House vacation rentals in Ulster

The house is beautiful and the location was lovely, but there were a few things that fell short of the listing description. There was a strong mildew smell in the garage (even after the handyman aired it out), and some basic amenities were missing, like laundry baskets, food storage space, and charging cords for the speakers. There were also only two tall drinking glasses, which was tricky for a group. The outdoor living area shown in the listing wasn’t set up when we arrived, and we would have loved to enjoy it if the cushions were more accessible. That said, the host was very responsive when we reached out with concerns, which we appreciated. With a few tweaks to better prepare the home for guests, this could be a truly wonderful stay.

I spent my birthday at this beautiful house and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The place was spotless and full of natural light, with lovely views that made the stay even more special. The atmosphere was peaceful and clean, and the house had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. I truly felt at home and appreciated all the thoughtful touches. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, well-equipped getaway!

My husband and I had a wonderfully relaxing time at the Little Owl Teahouse. It’s a cozy and well-outfitted cabin with a super comfy bed and a great leather reading chair. Drank lots of the delicious mountain well water. Made breakfast in kitchen — love the pans and electric cooktop. Short drive to Woodstock for dinner. And oh the beauty of the surroundings - scenic views everywhere. Our two little doggies were happy to romp in the fenced in yard. Little too chilly when we were there but pool looks so appealing. Lisa is a proactive and super responsive host.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Wilderkill Barn. Maria Cristina and William were exceptional hosts—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The home was a haven, with a hot tub, sauna, pool, fire pit, pool table, and immersive sound and movie systems—all of which made our stay delightful despite the cold, dreary May weather. We can't thank them enough. ***That said, we feel it's necessary to address a serious issue with Airbnb itself that arose while booking this property, unrelated to the property itself. An unexpected tax was added after booking, and Airbnb has yet to provide a clear explanation. After years of loyalty, we were disappointed by their evasive and unhelpful customer support. This experience has made us reconsider using the platform in the future. We urge potential users to scrutinize all fees carefully and be aware that Airbnb’s support may be difficult to navigate if problems arise.***

This house absolutely reminded me of home and my childhood ! So lovely and clean. Absolutely love the heated pool ! This was the perfect house for our wedding at the Mohonk mountain house . Close and such a comfortable stay . We really enjoyed the outdoor porch sitting room . Thank you for a comfortable and wonderful stay .

Our stay at Stone Creek Cottage was great from start to finish. The space was incredibly clean, and looked exactly like the photos. The host was very responsive and answered all our questions. Would definitely come back to to stay here!

We stayed here for the weekend of our son’s graduation nearby, and it was the perfect place to land. The house is beautiful and full of charm, with original artwork, comfy chairs, and inviting spaces to gather and relax. You can really feel the care and attention the hosts put into making it special. Thanks to a stretch of spring rain in the area, the landscape around the stone house was vividly green, lush, quiet, and full of life. One of our favorite moments was sitting on the bed and being surprised by a hummingbird visiting our window. Such a lovely and memorable stay!

A beautiful, comfortable house right on the Hudson with stunning views. We loved watching all the life on the river, herons and loons and ducks, as well as boats from tiny crafts to massive barges. There are great hikes just a short distance away. It is a perfect place to rest, write, draw, and make music.

Lovely clean and modern home. Liked the location - quiet and peaceful but only a short drive to both Kingston and Woodstock. Was perfect for our group.

Immaculate. Cute and cozy vibe. Comfy beds and fresh linens were a bonus. Host gives attention to detail and immediate feedback if needed. The brand new kitchen was a plus. Close to Rhinebeck and offers other close by gems in the valley. Pleasurable stay.

Our family had a lovely time at the Creekside Retreat. We arrived to a clean house with clear instructions for entering. Parking was convenient to the front door. We settled in and played scrabble which was provided by the host in the game cabinet. The second day we enjoyed a great breakfast at a local diner and went hiking about 20 miles away at Minnewaska state park. There was also a walking trail much closer we may check out on another trip. There was a park nearby my children walked to play baseball. Our two dogs made themselves at home. The creek was flooded so we weren’t able to enjoy the deck on it or the boat - maybe next time. The hot tub also didn’t work while we were there but we didn’t realize until later in our stay so it may have been a simple solution. The host generously left towels, blankets, and toiletries but we couldn’t find wash cloths. Wood was left out for the fire. Overall, we had what we needed for a great weekend getaway.

Hana was very responsive and provided lots of suggestions and information about the area including places to eat, shop, spend time both walking distance and short drives. The house was very clean and the back deck is private and lovely for spending some quite time or eating. Full kitchen with many snacks, teas & spices provided. 5 minutes from downtown. 10 minutes from the river. Definitely would stay again.

The house was AMAZING!! There were helpful instructions everywhere - instructing us how to turn on the shower, and there was a whole booklet with everything we could need for navigating the house. The hosts truly went above and beyond. There was a welcoming box with snacks and a lovely handwritten card from the hosts, which was so greatly appreciated. The bathroom was like an enchanted spa! They left toiletries and shower products as well. Thank you so much, and we would recommend this place to anyone!

We had an easy and wonderful stay at Matt’s! We were a group of 2 couples and 1 additional adult and booked both houses. Everyone had enough space and the house was clean and welcoming. The house is located close enough to the highway so it’s easy to get to many nearby towns. We loved the two house configuration, it worked out perfectly for our group. Would highly recommend!

Awesome location in Kingston. Close to many great restaurants, coffee shops and art spaces. Such a fun place to visit for a long weekend. Rosie had great recommendations for anything you could want to do. The space has an amazing yard and so many good books to read.

Had a great time staying here with my girlfriend and dog! The space is beautiful and well appointed. Stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, good media setup and plenty of space. The house guide has lots of good recommendations, and the hosts were very responsive when I needed them

We loved every minute of our stay at this beautiful home. It was so lovely and well-considered, sparkling clean, and incredibly peaceful. We had an unseasonably cold weekend, but it worked out perfectly, because we enjoyed the amenities even more. The sauna and hot tub were incredible. The fire pit and indoor fireplace kept us snuggled in at night. There was so much to do and enjoy. Diana was wonderful and kind, ensuring we had everything we needed. We loved that there was wood stocked for the fireplace, pizza oven, and sauna. Our pups were also welcome and had so much fun exploring.

Great hosts. They had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and keep our little ones occupied. Fully stocked spice cabinet was an unexpected bonus. Close to 3 towns. Striking distance to the mountains. We’ll come back.

We visited with our 3 young children (4,2 and 11 months) and found the house perfect size (and we didn't even use the massive lower level!) and very safe and easy for them to move around and play. the ample amount of kids toys and books was a huge plus! The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking with all the platewear, cutlery and tools/pans you would need as well as oils, spices. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. The deck and backyard were both lovely place to eat and relax. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a house for kids or even a larger group as there are more bedrooms and a full kitchen on the lower level. we will be back!

This stat was truly unforgettable. The home felt like a true sanctuary - peaceful, spotless, open and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Adele was an amazing host! She went above and beyond, even leaving a thoughtful, personalized note for our anniversary, which meant a lot to us! The views were stunning, the sounds of nature were so calming, and my partner loved fishing at the lake every day. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and connection with nature. This has been my favorite trip so far, and I can’t wait to come back with friends and family to share this little piece of heaven. Highly recommend 10/10!!!
