Through the front door you enter a spacious hall where you walk up the stairs and enter the apartment. Through the hallway you will reach the bedroom with a comfortable double box-spring bed. A special place, because you literally walk up the heath from our yard. No traffic, no neighbors, no crowds. The adventure starts on arrival, because in order to reach our cottage you must drive a short kilometer on a sandy road. This road is not accessible to traffic. Much quieter you won't get it in the Netherlands!

We were there in June as a group of four – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay totally thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes by car.

The dune house is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing time on Ameland. Located directly on the dunes, you can experience the nature of the island in all its facets. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. Geertje is a great host and communication with her was very pleasant. We will be happy to come back and can absolutely recommend a stay dune house!

We had a very nice stay as a family in the very spacious house. The large living room was particularly nice, the kitchen offers everything you need. Jaap was very helpful, gave us tips and was very flexible with a late check-out. The area is wonderfully quiet and idyllic.

There were two of us for 4 nights in the accommodation, which belongs to a larger complex. Communication with the owner was straightforward and friendly. Everything necessary was available on site, coffee, tea, etc. was ready for the first day. Thank you! We were able to rent bikes directly in the building and explore the area. All in all, our vacation was very relaxing. We liked the place and Ameland very much!

Very nice hosts, accommodating and helpful. Great, clean room with balcony in which we felt very comfortable. Beautiful and interesting location. We can only recommend the place and the host.

We had a great stay! The apartment is clean and very well equipped (especially the kitchen). We didn't find the volume bad, as written in other reviews. You can hear normal everyday noises, as usual in hotel complexes. But probably also the neighbors you have right now. Overall, we are very satisfied.

It was one of the best houses we stayed in. Dear Odile's elegance stood out in every detail of the house. Even the quality of the bed linens was a great detail, really. They created a great space for us. The area was very calm and peaceful. Since there are nearby settlements, restaurants and markets are within driving distance. We loved the house. Henk and Odile were both very hospitable and very kind. The house was really clean and tidy. We left very happy and satisfied. We can't wait to see you again and be there with our kids.
