of Pongwe. With a big tropical garden and pool. Msuli was an excellent host for us when our son needed medical attention. Thank you so much for everything, we had a wonderfull stay at your accommodation.

Ina and Msuli and their staff were phenomenal! Can’t say enough about how great they were! Good people, great location, clean, and safe place. Right on the beach, which makes everything accessible by walking and also the private pool is a great amenity as well. When we come back to Zanzibar in the future, we will definitely bring the whole family and stay here! 5/5!

Newly built complex, central, very close to the beach, equipped and clean. The Brezeer staff is always attentive, kind, helpful and very professional. A plus; their free bike service. Highly recommended for any kind of person. General note 10 out of 10. It's been a pleasure. So far Nico. ;)

This is a good accommodation, clean, and as the pictures show. I recommend the house. The host is proactive and answers your questions and enquiries promptly.

Really great location, fairly cheap for stone town - it’s a little busy near the market but being in such a central and active location gives you a real taste of life in Zanzibar which the resorts won’t provide.

centrally located between the touristic and local residential areas. close to public transport to other parts of island. walking distance to ferry and 3 wheeler to airport.

We stayed here for three months, so Train House was our home. Raymond became our friend, he was so helpful, so friendly. It’s loud because of the Darajani Market but I personally didn’t mind. The location was great, you just had to step out to get food and you could walk through Stonetown in like 15 minutes to get to Forodhani Food Market. There was actually nothing I could complain about, I will miss it very much!
