A stunning place with breathtaking views of the hardanger fjord and an ideal location by the water. We spent four wonderful days fishing, hiking and relaxing in the very peaceful garden. Jan is a truly kind and attentive host, always available to help and answer our questions. Fresh flowers and a bottle of local cider were waiting for us and made us feel instantly at home. A fantastic experience – Highly recommended! We do hope to have the opportunity to return soon!

Our stay here was incredible. We booked for 4 people but this place could easily accommodate 8. The place was clean and tidy and offered everything we needed and more, with beautiful surroundings and a private and authentic feel. Things like extra towels, a pantry with some basic items like rice and pasta, food in the freezer and an easy to use washing machine and dryer really made us feel well looked after. We stayed when temperatures were between -10 and -18 Celsius but the house always felt cosy. The nearest Ski bus stop is a 7-10 minute walk away and the nearest supermarket and ‘town’ area are a 25 minute walk away. If you enjoy walking then the location is fine but we opted to hire a car from the airport to use for our transfers which I would highly recommend. This made collecting ski hire, shopping and travelling to the different slopes much easier as there is lots of parking areas. 10/10 stay. I have already recommended to friends and family.

Very nice house in a sublime environment. The most beautiful place we've stayed in! Perfectly equipped, we lacked nothing for the kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom or the rest of domestic life. The fire was even ready to be lit in the fireplace. Margrethe was very nice and helped us when we needed it, thanks again for everything! If we could put 6 stars we would. We're already dreaming of coming back!

We had a very nice stay at the house. The host is a very friendly woman and we felt very welcomed. The area is breathtaking and the house has the perfect view over the water and the beautiful nature of Norway.

I am convinced this is the best cabin in all of the fjords! The location simply cannot be beat and the cabin was so thoughtfully built and furnished. I traveled here with my husband and two children (6 & 8) and it was the perfect size. Everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. We opted to use the boat one day and are so glad we did. It allowed us to see the fjords in a unique and personal way. Amazing memories getting up close with nature. There isn’t a single thing I would change about this place. We met the owner and his son who were very courteous. The owner gave us the recommendation to drive the snow road which we did - it had only recently opened. We were so grateful for the recommendation. Book it, you won’t regret it.

This is a unique gem of a location. A newly renovated house with everything you need. Great beds, large bathroom, cosy atmosphere and great views. Sheep right next door. A perfect location to explore the surrounding mountains and fjords.

Very well located accommodation, with a magnificent view of the fjord and the mountains just outside. The Bunnpris store is right next door so very convenient for shopping and cooking. The accommodation is as described, we had everything we needed to cook and rest in the evening after walks and outings during the day. It's easy to hear the noise outside (on the street), for example delivery truck in the morning but it didn't bother us for us.

A nicely decorated apartment with a great view. We enjoyed sauna and pool- it was very clean and water temperature was comfortably warm. We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed sauna in both evenings. The apartment was quiet. When opening balcony, there's some sound from traffic, but with the door closed you don't hear anything. Beds are super-comfortable! There's an oven- we baked a pizza and it worked perfectly! Washing machine is available, but it's said to be outside the apartment in a separate laundry room. Overall, the apartment is very compact. It might feel too small for a longer stay, but as for our stay of 2 nights (4 adults), it fitted all our needs!

I will return in winter for sure, the place is amazing and it is well located and in a place of tales, it has an amazing view of the lake and the privacy and convenience that surpasses the other lodgings we have tasted, and as amazing as it looks has the best price in the region. Wonderful cozy cabin in a peaceful area with lake view. We were there during a period when it rained so it was a bit more difficult to access the cabin but the host provided helpful instructions to avoid having the car stuck in the mud

This was a nice apartment, easy to find and we enjoyed that it had access to the pool. Host was incredibly responsive and easy to contact when anything came up. Only stayed here one night as we were passing by but it had black out shades! This was a huge plus for us as no other place we stayed had them. Restaurants are walkable from the apartment. Overall would recommend this place, I’m sure it’s great when ski season opens!

good communication in advance, very flexible with arrival time, we were early and were allowed to enter immediately. apartment was good, bonus is the space near his apartment where you can sit comfortably. also swam and used billiards etc. all in all very worthwhile !! thank you Joakim!!

Great apartment. Two bathrooms. Everything you need for a weekend stay and more is available in the apartment. The only downside for us is a super soft mattress on a double bed. Lots of dresser cabinets, TV, mixer, and lots of different things available in the apartment. Chargers for electric cars. The pool and common areas could be in better condition when it comes to cleanliness.

Very nicely located accommodation. We had a lot of snow and saw a lot of aurora lights. We were able to reach the place easily, but it was very helpful that Eirik lent us snowshoes. You have to be good on foot to get to the vacation home. The view is great. The communication was very good.

A lovely place, close to the side roads in Apalvegen and wonderful by the fjord. Everything was top class, and well equipped both inside and in the outdoor area. We are six ladies who have had a great time.

for the adventurer, this cabin is absolutely amazing! there is a short downhill hike from the train station for the able-bodied to arrive at the cabin. once we got there, we didn't want to leave! it's absolutely beautiful! the views are stunning! our family of four felt right at home. pet-friendly home

Lovely location and cabin!

Lovely house equipped with everything you need and offering the most incredible view of the fjord! Good bedrooms, large bathroom and spacious living areas. John is a great host and he is really easy to get in touch with. Check-in and check-out are simple and give plenty of flexibility! We had a fantastic stay!
