Lovely cosy well equipped lodge for family of 4 & cocker spaniel. Lodge was clean & had a comfortable stay. Great location on site & lucky to have nice weather to sit out on decking. Good facilities on site & heated pool was fab. Short walk to Brockhole & good location for drive to Ambleside & Grasmere Would recommend. Thankyou

A stunning interior and gorgeous views. Zero noise pollution. Nice and spacious for 2 guests; plenty of storage space which doesn’t take up any unnecessary room. I absolutely loved the vanity I’ll be taking notes for my own house! Host Nathalie was super friendly and welcoming. Wouldn’t change a thing, for sure will return!

Thank you for such a lovely stay. The whole family are so welcoming & made us feel at ease from the outset. Angela could not have provided more from the thoughtful welcome pack right through to dressing gowns & slippers. The hot tub was amazing & loved by my daughter, she also wanted me to say how much she loved the bed (very comfortable). The lodge & bedroom with bathroom were fully equipped & spotless. It was a pleasure to meet the whole family including the dogs who were so friendly with an added bonus for my daughter who got to play with Angela’s granddaughter. There was nothing more we could have wanted during our stay from the accommodation through to the surroundings. Thank you again we will be back x

It was an absolute pleasure to spend 3 nights at Huntercrook Lodge. The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful lodge or to the stunning views. The location is excellent with plenty of walks available. The lodge is very well-equipped, impeccably clean and is just so comfortable. The small touches are all there and we were very grateful for the welcome basket, homemade cake and bottle of prosecco. We loved sitting on the veranda or in the hot tub with some drinks taking in the views. We enjoyed walks to Twice Brewed, Hadrian's Wall and Sycamore Gap but spent most of our time enjoying the lodge. Julia and Robin are excellent hosts and I can't recommend a stay at Huntercrook highly enough. I look forward to returning in the future!

Loved our stay here, it was a perfect base for exploring the fells. Kitchen was well equipped, shower was powerful and hot and the hot tub was great for relaxing. The park is central to many towns and activities and we used the nearby bus alot to eat out and shop.

Staying at the Burrow felt like being on a peaceful retreat. The accommodation itself is really cleverly and beautifully designed and had everything we needed, along with a lot of thoughtful touches. Having our own corner of the field felt luxurious, and we loved sitting out on the decking and watching it get dark from the wood fired hot tub. It was spotless and we felt really looked after. We appreciated being able to walk from the door without having to drive, and the bespoke OS map was really handy for finding a route.

The boat house was a peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings! Adam was a great host and his responsiveness to messages was spot on. We loved the fact we could bob along the lake on a Pedlo at no extra cost! We will DEFINITELY be staying again soon.

A beautiful, modern cabin with everything you could ask for and more! All the little touches were amazing and the hot tub was a hit! Perfect location and a 10 second walk to the Lake which was lovely in the evenings. Host responded really quickly and everything was smooth and easy. Would definitely return and worth the money! We had an absolutely amazing stay, the pod was great it had everything we needed and kept us warm during the very rainy nights we stayed there. The only downside was the road getting down to the pods as our car wasn't so suitable for the off road which we didn't realise (our own fault for having a very low car and not completely reading the description). But other than that the stay was amazing and we will 100% be back in a different car! Thank you for making the pod so welcoming and allowing dogs!!

Me my partner and our son stayed here for a few nights, lovely little cabin, very cosy, aesthetically pleasing to look at, lovely view from outside, felt right at home. Will definitely be staying here again the location is great and shops are only a 10 minute drive away, very quiet area which is what you want, surrounding neighbours are very friendly and lovely. One of the best cabins I’ve ever stayed in didn’t want to leave. I recommend this to anyone. Thank you Gareth for our stay we’ve very much enjoyed it!

We had a lovely couple of days away here. Despite a local power-cut before we arrived, there was great communication and offers of help to ensure we had all we needed if the power didn't return to the park. We couldn't have asked for more helpful hosts. Accommodation was spacious enough for our 2 nights with comfy beds. The outdoor furniture could do with a little refresh, and the decking didn't get much evening sun, but there were other quiet spots across the park we could enjoy what little sunshine we did have!

Really enjoyed our stay, some lovely little surprises on the farm aswell (I won’t give it away!) Really beautiful surroundings and Marion was lovely too. Thankyou so much, hope to be back.

Thank you Paul for a lovely stay! We booked this place to celebrate my 31st birthday and my sons 1st birthday and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lake District. Paul was incredibly responsive when I had a query about the use of amenities on site, it is worth noting though that whilst you have access to the pool it is at a charge of £7.50 per person and it isn't open all of the time so you book into a 45 minute slot to use it. Booking for the pool can be done on the day, though. Other than that, a fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend Paul's place to others wanting to explore Windermere and would definitely return again. Thank you, Paul for a lovely stay! 😍

What a lovely place with such wonderful hosts! If you're looking to escape deep into the countryside, this is the perfect spot. Nestled in the middle of a field, the charming pod features two bedrooms, a combined living, dining, and kitchen area, and a separate toilet and shower just outside. Surrounded by scenic views, with beautiful walks through the meadows and along the lovely river nearby, it’s a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The hosts — Brenda, Mum, and Dad — were warm, welcoming, a pleasure to chat with, and very helpful. Instructions were clear, and communication was always prompt. We had such a memorable stay - we couldn't recommend it more!

The lodge was in a beautiful location over looking the lake. It instantly felt so homely and was well equipped with everything you’d need and more; down to the paddle boards and life jackets Charlotte allows guests to use on their stay. Charlotte was a fantastic host and send me a lengthy email weeks before hand with useful information. great tips, places to visit and more. I would definitely love to return to the lodge again soon.

I would have liked a black out blind on the door to pull down at night because I like a completely blacked out space to sleep in. Realise this prob not an issue in the winter but birds are awake at 5 am in the summer time . Lovely place felt right at home and walk into bowness got easier everytime esp on way back. 😂👍🏻thank u

Had an amazing stay at the pod! The place was spotless when we arrived, very private and peaceful. Can’t express how nice the pods are will defiantly book again but for a full weekend

The Moon Cottage was just great. From booking, to staying and departing it was blissfully easy and they were so friendly! They kept in touch incase we needed anything (luckily we didnt) and always responded very quickly to answer a few questions we had before we arrived. The cottage was just beautiful, it was absolutely spotless and decorated quirky and cute 😍. There was everything we needed and more to really make ourselves at home. 10 out of 10 we would recommend to stay at the Moon Cottage. If we are ever back in this area, this will be the first place we book !

Absolutely loved our stay at Jennifer's place. Was a last minute booking to celebrate a birthday and finding this place available was perfect and on top of that we were so lucky with the weather. It's been a long time since visited the lakes and never had the weather so good. Jennifer's place had everything you could possible need, it was clean & homely and felt so comfortable. It is furnished so beautifully with great attention to detail, beautiful pictures around the home and the kitchen was so well equipped. Jennifer the host was happy to help with any questions. We had a fantastic break at Paul's lodge. The lodge was very welcoming, spacious, immaculately clean, well equipped and elegantly decorated. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. The lodge is an outstanding place to stay and very close to the lakes and towns. We just used the bus services to get to Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick which travels every 20 minutes from the lodges main road. Paul's communication was fantastic instructions clear for checking in and responded immediately when we needed something. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return back.

Beautiful peaceful cabin for a getaway from the busy life. Sheep can be seen around and overall a very cosy and comfortable stay. Definitely need to drive to the location though, wouldn’t know how to get around without a car as most amenities are a few mins drive away. Lovely stay and would recommend for a weekend 💕🐑

Shirleys accommodation is excellent. The property is well laid out, is a private location and has everything that caters for your needs. Would certainly recommend this accommodation. Also would recommend Shirley as an exceptional host, being very inviting and during our stay, providing us with a lift to retrieve our vehicle several miles away having attended a wedding the previous day. Communication with Shirley throughout the booking process up until the point we vacated was excellent. If in the area again we will certainly be looking to book.

We had a great stay at the Bothy, which is perfect for a couple for a weekend away. Beautiful location and very well designed - whilst it’s small, all the space is used really well. The pizza oven is a great touch and the outdoor area is again really well designed - despite the weather being windy and rainy we were able to comfortably sit outside under the pagoda and enjoy our (slightly burnt) pizzas. Friendly hosts who added some great extra touches for birthday celebrations and whose clear instructions made the bothy easy to find. Thank you both, we would love to come back in the future!
