Had a great stay at The Falls property, such a cosy spot and just beautiful views. We were sad that we didnt really get to use the outside space as it looked great, and we were sad to leave. Would definitely book again if we were in Ambleside. Don't be put off that its outside the town, we timed a 7 minute walk through the back roads which was perfect, also meant we had parking which is clearly at a premium in the town!

Fabulous home from home, within walking distance of the town, great local pubs with top class food. Lots of Bus routes to some great places and beautiful walks, what a great place many thanks for letting us stay

I had a wonderful stay at Sharu's place! The space was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Sharu was a responsive and thoughtful host, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The neighborhood was quiet, beautiful and conveniently located near everything I needed. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay here again!

Had a lovely short stay at The BoatHouse. Views were absolutely stunning and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The beds were super comfy. The work next door was a little noisy at times but we were pre-warned and to be honest it didn’t bother us. Just beware to close the blind in the bathroom as the crane provides a direct view in! Please note that you need to bring your own toilet/kitchen roll for the accommodation otherwise everything was extremely well stocked. Would definitely return!

The drive to the cottage from easedale road, with around 5/6 gates, didn’t phase us at all. I wouldn’t recommend driving along the tracks in a hatchback, but in an SUV it was fine. Also currently in the middle of a drought, so no wet mud to contend with. As I’m young and fit I just jogged between the gates while husband followed in car behind. Check in was fine, the usual key box as with most Airbnb’s, which I prefer over a physical host. Cottage was great, lovely place, gardens and views amazing. It didn’t quite say in the listing, but the whole garden is shared with the other property - it’s massive so space isn’t an issue, it’s more that with dogs this means you have to be constantly watchful which isn’t relaxing - if there was a boundary like a small fence with chicken wire, you could let the dogs roam in peace with the doors open. The mattress was way too hard on the kind size bed for preference, and the other property had a 30 min shower at 2am so I didn’t sleep well sadly.

We had a fabulous long weekend here. Right from the very friendly welcome from Simon when we arrived to a cheery goodbye. The house is beautiful. Very well maintained and an excellent standard. Total luxury. Very comfortable and we all felt at home. The views from the house are stunning and the hot tub was lovely with even better views than the house. Thank you Simon for being quick to respond ahead of the trip and for having such a beautiful home that we got to stay in. We hope to be back when we sign up for another Lake District running or swimming event.

Our third stay in Ann’s cottage so it feels like home. We feel so very relaxed here and it’s in the perfect situation for exploring the Northern Lakes. As always the accommodation is bright, airy beautifully decorated with everything we need. Ann’s commutation is friendly, courteous, timely and precise. We couldn’t wish for more.

We had a fantastic long weekend in the lodge. Absolutely stunning landscape and the lodge was beautiful. It had everything we needed and more! Thank you so much for a fantastic stay.

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Really enjoyed our stay, we were celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday and had other family members staying in other lodges around the park. Beautiful scenery and great location. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

Lovely caravan sited on a well kept location. We are an older couple who only stayed one night to break up a journey, but would thoroughly recommend this space especially if you have a young family. Spotlessly clean and stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay, it makes for a very enjoyable holiday. Many thanks to the hosts!

We had a wonderful 5 day stay! The caravan was perfect for our family of four (plus our dog) — cozy, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What really stood out was the incredible attention to detail, especially for our pup — treats, a towel, and even a blanket were waiting for her. It was so heartwarming and showed how much care went into everything. Our host was amazing — Sam sent us great recommendations in advance for places to eat and things to do, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. The fresh flowers and duck food left for us were such a lovely surprise — it truly felt like a personal and welcoming experience. We’re so grateful and would absolutely love to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, pet-friendly getaway!

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

My husband and I (and our two dogs) had our mini-moon here and it was just the relaxing break we needed. The dogs settled straight away and it's the most sleep we've had in years. Lisa was super helpful throughout and we couldn't have been more grateful for our beautiful stay away. Thanks again, Laura xx

Hazel's & Mike's place was lovely! Booked for two nights to attend a wedding nearby. Needed somewhere for our small family to stay and this was perfect! lovely place with very well kept accommodation in a quiet location! Everything was great and more than what you could need - very nice bathroom/wet room, and fully equipped kitchen keeping the toddler fed easily! Very spacious bedroom with perfect size beds for all. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if we find ourselves in this part of the world again!

Lovely property! The view is absolutely stunning! Great location - many pubs near by, children’s park and walks to do from the property and only 30 min drive from Buttermere lake ‘which is a must’! Perfect for our 2 year old, she loved running around the garden and seeing the view & sheep! Great communication with host. Would 100% recommend!

The property was immaculate. Looked even better than the photos when we arrived. Very private and secluded. Even though it’s attached to the farm house we felt alone which was great. The character of the wooden beams was a highlight of the house. All the amenities you could want, oils, sauces, cling film and many more. Never had this before when we’ve stayed away in other Airbnb’s. Great little touch. The hot tub was a perfect touch with superb views over the hills. Easy to use and plenty of room. If anything negative to say maybe providing a fan during the hotter months would be a benefit. We found that when doors or windows were open, a lot of flies came into the property. Being next to a farm this wasn’t unexpected but we were quite hot during our stay. Noah the cat was very friendly and would always greet us when we arrived from our days out. He kept us company when sat outside on the patio All in all a perfect property that we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Carolyn's place, the Byre, is absolutely superb. Has everything you could want and I found it quite spacious. Large, comfy bed, great bathroom and shower, good kitchen and lovely lounge area. It has real character too. The place was immaculate and spotlessly clean. It is in a tranquil setting and has parking on the courtyard right outside the front door. Carolyn and her husband Mike are very friendly and helpful and had left a welcome note and a gift of a box of shortbread biscuits which were much appreciated. There were clear instructions for everything and lots of advice on local amenities and the surrounding area. The place is pet friendly which was important for me. The surrounding area is beautiful and Carlisle is not far away. I think that for this high standard of accommodation the Byre represents very good value. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely use it again when I am in the area. I highly recommend Carolyn and Mike's place.

What a stunning place to say. The cottage was surrounded with views and inside has loads of character! Will definitely look to book again in the future. I thankfully had nice weather so managed to make use of the garden to sit and work on my laptop, there was some seats to use which is great. Cottage was clean and cozy, I almost expected to feel a little bit cold (which I would’ve been happy with) but it was so inviting and warm inside I’d have happily moved in. Hosts were super helpful, instructions getting to the lodge were helpful and clear including getting into the cottage. Wouldn’t be the best if you had a lowered car just for the track but so nice to be away from the road and not overlooked! Can not recommend enough!!

Lovely upside-down barn conversion (spacious living /dining/kitchen area upstairs), very characterful with the exposed roof beams and stone floors downstairs. Beautiful rural setting opposite the church and fields, and near a working dairy farm. We really loved our stay! Host was fixed any little issues quickly, and our family of 4 had a chilled out time when not exploring the Lakes.
