Stay in Mongolian Nomadic Family

Organised transport to and from Ulaanbaatar and a driver/tour guide for the day for $100. The guide was lovely, and we had fun battling through the rain. Family were very accommodating, and the ger was comfortable and warm.

Nomadic cooking, 3 meals included! Home stay with nomadic family in Naraiha Grassland or Oku-Terelj

AkikoRating, 5 stars3 months ago
My daughter (11 years old) and I stayed together. It is still difficult for my daughter to ride for a long time, so I did not ride the horse, and instead asked for additional options for a dog sledding experience and a visit to the Chinggis Khan Mounted Statue.Messaging was seamless and accommodating with additional requests and inquiries. There were some instances where this schedule was not communicated well on site, but I contacted them and they responded immediately.During my stay, the nomads took care of me and made me feel very comfortable. She worked hard to communicate with me in the Finger Talk Book and the Translation app, and it was a very warm stay. We'd love to come back again in a different season.

Mongolian nomadic family

Having a clean bathroom with tap water and hot shower was completely exceeding my expectations! The hill next to the ger is easy to hike and the view is stunning. Do not miss the farm animal interaction and the extraordinary star view with absolutely no light pollution. Guests can also choose from the host's tours and enjoy a discount. A small surprise towards the end of your stay/trip too!

Mongolian two humps camels and our horses.

LukeRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Oyuna provided us with an incredible memorable stay with a Mongolia family in a very traditional, yet modern and comfortable stay. Our ger was warm, our bellies full of good food, and we were always chatting! We would love to come back and stay again, in different season, and different settings! She stands out amongst the rest due to her incredible and friendly personality.

Mongolian national Ger .

KatharinaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We stayed three nights at Oyunas brothers Ger. There were some small miscommunications but over all we had a great stay! We got the most delicious vegetarian food and the family was very friendly. Make sure to tell Oyuna beforehand what your expectations are and what you would like to experience. We asked to milk cows and did a short horse ride. We could also watch how the family made cheese curt. Unfortunately Oyuna was not with us so we could not understand the family. I recommend you do some research on hiking in that area because we didn’t know where to go in our free time. On our last day the family took us to Terelj national park for 70$ per person. A tour with English speaking guide would have been better, but we still enjoyed our time! Thank you!!! :)

The camp was very beautiful and surrounded by great nature. Enkhtuya and the other staff were so nice and kind that we were able to stay comfortable. The restaurant they served was great; we loved it. I really would like to visit again someday.

The contact with the host was always prompt👍 The facilities were better than I thought, and it was nice that hot water was provided. In particular, it was so nice that the caretaker was kind and thoughtful ^ - ^ Meals can be done by watching the turtle rocks. Thanks to the caretaker, I was able to enjoy horseback riding at an affordable price, and I was able to watch milk at dawn. I was worried about arriving at the airport at dawn, but it was nice that there was also a pick-up service, and in particular, I was grateful to the coach for dropping me off at a good place so that we could see the stars on the way to the accommodation, and also sightseeing the wonderful places in Terlj on the way to the city. 😀 It was low season, so it was good because there weren't many tourists. Instead, most restaurants are not open. I want to buy a lot of food in advance and feel the nature of Mongolia again here. All the villagers were kind, so it was a pleasant and relaxing time for two nights in Terliji.❤️

Cozy, traditional, near forest

MisaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The hospitality here is unmatched. The staff are incredibly kind and go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. They arranged tours, transfers, and everything I needed during my stay. What stood out the most was how genuinely warm and welcoming Undra was. She made delicious Mongolian meals for me which were some of the best I’ve had. Her husband was also very considerate and ensured that the room was warm and cozy, even though it was winter. Staying in a modern ger was the perfect introduction to traditional Mongolian living. I think it’s an excellent place for beginners to experience a ger stay for the first time. I highly recommend staying here – it truly made my trip unforgettable.

Welcome to Mongolia

Rating, 5 stars6 months ago
Anar was very friendly and sent us directions after we booked. However, we followed the directions on Airbnb and went directly to a place called Terejl Hotel. Later, Anar arranged for someone to pick us up at the right place. The yurt is quite big and suitable for travelers who really want to experience the life of nomads. We went horse riding and tasted local food. Thanks a lotfor the hospitality of the nomads. At night, they also provided us with a lot of firewood, which made the house very warm. This yurt is located between several resorts. You need to drive a small road to reach it. It is very beautiful and peaceful at night.

Boutique Ger Stay in Khustai National Park

MilesRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Ganaa and Siilegmaa are the best hosts I’ve ever encountered in my life. True, generous, real hosts — not overbearing or people-pleasing but genuine, warm and effortlessly giving. This will sound cliche but I have no other way of putting it — they somehow, magically, made me feel like we were family — this across a seemingly insurmountable language barrier (bridged with a little janky google translate magic which, if you don’t speak Mongolian, I would recommend). And leaving felt like I was leaving home for the first time. I don’t know how this was possible and I won’t forget it. Siilegmaa’s meals are so nourishing and Ganaa took me on these awesome herding expeditions across the grasslands. Location: you will see an army of goats, scattered little horse tribes, the sunset, the sunrise, the impossibly vast landscape and you will be moved. But above all, these are great people. Come.

Had a great stay at Enkhzaya's yurt! Her family are extremely attentive and caring. The location and yurt itself is also very nice. Despite only being about 1.5 hours out of the city, the area is nice and remote with great hiking spots. Was also invited over to the neighbours for drinks. Had an amazing time! Definitely coming back if I get the chance to return to Mongolia!
