Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ubud

Realllllllllllly awesome place to stay. We enjoyed our time immensely. Ketut was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had a super late flight and she made sure she was available for us on arrival which I we were so grateful for. Breakfast daily was yummy! She also arranged a traditional Balinese massage for my husband in the room and it was INCREDIBLE! Highly highly recommend!

Un lieu paisible , hors du temps . À proximité des commodités et du centre ville (15/20 m à pied ) mais pourtant loin de l’agitation et du trafic bruyant . La villa Bukit Sari est un havre de paix . Luxuriant et authentique, élégant . Dont les photos ne rendent pas totale justice à la beauté des lieux . C’est encore mieux qu’en photos et c’est un bonheur d’être surpris de la sorte !!! J’y ai séjourné seule et je reviendrai sans hésiter . L’accueil s’est fait de manière très fluide et accueillant, très agréable . Un immense merci aux équipes pour leur douceur et bienveillance . Foncez-y!!

Nyoman has been a fantastic Host, he and his family were willing to help at anytime even with the luggage! The lady who brings the breakfast was always very friendly and helpful smiling all time. The surrounding area is really very good with everything you need just a few meters like money change, renting a bike or even a Laundry shop! I recommend to rent a bike from the Nyoman’s brother who is just next door and discover Ubud and surrounding area. I have really no negative points at all. Everything was perfect and exactly like the photos! Definitely gonna book it again or recommend it to other friends.

Wayan ist ein herforagender Gastgeber. Er ist super hilfsbereit und kümmert sich um alles. Er besorgte uns einen Roller und machte uns auch Frühstück. Die Wohnung ist super sauber und ein Traum. Die Aussicht auf die Reisfelder ist herrlich. Ebenso das ganze Anwesen mit dem Pool. Es ist eines der besten Air BnBs und hat es wirklich verdient 5 Punkte zu erhalten. Für Bali ist es klar etwas teurer, doch es ist das Geld wert. Ich kann diese Unterkunft und Wayan zu 100% empfehlen. Auch gibt er viele Tips was man in der Umgebung anschauen kann, wo nicht so viele Touristen sind. Gerne empfehle ich dieses Air BnB. Da ich selbst Gastgeber von 40 Air BnBs in der Schweiz bin, kann ich nur sagen, hier wurde an alles gedacht. Einfach perfekt und nichts zu bemängeln. Weiter so!

what a beautiful place and the most welcoming hosts I ever had, the place is about 20 min walking from the main street with shoppings, Ibud palca and lovely cafes and restaurants. You will enjoy the swimming pool after a long day of activities. i recommend 1000%

Oki, Marasini, and Made made me feel so welcomed. Oki reached out before my flight to ensure airport pick up was arranged if needed, which it was. This was my first time to another country and could not have had a better experience!! From the time I arrived to the time I left everyone was so welcoming and kind. Services and amenities were as listed and prompt responses provided. Oki told me a lot about Balanese culture in our car ride and he even helped me with money exchange and currency conversion. we talked abput some of the activities. I wasnt quite sure about my Dollar to IDR conversion immediately and Oki made sure that I did not overpay the kind airport man helping me with luggage. Made so generously made me breakfast everymorning of my stay. The villa was well secured and makes you feel at home. It was a true place for relaxation and winding down after a long day of activities. I will be back with my family, and am no doubt staying at Oikoka Villa again ❤🙏. -Heather, Colorado

We had a great time staying here for 4 days. You need to walk 3-4 mins from the main road (where you can park your scooter if renting one) to get here but the walk is beautiful and surrounding is very peaceful. Tria and her brother helped us with our luggage at arrival and departure. It was great to wake up to the sounds of chirping of birds in the morning. The place is also very close to central Ubud area. We could easily walk there on our first day and rented a scooter to explore more areas for rest of the days.

Nous sommes vraiment tombés amoureux de cette jolie villa ! Tout est présent pour vous charmer : une belle chambre donnant sur une piscine et une vue sur la rizière à couper le souffle. Cette expérience en pleine nature permet de complètement déconnecter, de s’éloigner de la foule et du trafic d’Ubud. Même si ce n’est pas en plein centre, de très bonnes adresses, en particulier restaurants et Spas, ne manquent pas aux alentours. Petit plus pour Shesha, la sœur de Kadek, qui a été vraiment adorable avec nous. Très arrangeante et toujours souriante, c’était un réel plaisir quand elle venait nous apporter le petit déjeuner. Notre communication a également était parfaite avec Kadek avant notre arrivée. Les hôtes nous proposent aussi des services tels que transfert depuis l’aéroport ou location de scooter, ce qui est très appréciable. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter si nous sommes à nouveau de passage à Bali !

One of the most unforgettable and unique places we've ever stayed in! Stunning view of the rice fields on all sides. Spotlessly clean space, and large and cozy. Made was such a wonderful and welcoming host (and kindly arranged cleaning every 3 days, we felt so looked after). Conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from downtown Ubud. Up on a little plateau, so though it's a bit of a slope to go up, you feel pleasantly separated from the busy-ness of the main tourist area. Highly recommend!

Our stay was wonderful. Our property manager, Agus, was responsive and helpful. The villa was peaceful, as described, and quiet. It is a longish walk to the actual villa, and no parking, except in a designated parking area about 200 metres away, but this was not a problem for us. On arrival we were greeted and our suitcases were carried to the villa for us, the same as on departure. Wonderful service. Great restaurants all up and down the gang and a small local shop to buy drinks. Would stay again for sure.

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. The place is better than pictures and Bayu’s hospitality was simply the best we have experienced. They were very proactive in communication and friendly, he recommended local food and massage spots - all were top tier. This airbnb was the highlight of our trip, its located in a cute village with a stream flowing right behind our room - far away from the crowds and traffic in Bali. The cafe nearby was pretty good too, one of the nicer vegan meals we had during our week long stay in Bali. Hope to be back soon. Highly recommend Bayu’s place for the most authentic experience in Bali.

Azzuri and her team were great hosts. They were always super helpful with things like organising scooters, taxis, helping with transporting our luggage etc. The place is tucked away from the busy streets, which was absolutely what we needed. It was great hanging out by or in the pool all day!

Notre séjour fut impeccable. Putu et sa femme sont des hôtes très réactifs et chaleureux. On se sent comme à la maison. Le paysage est magnifique, leur cuisine est délicieuse, les lieux sont très bien entretenus, y compris la piscine, et le logement est très spacieux… En bref, rien à redire, c’était parfait. Les alentours ressemblent à des tableaux vivants, avec un paysage à la fois exotique et apaisant. Un moment incroyable, n’hésitez surtout pas !

Our family of four had a great time here! The location is perfect for exploring Ubud, and the staff are super friendly and helpful—they even assisted us with booking tickets to Nusa Penida. The villa has three bedrooms, and we were allowed to use all of them. The view is absolutely breathtaking, with lush greenery and a peaceful river—very healing. My dad especially loved meditating here. We’ll definitely come back with friends next time!

My stay at Made’s was once again magical. This villa was spacious, peaceful, and private, with a beautifully cozy setup nestled among the rice fields. The perfect place to rest and unwind. I love the location, just outside the busy areas but only about 10 minutes from everything. For me, it’s perfect, as I prefer less noise and more nature. Made and his team were amazing as always! Thank you so much 🙏🏼 Highly recommended!

Masterclass. Since retiring, we have managed to come to Ubud from Sydney almost every year. Two-bedroom villas, here in Penestanan, are always our first choice. The area’s peaceful, pedestrian-friendly pathways are unique. And safe. We’ve stayed in many of the villas nearby, and this one is truly exceptional. The design and layout work so well; the pool is always an inviting temperature; the appliances, the tableware, linen and fixtures are top quality. Everything works beautifully. The garden is manicured to perfection. The people who manage and maintain the villa are lovely, and they are truly dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible. They could run a Masterclass in hospitality. So, if you are browsing reviews of Ubud accomodation, and still undecided, you can believe what AirBNB says about Kunang Kunang villa: “This is a rare find. Book soon.”

This place is so peaceful & private. I loved staying here. My nervous system could rest deeply, the location being away from the busy city center. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is excellent, with instant easily controllable hot water, a big tub, and morning sunlight streaming in through the skylight. 2nd bed is outside on porch area. The location is a 10-minute walk to Alchemy Cafe. The road to get there is a narrow bike path. If you don't rent a motorbike, you can use the Grab app or the like to book a taxi bike. I recommend this unless you are really comfortable at driving motorbikes! Taxi bikes are very cheap. The walls are thin, as there is only plexiglass over the ornate wood carving openings. On rare occasion (3 nights out of about 30) I did get woken up by a nearby dog in the night. But I can be a light sleeper. Ratni is kind and is easy to communicate with. He and his family brought my bags to and from the parking lot by Tiger Sushi for arrival and departure.

Putu and his team were absolutely amazing! Not only was the place beautiful, but Putu was so helpful when it came to food, transportation, and activities to do. The food was absolutely amazing, our rooms were cleaned everyday, and we never had an issue with transportation. Lastly, coming from North America, it was very refreshing to see that we could also pay with card and not just rupiah. I highly recommend staying in Ubud at this Villa

Stunning place, gorgeous clean big rooms and well stocked big kitchen. Enjoyed breakfast daily and staff were respectful, friendly and just lovely. Loved the outdoor big bathrooms, pool and Bali hut. Recommend! Thank you

Every now and then you find a gem, this is one. Set in a magical setting with rainforest/ jungle around you. The hostess Ayu was so helpful and available all the time. The best villa we have ever stayed at. Outdoor showers, beautiful pool, lovely kitchen and outdoor area. Easy into town, eateries all within walking distance.

Yande was an amazing host. Myself and some friends had a bachelor party for my brother at the Villa and had an amazing time. We got accommodations to go on an ATV trip the day before and Yande was constantly in communication and got the trip booked without any issues. The other staff were amazing as well, everyone knew our names after the first hour of being there and made us all feel at home. The property itself was beautiful, seclude, and welcoming. However the staff is really what made the stay amazing. Thanks for putting up with us Yande we appreciate everything!

We had the most wonderful stay at Melodie’s place. The villa was amazing, clean and had the ‘wow’ factor. The master bedroom was luxurious. The villa was a lovely retreat to relax in after a busy day exploring Ubud. Great restaurants across the road from the villa. The location is great. Communication was fabulous, Putri is a dream host who makes great breakfast, happy to help with any recommendations of things to do. Her husband and son were our drivers and they were very professional. Highly recommended! Thanks so much Putri!
