Aish Cross - Hayloft idyllic cottage - near Totnes

LeanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Thank you for a lovely stay at The Hayloft. We were made to feel very welcome from the beginning and throughout. The hamper was lovely, the cottage cosy and the garden was amazing - the kids had a great time running around outside and in the games room, and the dog (who was on his first ever holiday) also loved all the space and freedom. We used the BBQ hut for my husband's birthday on the second night with some friends and their children and it was great to celebrate in a private space like that. The location was peaceful - it really felt like we were away from it all - but close enough to local attractions and beaches, we enjoyed trips to Dartmouth, Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and the River Dart Country park. Having the EV charger on site was a great benefit as it meant we could travel with the certainty that we could charge up on our return on each day. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and showed real care for us and our children. A lovely stay and would highly recommend.

We had the most amazing stay. Everything had been considered down to the little touches of home baked bread and fresh eggs. You really couldn’t ask for better hosts.

Peaceful, rural, two bedroom converted barn

NicolaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a wonderful host Gill is and such a beautiful and immaculate cottage the Milking Parlour is. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the outdoor space was perfect for the dog. We only stayed two nights but could have comfortably stayed longer. Fantastic stay x

The Snuggle

MihaiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful stay in this lovely little shepherd's hut. The view is absolutely incredible, perfect for a cosy and peaceful getaway. The whole place has a beautiful eco-friendly feel that instantly makes you feel grounded and connected to nature. We were warmly greeted by Mihaela on arrival, who made us a delicious salad and a lovely drink to enjoy in the hut. She was friendly, welcoming, and a great point of contact throughout our stay. This retreat truly helped me reset my mind. It was exactly what I needed to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with myself. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and recharge in nature.

Absolutely blown away to be honest. The owl houses are stunning. From the overall feel to the small details they have nailed it. I'll definitely be coming back for sure and will hold the trips memories with me for many years to come. Thank you Lou and Tim for sharing this amazing space and good luck for the next venture!

self-contained riverside property

NevilleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Riverside Cottage was an absolute delight! We were a family of 10 across three generations. The location is outstanding and the birdlife alone made staying there fascinating. But the river itself, with its tidal metamorphosis twice a day provided at low water a feeding ground for eager birds... ducks, geese, egret, heron and more. And at high water it was a playground for eager adults and children, in kayaks, canoe, rowboat and in my own small inflatable rib. And games on the lawn when the tide was in between. Fabulous fun all round! The cottage itself is beautiful, very comfortable and bedecked with works of art. And if it could tell you its history, it would tell some fascinating tales. Felicity had made contact from the initial booking and had communicated regularly to ensure that our stay was going to be a success. In Felicity's absence, friend Louise was on hand to welcome us and to deal with any issues during our stay. In summary, it was fabulous!

Charming thatched cottage on South Devon coast

NicolaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Helen’s cottage is in a really special village - beautifully positioned on the river Dart, with wonderful scenery & loads to do locally. The village shop is amazingly well-stocked with great produce & the owners very friendly. The cottage is super cosy, clean & comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed - well equipped & tidy. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Helen 🌞
